Situated on the Gilão River, the town invites visitors to experience a warren of cobblestone streets, traditional white-washed houses, and dozens of churches, many with exquisite azulejos, the classic ornamental blue and white tiles so prominent in Portugal. To the south of the city are the protected waterways, mudflats, bird sanctuaries, and salt pans of the Natural Park of Ria Formosa.

Very nice and like your style. Hope to visit someday
Thank you, lovely spot, seems quiet, nice
How gorgeous ide love to live there.
Went there on holiday. Couldn’t live there permanently but ok for a holiday home.
Very nice video. Can you say more about the arts in Tavira? Dance, music, museums, film, theater etc. Also, ways to get to Spain with public transport. I subscribe to International Living, too.
I was thinking of visiting for the day from Faro, but this looks like there is really nothing to do, a sleep town?
Hello !
Thank you for the video !
May I ask where the local produce market was exactly in Tavira ?
have a great day
Nice video but It’s definitely worth mentioning the island that’s just 10 minutes and 2 euro boat ride from Tavira.
What's the coast of living there.???
Hey Karyn. You can read all about Tavira here (including a sample monthly budget): bit.ly/3qGyauR
@@internationalliving Looks great & my preference for sure.. but not cheap according to your link. It seems destinations in Asia like Vietnam or Malaysia have much cheap options for tight budgets. Thanks for the link.
There’s no beach or seafront in Tavira. You have to take a boat to the nearest beach. It helps if you speak Portuguese. At our hotel the receptionist couldn’t speak English but she could speak French. We were able to communicate as we are fluent French speakers.
