hehe, can't wait for Saturday's vid! Yep, it bugs me so much when comment sections are bombed with a video they want the creator to do when people write mean comments just because the RUclipsr was sharing their opinion.
Yeah I get it. Getting videos out there every week can be a struggle. I normally can only post once every 2weeks. So an extra video from you means that you try your best to post and you do really care so people shouldn’t be saying rude things.
I don’t own a hamster. I literally never have owned a hamster. I haven’t even been to a family member whose house has a hamster. Yet I have still binge watched your videos for the past 8 months. I am now sure that if I ever do get a hamster, it will have the best life ever. Thank you!
The things about parents not letting their children have bigger hamster enclosures make me so sad. I’m planning on fostering a hamster soon and I told my mom that if I can’t make a 1000 sq inch cage for him/her then she might as well just not let me own a hamster since I’m not willing to put one in a smaller tank 🤷♀️
@@adleighrydman9090 it is a lot! My hamster fostering dreams are on hold for a bit haha but I’m planning on making a cage to suit the dimensions of my room. And if I’m making it I don’t really see the use in not making it huge! Especially since I don’t know the type/gender of my hamster to be fostered, so if I get some sort of “diva” (haha) female Syrian I wanna be prepared y’know? I hope your hammy loves their new spacious home

Well that actually kinda happened to college students in their tiny dorm rooms and in debt on top of that so they can just afford cup noodles. Or people in very very very tiny bathroom sized hong kong apartments because housing there are expensive. Definitely not ideal tho. At least humans can still walk out of it

My mom thought that hamsters were just small simple animals.I did so much research and most of it was from you and I gave my mom and dad almost a 20 minute speach about hamsters.I now have a winter white hamster named Bean and she is living a happy healthy life.Thank you so much.

EXACTLY she is the reason I have a cage with over 1,000 square inches of floor space. And she is the reason why I have a happy hamster. Btw my keyboard is broken so ye
My mom thinks that my hamster doesn’t need 6 inches of bedding so I try and put in as much as I possibly can without her knowing and I put 7 inches in the very back of her cage without her knowing and now she’s burrowing and I think that it’s actually pretty happy that she’s finally borrowing for the first time. (Sorry bad spelling)
Honestly I am so grateful for all the knowledge you’ve given me. I just got my first hamster at age 26 and went from thinking they were an easy pet that would take up a tiny amount of space, to learning that they require A LOT of care. I’m just so appreciative that because of you I got to start my hamster mum journey correctly and now have a happy hamster living his best life 😊❤️
When that person said "I'm ten and I love my hamster" IT TRIGGERED ME because when I was ten my hamster was in a large cage, lots of bedding, and all around proper care. AGE IS NOT AN EXCUSE
my cage wasn’t the best when I was younger but with my last 2 hamsters I’ve had a cage above the minimum and have upgraded for my newest hamster to an ikea detolf! I get you can make mistakes, but that’s not a reason to refuse to listen to advice!
I had two hamsters when I was younger and they were both in a tiny cage with barely any bedding(it was dangerous too). If someone had told me that wasn’t suitable I would’ve done everything I could to change it but i didn’t know. I still feel really bad for them.

As a parent and a hamster owner, I was so happy when you added the rest of the comment that the mom changed her mind! You are exactly right that parents should be happy that their child cares about another living being and wants to care for the animal properly, and the parent should reward and encourage that behavior. And, I'm sorry for the nasty comments you get sometimes. Hopefully you get a lot more positive comments than negative!
I work at a big chain pet store and a lot of people complain when I try to explain proper care for any of the animals that we carry you wouldn’t believe some of the things we hear! Just yesterday someone said “well we’ve always had hamsters in that size cage and they were fine.” Why even come up to me with questions if you aren’t going to take the advice thank you for teaching me how to properly care for my robo ham! I adopted with a bad eye and now he’s all better and living his best life!

She's doing a perfect job. Pet shops aren't 100% accurate and most of the of the toys and cages are too small and not safe. You can look all this information on the internet, the legal minimum is 80cm by 50cm and you need to take care of hamsters deemed by the RSPCA, Woodgreen animal sanctuary and PACT. look it up before you insult someone.
Lol These people saying not everyone can afford big cages and they make the small cages for poor people. Crittertrails and the like are soo expensive. You could literally buy three appropriately sized bin cages for the cost of one 🤦🏼♀️
honestly! and they're super fragile! I bought a $30 critter trail to use as a travel cage, broke it the third time I attempted to clean it 🙃 I've made four bin cages for less than $30 a piece lmao
i think it's difficult as animals on youtube definitely generates a younger audience that are easily impressionable, and sometimes immature, however there are definitely younger people out there that are much more educated and informed on good hamster care than i was at their age! being cruel about one's appearance at any age however is wrong, and parents or carers should be overlooking what their children are posting on social media, and teaching them better manners and about respect, and if you're into your teenage or adult years then there's no excuse to pick out others insecurities, keep striving Victoria! ❤️

It was Victoria who made me realise actually is this life good for my hamster? He’s now got a proper wheel, a bin cage, plenty of bedding to BURROW in! We are still making progress with extras so it’s semi crowded but i feel like a better owner! ♥️ thank you ♥️

When I was getting a hamster I went to a pet shop and thought the small cages were good for the hamster. But we looked at other places and saw they were so much bigger. I then watched your channel and it’s helped me get a good cage! Thanks for helping :)
I'm now grateful that my parents let me get the proper enclosure for my hamster. They did comment that why does a hamster need so much things, but they still let me buy all the things (sand bath, big/safe hamster wheel, hideouts) that a hamster needs in order to be happy.

Her channel has helped me so much. Luckily I found her videos just couple days after I first got my hamster. She lived happily in her 730sq inches bin cage. I've been translating her videos into Vietnamese which is my country ( of course I had her permission 😆 ). I'm now working hard to educate hamster owners in my country. I got my hamster from a scetchy seller in a car park, my hamster was really stressed and angry at first and wouldn’t settle into the large cage I made her, she wasn’t treated very well by the people who had bred her but now she has lots of toys and food and is enjoying life in a 870sq inch cage! All because of your videos ❤️

I had two hamsters when I was younger and they were both in a tiny cage with barely any bedding(it was dangerous too). If someone had told me that wasn’t suitable I would’ve done everything I could to change it but i didn’t know. I still feel really bad for them.

As a parent and a hamster owner, I was so happy when you added the rest of the comment that the mom changed her mind! You are exactly right that parents should be happy that their child cares about another living being and wants to care for the animal properly, and the parent should reward and encourage that behavior. I work at a big chain pet store and a lot of people complain when I try to explain proper care for any of the animals that we carry you wouldn’t believe some of the things we hear! Just yesterday someone said “well we’ve always had hamsters in that size cage and they were fine.” Why even come up to me with questions if you aren’t going to take the advice thank you for teaching me how to properly care for my robo ham! I adopted with a bad eye and now he’s all better and living his best life!

You can look all this information on the internet, the legal minimum is 80cm by 50cm and you need to take care of hamsters deemed by the RSPCA, Woodgreen animal sanctuary and PACT.

i think it's difficult as animals on youtube definitely generates a younger audience that are easily impressionable, and sometimes immature, however there are definitely younger people out there that are much more educated and informed on good hamster care than i was at their age! being cruel about one's appearance at any age however is wrong, and parents or carers should be overlooking what their children are posting on social media, and teaching them better manners and about respect, and if you're into your teenage or adult years then there's no excuse to pick out others insecurities, keep striving Victoria! ❤️

It was Victoria who made me realise actually is this life good for my hamster? He’s now got a proper wheel, a bin cage, plenty of bedding to BURROW in! We are still making progress with extras so it’s semi crowded but i feel like a better owner! ♥️ thank you ♥️

When I was getting a hamster I went to a pet shop and thought the small cages were good for the hamster. But we looked at other places and saw they were so much bigger. I then watched your channel and it’s helped me get a good cage! Thanks for helping :)

The fact that a parent would punish their child for trying to care for an animal makes me so sad.
I'm now grateful that my parents let me get the proper enclosure for my hamster. They did comment that why does a hamster need so much things, but they still let me buy all the things (sand bath, big/safe hamster wheel, hideouts) that a hamster needs in order to be happy.

Her channel has helped me so much. Luckily I found her videos just couple days after I first got my hamster. She lived happily in her 730sq inches bin cage. I got my hamster from a scetchy seller in a car park, my hamster was really stressed and angry at first and wouldn’t settle into the large cage I made her, she wasn’t treated very well by the people who had bred her but now she has lots of toys and food and is enjoying life in a 870sq inch cage! All because of your videos ❤️
Fun fact: i used to watch your videos when i had a bunny bc found it very interesting and calming but when my bunny passed away i got rlly sad and i needed another pet to take care of and i through a hamster would be perfect since i already known the good care for a hammy so i got one and im rlly happy abt my decision his name is Daisy (i through she was a girl at first lol) and he lives happily in a big cage with proper cage just bc of you and i wanna thank you with all my heart for teaching people how should they respect animals and take good care of them ^^
