An ex-state airline that was poorly run but now owned by the Tata group and probably still in a very slow transition that also involves refitting a lot of legacy aircraft. I think they have also hired new younger staff to improve service delivery. Their new A350 service is generating positive noise though. India thrives on officialdom and civil service bureaucracy, totally inefficient and the stamp is all important as you discovered...ha!!! You were brave for giving them a go.
Would be great to try out their new gen A350 but seems like they’ve got such a long way to go in getting the older look interiors out of the fleet…perhaps one to watch for the future. Don’t think I’d go an entire booking with them…glad it was just a segment I think!
wow, cool airline to film. very old interior, airbus neo, makes me think they used old seats in a new plane? the croissant looked really stale. the curry on the menu sounded so good but like you, that would be far too much for me as a breakfast! i would be probably having the omlette, cos no dairy free yogurt with that museli sadly. no TV really is shocking on a long flight. service sounded friendly and positive tho!
Yeah, odd one with the newer looking A320, it’s bizarre the interior was so old looking in comparison. Just shows what using an old product can do I guess…
When speccing the plane it looks like they took the cheapest cabin option. And they don't maintain their planes properly either. The infrastructure on the ground is also lacking.
Looking at their latest offerings, they have a bright future ahead, I’d love to return with them into the future when the latest seats are rolled out across the fleet. Exciting one for the future perhaps…

Thanks for sharing. Always thoroughly enjoy your reviews. 💯👍😀
You’re very welcome and thanks so much. Loads more to follow!
Wow! So Surprised that the business class meal is so simple for such a medium-haul flight.
Yeah indeed!

Thanks so much! I’ll check the volume :)

The last thing you want to do in India is eat a Curry from buffet before a long flight.😂😂
Hahaha, could have consequences if too spicy 😅
my thoughts exactly!!!
My grandad 👴 and grandma 👵 fly this airline
Good 😊 video
Thank you!
Depends on price point ...
Yes indeed, as ever so important. On this trip it was part of a big code share ticket which was excellent value
As you’re travelling by air, shouldn’t it be “over” to Bangkok rather than “through?” 🤔
Thorough the airwaves maybe 😅

The design leaves a lot to be desired 😅
Looks more as premium economie.
Yeah that’s probably fair :)
Looked pretty basic certainly wouldn't be something i would choose but you've tried it.
Took one for the team perhaps with this one!
Air India lives up to it's name.
That inflight magazine Namaste magazine with the caption
Sky full of stars, should've been
Sky full of S . .T
Harsh but perhaps not totally unfair given certain aspects of the hard product offering…
That should no way ever be classed as business class. No wifi is confusing.
I guess business class comes in many forms. Wouldn’t advise it though unless very cheap in its current form at least…
But I have not
