I have four Gerbils, 7 Chickens, 1 Duck (we had four but three were taken by bobcats), my brother had a Guinea Pig , and the family pet is our cat, Blackie. Thank you for writing the disclaimer in the description. Many people impulse buy animals and end up giving the animals away or don't give them the proper care. My brother and I do a lot of research on animals. I am really happy that me and my brother are able to give animals good homes. People: Before getting any animal, do research. Figure out what animals are and are not good for you life style. Learn about their diet needs and what size cage to get them. How much play time do they need. Please, please, please, do your research so that you can give you new pet the best life they can get!

Seeing Grinch do his little dust bath stole my heart. He's grown so much more comfortable and looks a million times healthier and happier! And I wish more people could see how wonderful snakes are. I used to do security at a site in the woods and every weekend a huge rat snake would sneak on by and inspect the water hose and sun in the flower bed in front of the shack. I never bothered him or tried to get near him, but I feel like he definitely knew I wouldn't stop him from doing his thing and he wasn't scared or threatened by me at all after a few visits. Just a gentle sausage doing his thing. So cute. ♡ Usually in the south snakes are considered pests but they're so curious and full of personality.
I don't see anyone talking about your skunk, puddin', I think she is absolutely adorable I've always thought skunks were so cute along with owls and snakes. Sadly my family hates snakes but I love them they are so cute.
I’m only here for the ferrets 😅 I like the way you presented this video, emphasising that having large numbers of animals should not be considered a normal situation that just anyone can or should aspire to, and that having a successful animal channel does not require you to have an abnormal number of pets. It’s such an important message to send in the current climate of pet-youtube and especially while the concerning “who has the most pets” game still seems to be dominating the communities. My care knowledge doesn’t expand far outside the world of mammals, but it was so nice to see all of the different animal types you’ll be featuring on the channel, I’m looking forward to see more of them in future videos 😊
ErinsAnimals Thanks Erin :) I have nothing but respect for PetTube, but there’s definitely a trend for amassing a huge amount of animals without explaining the cost and toll involved. It’s better to keep things manageable because this lifestyle is not for everyone. I’m glad that it didn’t come across as bragging

It saddened me for a brief moment when you mentioned her retail value. It is so odd that we can literally buy a companion and I really really enjoy snakes with natural color patterns. Then thinking about how their retail price can allow them to have a beautiful life made me cheer up again :) She is priceless
Ball pythons are definitely more than 10 dollars and even more so at that size. I was waiting for someone to comment about that proce quote cause that's wayyyy cheap for that snake. Probably depending on where you're at but where I am which is WA state they are way more than 10 dollars
@@taranadon4750 price typically depends of breeding. you can get a ball python for not too expensive (meaning under $100) if the scale patterns don't matter to you. I know everyone is naturally attracted to unique and beautifully colored things, but a common ball python is just as good as a "designer" python. I think of it as adopting the black cat or the pitbull because people just seem to not care about them as much. but idk maybe im just a sentimental underdog supporter lol

A baby bird fell from its nest in my backyard and we couldn't get it without touching it. We called the animal people, but it was too late. I wish I had known that touching the bird wouldn't make the parent disown it. :c
it really depends. most of the time it is 100% safe to help the bird, but, say, if you smelled strongly of your dog, or another predator, the mother may disown it.

I have a “wardy” ferret. She’s under 2 pounds, can’t hear, but is adorable, and healthy other than that. Her brother is 4 pound in the winter. HUGE. Looks like a aurora ferret bc his fur is so long in the winter.
I don't know why people are afraid of snakes. There all so freakin gorgeous. There so cute. They don't bite unless you provoke them. Even then you'll need to do a lot of provoking(cough, losers cough)

When it gets too warm for my ferrets, usually I'd get a used water bottle, freeze it and then put it in with them so they don't get too warm. I've never actually thought of your approach but it seems good. love ya! xx Jodi Lee
Kookabara!! Kingfishers are my most favourite birds! I remember when I was small, I used to sit with my mother in the garden and see them sit on an old antenna in top of my house. I used to collect their fallen feathers from the garden along with parrot feathers
I don’t see the point of getting a birds wings clipped because when you think bird you think of flight so if their wings are clipped they can’t fly which takes the point out being a bird
100% agree with you about how it’s ridiculous but for some people with high ceilings/fans that stay on all the time, or other factors it’s just the best option to keep them safe, (but obviously there’s more to a bird than flying)
That is not true, first getting wings clipped can help from your bird flying away and getting lost. Also have you ever heard of penguins, ostrich’s, and so many other birds that CAN NOT FLY.

I love how much you obviously care about your animals. I hate that "pet youtubers" became a thing, in some cases it looks more like "online zoos", people showing off all the creatures they have for views. I appreciate that you advise people to not get many animals, and also that your videos are educational.
Random question that you might have previously answered: are Dobby and Niffler breed-able or are they spayed/neutered? Just asking since they occupy the same space.
It's more than likely they are spayed and neutered At least, Dobby. Females have an issue where they are almost constantly ready to breed. Because of that, the female risks severe, and even life threatening anemia if not bred
Just to be clear, in nature inbreeding doesn't happen because siblings are forced to migrate to diffrent areas and they will prefer to breed with non relatives unless the population is dying out, but in captivity if they are forced to live together it could happen. They are probably both neutered, that would be the best thing for the animals anyways.

I have a “wardy” ferret. She’s under 2 pounds, can’t hear, but is adorable, and healthy other than that.
Her brother is 4 pound in the winter. HUGE. Looks like a aurora ferret bc his fur is so long in the winter.

I don't know why people are afraid of snakes. There all so freakin gorgeous. There so cute. They don't bite unless you provoke them. Even then you'll need to do a lot of provoking(cough, losers cough)

Ever since I've been 9 ive always wanted ti be a zoo keeper and started my pet collection. I am now 14 and have over 20 different reptile species and 8 more other pets. It can be a pain cuz i need to wake up at 3:30 AM and my bus comes at 6:30 AM. Im not struggling and its a LOT of fun.

When it gets too warm for my ferrets, usually I'd get a used water bottle, freeze it and then put it in with them so they don't get too warm. I've never actually thought of your approach but it seems good.

Kookabara!! Kingfishers are my most favourite birds! I remember when I was small, I used to sit with my mother in the garden and see them sit on an old antenna in top of my house. I used to collect their fallen feathers from the garden along with parrot feathers

I don’t see the point of getting a birds wings clipped because when you think bird you think of flight so if their wings are clipped they can’t fly which takes the point out being a bird
It prevents them from flying away from your house and some other things.
100% agree with you about how it’s ridiculous but for some people with high ceilings/fans that stay on all the time, or other factors it’s just the best option to keep them safe, (but obviously there’s more to a bird than flying)
That is not true, first getting wings clipped can help from your bird flying away and getting lost. Also have you ever heard of penguins, ostrich’s, and so many other birds that CAN NOT FLY.

I love how much you obviously care about your animals. I hate that "pet youtubers" became a thing, in some cases it looks more like "online zoos", people showing off all the creatures they have for views. I appreciate that you advise people to not get many animals, and also that your videos are educational.

At least, Dobby. Females have an issue where they are almost constantly ready to breed. Because of that, the female risks severe, and even life threatening anemia if not bred

They're not really brother and sister. She just calls them that. Even if they were, ferrets don't care.
Lpspaw print Animals don’t care about whether they’re related or not. They will willingly breed with siblings, parents, and cousins.
Just to be clear, in nature inbreeding doesn't happen because siblings are forced to migrate to diffrent areas and they will prefer to breed with non relatives unless the population is dying out, but in captivity if they are forced to live together it could happen. They are probably both neutered, that would be the best thing for the animals anyways.
