Eh, take my advice. I am a Music Director at Hartwood in the UK Stick to what you are good at. If drums is your thing. Stick with it. Do not try to be a triple threat. It won't work. Not trying to be harsh but your vocals are off and drums are your thing, not this mash-up. Stick with the drums. Sorry
this is very closed minded. vocals are off i know. im not a perfect singer. artist that are out right now theres a lot that cant sing but have still got to where they want.
Another piece of advice, learn to take criticism with grace. Responding to me as you did will reflect poorly in your future. I am not trying to offend you, trying to tell you only that you should stick with what you are good at. Drums. That is what you do.

@@johnatwell1568 I’m curious, you’re a musical director, but do you think it’s wise telling a 17 year old to basically “play it safe, don’t step outside of the box”? He didn’t respond to you in an inappropriate way at all. He’s just defending his video, you are the one who came on his page putting your two cents in. And that’s fine it’s a free country, but I see nothing wrong with him speaking up for himself. Why shouldn’t he pursue his dreams? How many 17 year olds do u know that can play every instrument and be courageous enough to put it all out there? You should rethink how you speak to young ppl especially if you’re a musical director. Criticism is great, everyone needs to hear it so they can reflect, learn, and better themselves, but telling someone to quit or stick to one thing is so ridiculous. And btw, it’s just a “fun” video. It’s not an audition. And yes, I’m his mom.
wow....you're a music director? you work with kids? shocking that you would not be encouraging to a young man with apparent talent and one who is putting himself out there and taking initiative ....i'm honestly shocked that a music director would say such a thing.........you have incredibly narrow thinking and btw, he took your graceless comment with a lot of grace.....it's truly baffling that you would try to limit anyone's creativity.....you must be a wonderful director :)
