I just checked out "gunbird 2" for the Nintendo switch from your recommendations on the switch videos. Thank you. I would love another video recommending more Nintendo switch goodies to check out!?✌
The Switch is has a treasure-trove of retro ports, including a lot of shmups! There are several other Psikyo games like Gunbird 2 published by Zerodiv (including about 8-10 shmups), and Hamster's two series of re-releases, "Arcade Archives" and "ACA Neo Geo" have some great stuff as well. They are not cleaned up like M2 releases, but for the most part very playable. If we're lucky, M2 ports of many Toaplan and Data East arcade shmups are on the way over the next few years.

I've been locked up in the past (only like 80 or so days, but I lost my job, ended up going through a divorce, bankruptcy, etc.), and made plenty of mistakes, but over the years, I've been working on things, and your honesty really hit home. Sorry for the rambling, God bless you and your family my brother!
If you take requests, could you please cover a series of multi-platform games (specifically 3rd party PlayStation and Nintendo 64 titles) that also came out on the Dreamcast?
I wonder if Truxton II will ever appear sometime? Also, will Sega work with Taito to make two player alternating and simultaneous ports of Darius and Darius II for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and allow another company to do the ports of those games to the SNES/NSFC? Finally, will the game of Zero Wing be unaltered, or will it have correctly translated English dialogue this time around?
LIke the other response said, M2 says they are getting ready to release "almost all" Toaplan arcade games to modern consoles in the next few years, and Truxton II is one of the first four that they will do. I don't think your Darius dream will happen though. Those games just went through all of those expensive compilations in multiple "Cozmic Collections" so I don't think Taito or Sega is about to do more with Darius and Darius II any time soon.
My dad died when I was 7 years old. Truxton is one of the very few memories I have with my dad sitting and watching him play.

Begging the Toaplan shooters collection vol2 should include twin cobra, V-V, slap fight and musha..... oh yeah!
They probably gonna charge a arm and a leg and make like 40 copies of Musha
Great video, SLX! 😁 I have the original Sega Mega Drive version of #ZeroWing, from Day 1 of my collection: Thursday, December the 28th, 2000, when I was 14 years old...! "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US"...! ⚡🎮👽👾🚀👊😎🤣🌈💖
@@sonicmania9993 I feel you. I've gotten a lot of the Neo Geo ports on the switch. Games that I lusted over as a child that wer $200 now I can get arcade perfect for 8$. It's an awesome time!
This what im talking about,
Companies have the acess to ram on the cheap. Sega genesis games that couldn’t have been made back then can be made even to this day and we would still buy them..
To be honest I’d be more hyped to get this on modern consoles, have access to all these games on the Genesis via flash carts, so won’t be picking this up, Fireshark is one of my favourite SHMUPS of all time though.
This is really more of a Collector thing... I got flash carts too, but I do enjoy getting physical copies for fun. Because I have some control, I tend to avoid the pricey ones, so this collection is nice!
@dtester Yeah I mean I understand I’ve got a huge ps1 collection but I long ago gave up collecting anything 16 and 8 bit because of prices, so this particular collection ain’t for me 😀
It would be awesome if they got Mark Bussler back from Classic Games Room to promote these games.
Now i can sleep... Segaaaa
Retro-bit should publish games on the Evercade !
That's pretty cool, I had kind of given up on owning Truxton heh. Good pricing, think even I could squeeze this into my budget.
Imagine having these amazing games in a Dreamcast version. 😇😇😋😋
Hellfire has some of the best music on the Genesis.
hell yeah!
@@dtester I agree. Stage 5's and 3's themes from the game are my personal favorites! :D
Oh and almost forgot....
Sol Feace!🙌...
I always thought the "a" in Toaplan was silent for some reason. I've been pronouncing it "Toe Plan" forever haha.
I've heard both. I tend to call everything what I did when I was younger for the channel, though. Just for the hell of it.
I would be in heaven if remastered versions or even new sequels of these games would be produced.
Is that possible. Who owns the Toaplan franchise nowadays?
In on the complete pack. Retrobit does good and fair priced releases. The fact these are officially licensed makes it count. BTW, these will work on the Mega Sg right?
Good stuff, love it!
Why the Zero Wing cart Purple that one would of made more sense to be Yellow but I have all these in Pal cart form Except Fire shark was some of my fave shooters on Megadrrve.
If retro-bit can make these cartridge games and press CD games, then the polymega Will Survive.
Darnit! Once I found out that this was pre-order only, I panicked and ordered the boxed set... I'm broke, but would have been bummed if I missed out, but did donate to the Go Fund Me for SLX's sister, plus I'll continue binging more of his content!
Much appreciated my friend. Thank you for the support.
@@SegaLordX No problem man, thanks for all the great videos. Unfortunately, cancer has has negatively impacted loved ones of mine as well, and I've been going through a lot of rough stuff over the past few years (well, decades it seems). It was also inspiring hearing you admit to making mistakes in the past, and showing how you've turned your life around.
These are tempting and I don’t even own a machine that plays Genesis games.
I already own Fire Shark and Turxton. I have CIB version of Fire Shark.
Got you bro will watch a bunch Love ya Channel
If you take requests, could you please cover a series of multi-platform games (specifically 3rd party PlayStation and Nintendo 64 titles) that also came out on the Dreamcast?
Good Job on this Video! I gotta check out this game when I have the chance! :)
"Ebay can go to hell"
made me laugh
I wonder if Truxton II will ever appear sometime? Also, will Sega work with Taito to make two player alternating and simultaneous ports of Darius and Darius II for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and allow another company to do the ports of those games to the SNES/NSFC? Finally, will the game of Zero Wing be unaltered, or will it have correctly translated English dialogue this time around?
M2 is rereleasing it PS4 and Switch soon
LIke the other response said, M2 says they are getting ready to release "almost all" Toaplan arcade games to modern consoles in the next few years, and Truxton II is one of the first four that they will do.
I don't think your Darius dream will happen though. Those games just went through all of those expensive compilations in multiple "Cozmic Collections" so I don't think Taito or Sega is about to do more with Darius and Darius II any time soon.
Sega missed a huge opportunity not getting Zero Wing for the Genesis mini
Very cool games!
