How do I know if I need a new power box, or just a circuit board or a whole new "brain"?

Hello Christina, it really just depends on your brand. We've serviced thousands of infrared saunas so our technicians have a large database of common failures to help you. We also offer full rebuilds, where we eliminate the frustration of you trying to figure that out. Just send the power box in, we rebuild everything, you get it back with commercial grade components and a 10 year warranty. We are always here to help, give us a call. 1-877-988-2111

+Fix My Sauna thanks! sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/for/5657890545.html this is the one I have that's not working and has pretty bad water damage. Do you think it's worth salvaging?

Without testing some of those components this is a tough one. One thing for sure is you will have to be handy with woodworking. As far as the electronics, it's safe to assume you will need a new control box, panel and possible heaters with all that water damage. To answer your question it depends on how much time, energy and money you want to put into this. You could spend $400-$1000 in parts depending on the damage. After checking craigslist in San Diego I think there's better options for you:) The last thing you want is to go through all the trouble and expense of fixing that one when you could spend about the same for a different used one that works.
