great pod cast- when you play tennis you make a match- call players for singles or doubles- Like pickle ball some one can show up and wait hoping you and they will let them transition in or rotate in- pickle ball is like a herd mentality - the more players the better- you don't want to be hitting with your 80 years old husband on a singles pickle ball court you want the other players to mix in with the more the better- as for tennis you build the bridge. they will come- that's what tennis need to promote-
-- my club I have 3 nights/days of tennis that you can get hold of me and you can play one way or the other- If someone is not calling you and your not call someone to play you are not playing tennis- I personally will not make matches but will forward players names and you have to do the work other then the nights/days I put on- I don't play pickle ball

My experience is exactly as described by Shelly. I estimate being under 200 feet from the courts, with a very busy intersection in between. Hours 7am -10 pm so the players have 15 hours to play and I have only 9 hours of quiet. A highway close by, a childcare and intersection noise are all drowned out by the PB noise. Cannot do anything in my backyard, on my deck, in my pool etc...have lost all enjoyment in and out of my home. I have to put on music/tv etc to block the noise of the PB inside my home. Windows cannot be opened; weather, I live in MN, has not stopped playing; snow is shoveled and the 100 degree heat indexes only slowed the play to 2 courts vs 6 ....
I clearly see the courts every single day/night as my formal living room faces east where the courts are. I pay high property taxes (12K) and my home, which I have lived in for almost 24 years, is a now a prison!! Emails/conversations with Parks & Rec Director have been useless; have spoken to Asst. City Manager and waiting on a response...not holding my breath.
I WFH and am angry all the time!
