Thank you for making videos that teach and help people be better towards hamsters. My first hamster came into my life in 2020 and since then, I've realized how wonderful pets they make. They deserve the best care.
I have 4 cats and 6rats and 1 hampster they my world I be lost without out them they cheer me up when IAM sad I love them Al and yes they Al get on even with the rats and hampster

Rabbits diet is a pretty tricky thing. I personally feed mine with hay 24/7 and in the morning and evening they get a huge pile of fresh greens (like in the video) and some green vegetables. Pellets are a no-no, because my rabbits also get sick of it. I give them sometimes oat flakes or sunflower seets without the shell as a treat.

Love the shirt! I finally got my hamster. He's a short haired Syrian. I took a lot of your advice in providing a home for him. I went with a 20in by 34in enclosure. I hope to get a larger one soon. A week in and he already cuddles with me. I named him Horus. Thanks for all you do!
Man waddles is a year and 10 months right now almost 2 years old! He’s getting pretty old and he’s doing amazing! Mabel and dipper are doing super well too. They aren’t as old as waddles but they are adorable

I love that you feed your cats raw food! I do as well. I started with EZComplete but now I’ve been using Darwin’s premade raw. I would suggest adding in a pre+probiotic for your cats in the morning as well!
Thanks! Darwins isn't available here but I've heard good things about it! Usually I'll use a probiotic if one is on antibiotics but I'll look into it more.

Thanks to you, I found an ethical breeder and got put on a 6 month waitlist so I can build my baby an ikea linnmon enclosure and have everything ready for him before he ever comes home. You are truly amazing at what you do (even though you don't like to be put on a pedestal) and I hope you continue these videos for a long time so that more people can learn about the proper care of these animals and that they deserve the care that every other animal does, the best.

The thing is to all the haters out there, is that she’s already given us so much incredibly helpful tips + info on all sorts of pet care and specifically hamsters, and that we should be thankful and not greedy to want more and more, and Victoria has the right to not be sharing absolutely everything and we should respect that. Unfortunately my cats are kibble addicts. They love dry stuff, so I decided to give them the highest quality kibble with one fresh food meal for moisture. They will not TOUCH anything else!
So I accidentally discovered something that might make hamster cage cleanings much easier!! (If you didn’t already know this) I was messing around with one of those invisible black light pens and decided I’d shine the light in my hamsters cage for literally no reason at all (he was asleep so it didn’t bother him) and after doing so, I found out that his pee shows up in black light!!! It’s made cage cleanings since then sooooo much easier! I figured I’d share it where some people could find it useful for those who didn’t know this! Happy cage cleaning🧼🐹💡

May I ask what pellets you tried? Only asking because most pellets have additives such as grains, corn and sugar to make them more favourable for rabbits. This includes Oxbow rabbit pellets. These additives are a big reason why rabbits on pellets go into GI stasis. It took me months to find a brand which is grain free, sugar free and has no additives. It has one ingredient which is timothy hay, and then added vitamins and minerals such as selenium which is not found in Canadian soil and very important for animals which eat hay or grass such as horses, cows and rabbits. The brand is Sherwood. Which many people say their rabbits don't like, but that's because there is no sugar in it. Give a kid McDonald every day, then give them a salad. They wont like the salad. Same applies for rabbits.
hello my name is Jasmin and I am 11 years old. I know people do not think kids should own pets but I have four and they do great! Hi Victoria! I have a question… I’m about to by a multi chamber hideout and platforms from niteangel. But I noticed that you can buy cork mats to place on top of them. Are those cork mats waterproof, or do they absorb whatever liquid gets on them? I noticed that you also have these mats on your platforms and hideouts, so I thought you would know.❤

omg most of the hamster care we are all doing is WRONG but we are on a budget so we can't get a big big cage I'm not sure how our cage is but it says medium-sized we use wood shaving as bedding are hamster kind of burrows but we don't have enough money to put a lot of bedding since we are on a budget and can only get bedding when we run out oure hamster is in a wire enclosure and is chewing the bars and I know what this can lead to but we cannot get a different cage because we don't have enough money our hamster is a Russian dwarf hamster . our hamster never have one used it's wheel and I don't know what's this means pls answer and educate me more about what is happening

Hi Victoria! I have loved your videos ever since I got my first 🐹 in May if I had not of found your channel both of my hamsters would have been in small cages with no enrichment.( I have now got a female Syrian and a female Campbell dwarf)
Please please please I beg you talk about hamster fur loss. I’ve when to every vet around me and no one can tell me the cause of my hamsters fur loss near his butt. His skin is healthy and he has no worms but has fur loss.

I wanted to know if it’s okay for me to have a dog that comes into my room daily. She’s a Labrador Retriever if that helps. Cause I’d love for my hamster and dog to be in the same room without interactions! Thanks! ❤
It's probably fine just really make sure the dog cannot get to the hamster and the hamster can't see or smell the dog too much. Like it might be good to put the cage on a table and have latches that the dog cannot at all get through. Ideally they would be in seperate rooms all the time, but as long as the hamster cannot be accessed or stressed out by the dog it shouldn't be a problem
Hi Victoria! My sister's hamster's eye seems to be glued shut. He hasn't opened his right eye in a long time and we're a little concerned. Is there anything you know that can help him? (we've had him for 2y, got him second-hand probably around 2½ or 3y old)
I love your nails!! I usually feed my Syrian hamsters a tbsp of food (Higgins Sunburst+Mazuri Rat and Mouse blocks) every other day, do you think it would be better to feed them every day? P.S. Your hamster care makes e so happy, I wish that every hamster was living in those kind of cages!

@@BagelsLife I wouldn’t feed my hamsters something dangerous. I personally don’t share mine because; -This mix is what works for my hamsters and I've adjusted already a couple of times to suit them better -legal aspects, I do not want to deal with someone blaming me for a death or illness -By just following someone else's recipe you won't learn how to calculate each ingredient in case you need to add something or switch out one thing for another, one ingredient added to a mix can change the entire nutritional value of the whole seed mix. - and lastly, you won't gain the experience from learning to make your own hamster food if you just follow a recipe 😊

Usually it's best to do that for stuff like a wooden cage, houses, sand baths and platforms but when it comes to stuff like bendy bridges and chew toys it's best to leave it unvarnished so that the hamster wants to chew it more
Hi Victoria! I’m getting a bunny very soon and she’s only 6 weeks. I’ve done research and it says baby bunnies has sensitive stomachs so salads aren’t recommend till 3 months. What should I feed her in the mean time then?

I actually have never listened to them and just liked the look of the shirt and it was a buy 1 get 2 free type of deal 😅 The seed mix I use now has been changed and tweaked many times unfortunuely the links I used to use for others to learn how to make their own seed mix no longer exist :(

I have one other question that will seem silly. You feed your babies twice a day. I usually just feed mine at night because she’s up in the evening and early before I’m up. If I feed her in the morning, she sleeps all day and won’t even notice. Should I change to twice a day?
I got DNA tested for the faulty BRCA gene and some other genes for breast cancer after getting ovarian cancer. I also had another 🧬 DNA test for how well I handle certain medicines. I found out that one of the ones I used to take wasn't one of the better ones for me.

You could make it more general and do why petstores shouldn't sell unsuitable accessories for pets ie dog rawhides, small hamster wheels, chinchilla/hamster balls, small cages, etc.

To put some lb or kg on the rabbits you can use sunflower seeds
They can overtime build up in a rabbits GI track. Which can cause GI statas

Please please please I beg you talk about hamster fur loss. I’ve when to every vet around me and no one can tell me the cause of my hamsters fur loss near his butt. His skin is healthy and he has no worms but has fur loss.
Hey Victoria! I have a question about hamsters! So me and my parents have been thinking slightly about getting a hamster, so I’ve been watching your channel for a while! I wanted to know if it’s okay for me to have a dog that comes into my room daily. She’s a Labrador Retriever if that helps. Cause I’d love for my hamster and dog to be in the same room without interactions! Thanks! ❤
It's probably fine just really make sure the dog cannot get to the hamster and the hamster can't see or smell the dog too much. Like it might be good to put the cage on a table and have latches that the dog cannot at all get through. Ideally they would be in seperate rooms all the time, but as long as the hamster cannot be accessed or stressed out by the dog it shouldn't be a problem
oh and also if the dog barks a lot that's probably not good because hamsters have very sensitive hearing

Hi Victoria! My sister's hamster's eye seems to be glued shut. He hasn't opened his right eye in a long time and we're a little concerned. Is there anything you know that can help him? (we've had him for 2y, got him second-hand probably around 2½ or 3y old)

I usually feed my Syrian hamsters a tbsp of food (Higgins Sunburst+Mazuri Rat and Mouse blocks) every other day, do you think it would be better to feed them every day?

@@BagelsLife I wouldn’t feed my hamsters something dangerous. I personally don’t share mine because;
-This mix is what works for my hamsters and I've adjusted already a couple of times to suit them better
-legal aspects, I do not want to deal with someone blaming me for a death or illness
-By just following someone else's recipe you won't learn how to calculate each ingredient in case you need to add something or switch out one thing for another, one ingredient added to a mix can change the entire nutritional value of the whole seed mix.
- and lastly, you won't gain the experience from learning to make your own hamster food if you just follow a recipe 😊

Hi I love your videos I'm learning so much ❤ but was curious do you coat your wood items like stands and homes etc in plasticoat at all to protect the wood from pee damage?
Usually it's best to do that for stuff like a wooden cage, houses, sand baths and platforms but when it comes to stuff like bendy bridges and chew toys it's best to leave it unvarnished so that the hamster wants to chew it more

Hi Victoria! I’m getting a bunny very soon and she’s only 6 weeks. I’ve done research and it says baby bunnies has sensitive stomachs so salads aren’t recommend till 3 months. What should I feed her in the mean time then?

Thank you! I actually have never listened to them and just liked the look of the shirt and it was a buy 1 get 2 free type of deal 😅 The seed mix I use now has been changed and tweaked many times unfortunuely the links I used to use for others to learn how to make their own seed mix no longer exist :(

I have one other question that will seem silly. You feed your babies twice a day. I usually just feed mine at night because she’s up in the evening and early before I’m up. If I feed her in the morning, she sleeps all day and won’t even notice. Should I change to twice a day?

I got DNA tested for the faulty BRCA gene and some other genes for breast cancer after getting ovarian cancer. I also had another 🧬 DNA test for how well I handle certain medicines.

Hey I have to write a persuasive speech for my class and I would love to make it about hamster care but here’s my problem I don’t know exactly what I could do it about because if I were to say tiny hamster cages should be banned, I wouldn’t be thinking about the size of the wheels or bedding depth. If you, Victoria or anyone else have any ideas please let me know. Thank you!
You could make it more general and do why petstores shouldn't sell unsuitable accessories for pets ie dog rawhides, small hamster wheels, chinchilla/hamster balls, small cages, etc.

How did the plaqueoff work for you? I use in but haven't noticed an improvement, I also heard the amount of iodine in it is potentially dangerous
It literally made no difference for them haha
