This is the single most impressive painting tutorial I have seen on RUclips. And I am including Miniac and the Lord Duncan in all of that. Thank you very much for this, you deserve a lot of viewers in my opinion.
@@Warhipster I shared it with my discord group too. Keep the videos coming man, this stuff is great. you are actually changing my mind about Contrast paints
I can't believe there is actually a tutorial to paint an easy Horus with only contrast paints and make it look amazing, this is strange warp magic I tell you!
I've been meaning to paint mine up for years but just never got around to it because I broke his mace the day I tried to prime him. Didn't secure him enough to what was holding him up and he just went crash. And the weapon fell between the cracks on the porch, never to be seen again. I got a replacement part but the whole thing was so daunting and I was so embarrassed, I shelves him instead. Maybe it's time to get him back out.
loving the video! was just wondering what he's primed with? thanks. Just got him and dying to get started 😁 edit: Just noticed Grey Seer. wish me luck 😁🤘
Praetorian I Certainly could! I have lots of plans for this year for Tutorials just trying to figure out a schedule for my own head. Imperial Fists are up there!
@@Warhipster Fantastic! I also want all 18 for my collection but don’t have the confidence to do them without a tutorial. Also any chance you could let us know if certain washes can be substituted for contrast paints you used? To save some $?
It's what I've always done so I don't find it particularly difficult. If I know something is going to make it really difficult to get to an area then I'll leave it off, but it's rare I do so.
@Norskolld is right and you've got to start somewhere, so why not do it with a model you're looking forward to? If you still aren't too sure, maybe try doing a couple of Marines first to work out your colours and get your eye in, as it were.

Thank you so much 😀 He was surprisingly simple once I sat and stared at him for a few hours.
@@Warhipster I kinda noticed that watching the video, he’s is simple, the wolf pelt covers a lot of surface area anyways too
Really digging how you do your capes. Definitely going to help a beginner like me with getting better blends and a solid look. Thanks!
Glad you like them!

Sounds like it's the perfect time to get him back out!

Good result.
Thanks! This was one of the first larger models I painted with Contrast and I'm still amazed how well it turned out!
How comes you left horus's actual eyes on his face man? Not having a pop man as those are some great skills....just generally curious haha? 👍
What changes to this process would you make for a white armored Horus? Like his Luna wolves days.
just found your channel. Crazy good with contrast!
Awesome, thank you!
same
Could u make a video about painting Imperial Fist in contrast ? That would help much, thx 😊

The Warhipster Thank you so much ! Can’t wait to see it !
Your content is amazing ! Inspiring to paint. Apreciate the calm focused tone.
That's some great feedback, thanks for sharing it. I'm glad to hear people are liking how I talk, as I've great difficulty talking any other way! :D
Please do more primarchs
I've got Sanguinius in hand I need to procure the others as I want to do all 18. It'll happen!

Top🔥🔥
I never understood why people paint these large models pre-built, it just seems like you're making it harder for yourself than it needs to be.

Ive got a levithan im scared to paint cause i wanna do salamabdwrs but if i mess up its an 80 dollar models
Just remember, paint can always be stripped :)

I had a conversation about doing this model yesterday.... Can you see the future?
Watching this was damn near meditative, and I don’t even paint figures
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!
