      Wait wait wait, did I really watch you hammer out the kerf for the saw teeth? They're supposed to be set wider than the blade...and then I see at the end you totally did restore the kerf. :-) I was like "noooooooooooooo" and then "Oh, OK!". The handle scales looked good too.

      The scales are a material called C-Tek. I put it in the description. Thanks for watching.

    What material did you fabricate the handle from?

    • @AcmeRestorations
      @AcmeRestorations  2 года назад +1

      It's call C-tek. It's an aluminum honeycomb filled with epoxy resin.

    7:25 - is this wabbling of the blade visual illusion?

    • @AcmeRestorations
      @AcmeRestorations  2 года назад

      Yes! It's because of the sync speed of the camera. Pretty weird.

  • @HolyJuan
    @HolyJuan 2 года назад +1

    What is the honeycomb handle material called?

    • @AcmeRestorations
      @AcmeRestorations  2 года назад +3

      C-Tek honeycomb knife scales. Google that and you'll find it.

    What if you increase the sand blaster pressure?

    • @AcmeRestorations
      @AcmeRestorations  2 года назад +1

      If you increase the pressure, you obliterate the blasting medium into dust and it can't be reused. The dust also then makes it hard to take video that is watchable. It's a delicate balance. Somethings like paint go fast; rust takes a little longer. Thanks for the question.

    You wasted a lot of time and effort. You removed the set on the saw so now it’s useless.

    • @AcmeRestorations
      @AcmeRestorations  2 года назад +3

      Perhaps if you had watched the whole video you would have seen the part where I used a saw set to reset the teeth.
      That can be seen here 11:57
      I don't mind constructive criticism, but this ain't that.

      I was just thinking to myself, saw teeth only saw when sharp and alternately off set. Then you put pressed alternate teeth back into an off set profile. Never seen that done. Broadened my horizon. Great work! Congrats.
