Canadian here, applications through just waiting for that call to go to boot camp, chose combat engineer as my job, its funny how much these videos you make translate to me and our military, very similar, so Ill say in advance, its an honor to get such awesome advice from our brothers to the south, see you all out there someday, Cheers!
Can you make a video about Marine Corps ranks because I'd like to know how you rank up, and if there's a faster way. Like if you took extra courses or classes would that help you get promoted, or do you just have to be in the Marines for a certain amount of time?
I'm 15 years old and I been ever been thinking to get in the army every since I was 12. And now soon I can actually make that dream come true and this video helped a lot
I have been a member of USAA for over 10 years. Its good to have a local bank too. Your information is really good. You are helping out a lot of potential service members.
Great advice Clayton! This Gunny (Ret.) approves of this message :) I honestly wish my NCO would have told me this when I was a young Pvt/PFC. Kudos warrior! NCO Leadership at it's finest. P.S. It's "Privates First Class", not "Private First Classes" :)
we had E-4s too in our boot camp, but they were graduated college students. I agree navy federal is prob the best you could choose out from all the banks, maybe better than even USAA
What branch was this and why didn't they go to OCS? I've heard of people doing that, but low and behold, the Marines will only make you an E3 instead of an E4 XD
I have been with a lot of banks and Navy Federal has proven to me that they do care about my money. They have a no bullshit policy where they tell you what is up and what can be done. Also during Afghan, Obama was going to cut our paycheck for the month and Navy Federal said they would cover our paycheck so we have money.
Alot of my friends slated me over here in the UK for wanting to join the Army but the thing I told them to think about was the money. The hours they work compared to what I will work is roughly similar but I will come out with just over double the wages they take home each month. Yes the Army/Navy/RAF is harder than most civi jobs but the pay for a 17/18/19 YO is pretty damn good :)
In our military if you do 25 years of service you'll get $70k CAD pension money per year before taxes AND you can still do a part time or full time job which adds itself to your retirement pay so you could easily make $140k per year before taxes.
7% is way too low. People always say you should only save 10% of your income to retire comfortably but that's honestly horseshit. I've been saving as much as possible ever since I got my six figure job and own a GTR at 25 years old, which I paid for in cash. So yeah, don't only do 7% TSP. Jew the fuck out of your money and you won't regret it.
Sean Green I saved around $80k every year so roughly $320k in 4 years. I could've bought a used GTR from the first year, but I waited and left some money on the side. Another awesome and fun way to save money is if you can afford a supercar, then buy a new one every year and sell a previous one every year. Even though the economy is bad where I live, I'll lose only about $1k-$10k when selling a supercar. I put around 5000kms on it, so it makes for plenty of fun short drives around the city. By attempting to flip the car every year, I technically owned a supercar for a year for only $1k-$10k, plus some maintenance costs and insurance, so with those costs included it's about an $4k-$18k loss at maximum. So when you think about it I've owned a supercar for a year for only between $4k-$18k. Let's say I only use those $320k I saved up just to buy supercars, at the worst case scenario (if I lose $18k per year), I'll still have owned a different, nearly brand new supercar every year for 17 years! That's something plenty of rich people do, and it's so simple it pains me to see that the middle class isn't using this technique more often with less costly cars.
On that car thing, it's probably best to keep the car your parents gave you. Just have it put away somewhere like a garage and get it back after boot camp and such when you can start driving again.
Hey bro, I love your vids. I find them very helpfull. I leave for boot camp on August, I want to start buying a house for the family, any advice on that? Thanks!
Went in 2006 and we didn't have a choice, Pacific Marine was chosen for us. My recruiter had told me about Navy Federal so I signed up when I got to MOS school, also we didn't get any TSP option in recruit training, wasn't til we got to our first unit that I first got the option.
kenneth vaillant After boot camp you will go home for either 10 or more days, depending if you Have recruiters assistance. After that depending on your MOS you will either go to MCT or SOI (Marine Combat training, School of Infantry. If you are an infantryman you will go to SOI and then you will go straight to the fleet. If you're a POG like me, you will go to MCT for about a month and then go straight to your MOS school. Your MOS is the job you will be doing for as many years as you enlist. Some MOS' you can go for acouple weeks, others you will be gone for almost 8 months. After you graduate your MOS school, you will go to the fleet. The fleet is kinda like a regular job, you go to work everyday (times vary) and then you get weekends off! Hope that Helps!
Great video!!! I love how you make advice videos about the marines!!! I'm thinking about joining the Marines Corp's after I graduate and I think your videos are really helpful for the people who are thinking about joining!!! 😃
ClaytonFilpo Thank you So much for this video!!!? 😁You are a great youtuber and very informative!! Planning Going to USMC Boot Camp May 2019! Have you met any Marines with a GED instead of diploma? I dropped out during senior year and highly regretting and not getting my diploma and enlisting then!
I leave for boot in 11 days. Do you think 20% is too much for TSP? as of right now i can't think of many reasons to spend money if i have no rent or utilities to pay and food at the chow hall is free.
Ty Keesen 15% to the TSP is what I did when I was stationed in Japan. Also another tip, don't leave your TSP funds in the default G fund because it's too conservative. I went with the L fund because it's mostly stocks and rebalances over time and gets more conservative as you get closer to retirement. Good luck bro
What expenses do you have in the military? Basically if everything is covered why not put a higher percentage of your check into your retirement? Just out of curiosity
So a single marines expenses are Phone Auto insurance Thats it? (My truck is paid) Is it worth switching to navy federal if you already have USAA for checking/savings?
MrJamesconn don’t forget internet and gaming expenses. A lot of soldiers opt in for Spectrum WiFi here in the barracks also they pay for like PlayStation and Xbox live. You gota account for everything you pay for if you wanna budget correctly and save.
Great video! You have the best channel on here for info. Btw, how is the transportation like after you get to your fleet? I was thinking that I'd rather wait a year after boot before I buy a car and was wondering if it's possible to get around with out one?
Thanks, I try my best to help you guys out. And It absolutely is.possible to get around without a car. I have a lance cpl that does not have a car and probably won't get one all four years he's in.
I literally made a video last night about how to leave the Marine Corps. Not necessarily how to retire, but how to actually get ready for civi life. Funny you post this. it'll be uploaded this evening.
I'm a senior in high school right now and want to join the Border Patrol after I get out of the Marines, but you either need a college degree or 4 years of military service. Any MOS recommendations? I heard infantry is the way to go for any law enforcement job.
Git Rekt From what my cousin, who was an 0331 (Machine Gunner), told me you are basically given a job as soon as you ask for it from Law Enforcement departments. I think that the standard infantry contract for the Marine Corps is 4 years so there is your 4 years of military service. As for an MOS you have to choose something that you will enjoy doing and that you will be good at. Personally I am going to be a 2336 (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) because I have always loved a good challenge and EOD is one of the hardest courses the Marine Corps has to offer. Plus I love shit that goes boom and I'm a little fucked up in the head.
Git Rekt I have a buddy who is going to be working for Border Patrol soon. Really it doesn't matter what MOS you're in, so long as you have 4 years of military service. Same goes for police/state troopers
***** I've heard opinions from other marines that say that MP is the worst thing to get if you want to be law enforcement later in your life. They say that it's because MP's and civilian police officers have different laws to enforce and therefore picking up laws and other tactics from MP's is something you don't want. I don't know though..
can you please make a video about tattoo's? I've been looking online and a lot of people are saying the rules are strict. I have one pretty big tattoo on my arm and really wanting to get more, but i haven't in fear if i did i wouldn't get accepted. If you could make a video about tattoo rules and what's needed for acceptance that would be awesome!!
you talk about buying a car during your military carrer, but what about if you already have a car and want to take it with you? is there a procedure for bringing a car on base?
Hey man great videos! I was just wondering what kind of programs the Marines offer in terms of special operations.I don't want to get ahead of myself and I know it's extremely hard to get into these programs but I still wanted to learn a little.I was wondering if a recruiter would explain that to me or would I have to join and progress into the Marines to learn more? Thank you.
When you say retirement what does that mean? I'll be shipping out next July but I don't plan on making the marines a career, so when you say retirement does that mean after I am discharged I can see the money or do I have to stay in the whole 20+ years to see the money? Kinda unsure on what I should do.
Army E1 BOOTCAMP IS NOW AS OF MAY 2020 IS 800 MTH DUE TO EAGLE CARD, BOOTS UNIFORM ETC.. MY SONS IN 3RD MTH AND HIS GOT TO NORMAL 582.75 & 583.25 TO THE EXACT A MTH FOR ENLISTMENT IN ARMY ANYWAYS lol ARMY & NATIONAL GUARD AT STATE EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION AS MARINES/NAVY NAVY FEDERAL.
Hey Clayton I was just wondering do you think it's a good idea for me to go infantry even though it won't help with what job I want in the civilian world? Let me explain I'm interested in a job in the medical field but I want to go infantry because I want to serve my country that has given my family so much opportunity since we came from Cuba and is something I've wanted to do since I was a little kid
im torn between joining the marines and the navy, i wanna join the navy to travel but itd be rad to be a marine and have the title, which one is more worth it?
ClaytonFilpo Thanks so much! I'm going into Navy boot camp in a few days as an E3 and we work closely with you Marines, so this has been helpful information. Thanks again!
Is Navy Federal still a choice? I leave for Boot Camp in 20 days and would like to pick that one but heard Marines get offered some other thing besides Pacific Marine.
ClaytonFilpoI always hear about USAA. Is that mostly for prior-service members or is it applicable to those currently serving too? Benefits or drawbacks compared to Navy Fed?
There are a lot of people that use usaa on active duty. I do for my insurance, but honestly, I am tempted to switch because their rates really aren't that great. I prefer navyfed for banking
How much do Marines make while being deployed? Reason why ask is because I plan on join the marine corps and I want to be a grunt. Haha I know I know there are so many other MOS I can choose from but I'm curious as to what the grunt life is all about. By the way, you make awesome videos and please continue to the good work.
Greg Vasquez Quite a lot, especially if their married. I can't ballpark exactly what you'd be making since it would also depend on your rank, but I've seen friends come back with an extra 20k easily
so how does buying stuff at the very beginning work, when they take you through to get your clothes and hair and to get toothpaste do they provide you with the money or do you need cash or is it free?
+Robert Miller If you own a house in the Marines (meaning you go to your duty station, are married, and buy a home) then you get the bah rate for that city. For example, I'm in DC, so I got a bah allotment of $2,000 a month. However, if you live in North Carolina, where the cost of living is lower, you get somewhere around maybe $1300.
Thank you for your reply! My wife and I currently own our house in northern Virginia and were just worried when I go to BCT, but that makes sense - depends on the area you are stationed at. I found it a little difficult to find info on people joining active duty military who are married that own a house.
My recommendation is this: keep your house until you get set up permanently at a duty station. THEN sell the home and bring your family over. I know distance sucks, but you don't want your family having to live with family members or put up in a hotel in the mean time.
I'm interested in going in as an officer how much does pay increase as you the time your in the corp increase, as well how in relation to enlists is this better or worse in salary.
Brandon Walker You will rate BAH as soon as you're in boot camp. However, your wife will not be able to move down to base with you until after MOS school. After that, you can live off base (best thing to do) or on base
So your money compounds in that TSP account even if you don't put more in it when you're out of the military, or do you have to keep putting money in? Is 40% feasible or unlivable? Thanks.
When you're in BCT, is everyone a private? How does it work? After BCT, do you get ranked up? Could you please explain, so I can have a better understanding please?
+Alexa Caminiti For the most part, everyone is either a private or private first class. The first 3 ranks don't really mean anything because you'll all catch up to each other within a year at Lance Cpl.
Hello, Clayton. Could you tell me: what if i'm just landed green card holder with no credit/health history in the US? Will recruiter help me with all this stuff? And does MEPS approve people with sinus arrhythmia? Civilian doctors said it's normal.
A recruiter will help you get shipped to boot camp as soon as possible. If the civilian doctor said you're good, then don't even bring that shit up at meps.
I know you said 2-5k after bootcamp, but how much do you earn after BCT and MOS school...I'm going for aviation electric tech so does that have any affect on your pay ..and this info is super useful..I know recruiters don't tell us this..I ship Sept 24th Paris island.
Well my dad was AAV crewman back in the Gulf War and I wanted to do AAV's as well but he said if he could go back and do it again he would've picked a more combat oriented role and he said doing LAV's would be a cool choice, so I'm just trying to get some research done about the job whether I should do it or not
My personal advice has always been to find a job that is applicable outside of the Corps. However, if you're hellbent on the AAV thing, I will tell you it's a thankless, dirty job. But, they work closely with grunts and are hard workers. Thanks for reaching out!
If u only spend your money on required things like, phone bill, car insurance, gas, personal hygiene, and save all the rest how much money would u have after 10 years of service? Anyone who knows plz estimate an amount
+ClaytonFilpo what have you seen about motor cycles? wouldn't that be a cheap way to have a ride and get around town? Do people steel em? Chop em? again cheaper than a car
no matter what branch your in this is a very important video. but clayton , i have a car already and if i join with that car whens the soonest i can come back to get it?
I was in the same situation. After MOS school. You can have your car with you whenever you get to your first permanent duty station. Thanks for watching/sharing dude!
The difference between the reserves and active is that when you're reserves, you only drill once a month. Meaning the other 99% of the time, you're a civilian. You make very little money from the military and at best the biggest pro to being reserves is you're able to call yourself a Marine, still.
You can keep that bank account for the time being. At boot camp, I highly recommend choosing navy federal credit union as your new banking institution, they'll help you set it up at the end of boot camp. I just closed my account with pnc after boot
Hey man. If you get stationed overseas, can your wife stay behind in the states and receive BAH? She wants to go to nursing school and make the best out of our enlistment time .
When you're a single, do you get any sort of allowance for housing/food? Or it's just all free cause you live on base... Also do you have to pay for food at the chow hall?
It depends. If you are not located at a place that is within walking distance of a chow hall (I am not) then you rate 'commrats.' You get 300 bucks a month for your own food. If you do live close enough to a chow hall, you eat there 'free.' (Your bah as a single marine pays for it)
Canadian here, applications through just waiting for that call to go to boot camp, chose combat engineer as my job, its funny how much these videos you make translate to me and our military, very similar, so Ill say in advance, its an honor to get such awesome advice from our brothers to the south, see you all out there someday, Cheers!
Wish me luck. I leave in the morning.
good luck bro
UnityPlays your the lucky one I want to go now but still jab to wait to get out of school
UnityPlays Welcome back

thank claton always giving us good info man. just got done watching again, first watched it 2 months ago but I like to refresh myself.
Nice man!
ClaytonFilpo what if you have someone depending on you. are your parents taken care of.
This is actually something I’ve been worried about since signing my contract, thank you so much for covering this, instant subscribe
Thanks Krerica!
This really put the financial aspect into perspective. I leave in a year and this really helped me understand. Thanks.
Can you make a video about Marine Corps ranks because I'd like to know how you rank up, and if there's a faster way.
Like if you took extra courses or classes would that help you get promoted, or do you just have to be in the Marines for a certain amount of time?
Jess esparza E1-E4 you mostly rank up every 6 months but once you reach e5 you get reviewed.
I'm 15 years old and I been ever been thinking to get in the army every since I was 12. And now soon I can actually make that dream come true and this video helped a lot
Excellent video. It's awesome to see you legitimately helping fellow service members.
And the more I watch of it the more helpful it gets haha. Really good info
Thank YOU for watching!
I have been a member of USAA for over 10 years. Its good to have a local bank too. Your information is really good. You are helping out a lot of potential service members.
USAA is solid, and thanks man
Can you make a video on how to pick the best mos for yourself plz
I already have navy fed and I love them, I've had them for 2 years bc my grandpa served. I'm shipping to PI next month
I lost you in the second sentence, could you explain?
Oh I hear you. Noted.
Good video. I'd just like the add that applying for FAFSA and TA for school can put some money in your pocket as well.
Explain
I am going to Parris Island July 6th of this year so all of your videos really help me out. this one was great!
we had E-4s too in our boot camp, but they were graduated college students.

thanks this video helps i just got out of MCRD San Diego soon i will be going to Armor school to become a tanker and yes i picked Navy Federal.
So I saw you in two of those Marine Corps commercials one with driving and hashtag with the sgt haha. Priceless.
Haha those were fun to make!
Thank you for all of the very detailed information in this video. I'm glad to know that someone truly has great advice! You're awesome! Thank you! 😀
+Jake Walker I'm just glad people are able to become more informed. Thanks for watching!
+ClaytonFilpo thank YOU for replying! You're a great person and I'm sure you affect more peoples' lives than you'll ever know!
I like this guy he’s very straightforward
Navy Federal saved my ass multiple times.
Really? How?
I have been with a lot of banks and Navy Federal has proven to me that they do care about my money. They have a no bullshit policy where they tell you what is up and what can be done. Also during Afghan, Obama was going to cut our paycheck for the month and Navy Federal said they would cover our paycheck so we have money.
Jorge D Martinez Mayol Holy shit, now I know which to choose if I do enlist!
Navy Federal is the best. If you are faithful to them they will be very faithful to you
@@jorgedmartinezmayol954 hey is it possible to send money to family ? If they living not in the US ?
Thank you so much for this Video I have had so many questions but you've cleared up a lot
Big Papi Glad to hear it! Please sub and share so others can get some help too!

thank you so much for this video. I will send it to my son who will graduate in two weeks from Marine Corp. Very informative.
Hey man, you explain things very good and clearly and make it easy to understand. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
great video, loved the advice. However, can you make a video about officer finances? or something similiar to that?
Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about being an officer. I'm enlisted, so the officer side is out of my pay grade
Thanks for the video bro! I was about to ask you about this topic.

Sean Green Hmm, I'm not in the military though, I was just giving some money saving tips.
I like this video gonna help me save a lot of money when i join the Navy
Glad to help bro
+ClaytonFilpo so in bootcamp how much can you save up??
+Raymond Lewis about $3,500 all said and done

Auto insurance

If you could make a video about tattoo rules and what's needed for acceptance that would be awesome!!
+PSYC HO Sup dude! I do have a video about tattoos already. It's one of my question and answer vids
Thanks for the response! I'll go check it out n give it a like
Can you make a video on what to bring to boot camp?
you talk about buying a car during your military carrer, but what about if you already have a car and want to take it with you? is there a procedure for bringing a car on base?
Hey man great videos! I was just wondering what kind of programs the Marines offer in terms of special operations.I don't want to get ahead of myself and I know it's extremely hard to get into these programs but I still wanted to learn a little.I was wondering if a recruiter would explain that to me or would I have to join and progress into the Marines to learn more? Thank you.
If you see a local recruiter in your home town, he'll hook you up with details
Ok thanks, and one more question if you can.Can I keep my primary weapon after I leave the military or do I have to give it back? Thanks again
Definitely giving it back. It's not like you're walking around with a weapon the whole time your in. (if you even get a weapon)
When you say retirement what does that mean? I'll be shipping out next July but I don't plan on making the marines a career, so when you say retirement does that mean after I am discharged I can see the money or do I have to stay in the whole 20+ years to see the money? Kinda unsure on what I should do.
all the income you get no matter what job military or not goes into the same retirement fund
Im going to boot in 2 weeks and once i graduate i want to open a credit card but i know nothing about will someone on base help me
Also do you think it's best to keep your own account open as well as navy Federal
I did that for about a year until I switched completely over to navy fed
Your videos are so helpful thanks a lot!
what if you want the money to go straight to your personal bacl like chase or wellsforgo is that possible
I'm just in the DEP rn and my recruiter gave me a packet for swapping over to Navy Fed.
My cousin went 1371 combat engineer and tells me that it's not such a good idea if I'm interested in the medical field infantry is a waist of time
what can you bring to mos school. I i have a gaming computer would I be able to bring that?
Yep
doesn't it depend on the school?
im torn between joining the marines and the navy, i wanna join the navy to travel but itd be rad to be a marine and have the title, which one is more worth it?
We were paid once a month in the military, but apparently that has changed.
How much on a recent year average does an E3/E4 makes after 6-9 months of deployment? I'm so curious!!
Just4Kixs about 18-19k
ClaytonFilpo Thanks so much! I'm going into Navy boot camp in a few days as an E3 and we work closely with you Marines, so this has been helpful information. Thanks again!
Is Navy Federal still a choice? I leave for Boot Camp in 20 days and would like to pick that one but heard Marines get offered some other thing besides Pacific Marine.
Navy fed and Pacific Marine are the two choices
ClaytonFilpo Thanks for clearing that up!
Wow. That's crazy. What about housing? Do you receive housing if you're married as well?
You only receive housing if you're married. You typically get an extra 1,500 - 2,000 bucks per month for housing
What does NJP stand for and what does it do?
kinda off topic but when you get you're leave time do you get paid throughout that time and how does it work taking leave
+Alex Gonzalez You get paid, yes.
so how does buying stuff at the very beginning work, when they take you through to get your clothes and hair and to get toothpaste do they provide you with the money or do you need cash or is it free?
If I have an enlistment bonus, when do I get it? After boot? After SOI?
what do you do if you have a vehicle loan out already before you go to boot?
Great Info, Thanks
question. is it possible to own a desktop computer in the barracks? (I already own one, I just want to know if I can bring it with me)
yup yup. Plenty of dudes have desktop computers
+ClaytonFilpo That's awesome! Another question, is there any Marine Corps LARP groups or other nerdy stuff like that?
fuck ya there is. No joke.
+ClaytonFilpo alright thanks for being a big help
How does it work if you own a house? Would I get BAH from the state where my house is? I will be going to basic in January.
Thank you!
I'm interested in going in as an officer how much does pay increase as you the time your in the corp increase, as well how in relation to enlists is this better or worse in salary.
captalex9471 Officers get paid much, much more money than enlisted
I'm not in the military, but I personally use Navy Federal (I'm dependent)
Not sure if this is a relevant question or not but I'm a Poolee and married. I'm wondering do I get BAH even if I live on base?
Brandon Walker You will rate BAH as soon as you're in boot camp. However, your wife will not be able to move down to base with you until after MOS school. After that, you can live off base (best thing to do) or on base
So your money compounds in that TSP account even if you don't put more in it when you're out of the military, or do you have to keep putting money in? Is 40% feasible or unlivable? Thanks.
Your money compounds, even when you're not in. Is 40% feasible. Depends on your lifestyle. I'd say no, but that's me.
Thanks dude, I appreciate the response.
andrew dreyer I did 15% when I lived in Japan because we got paid $700 extra a month.
Could you do a vid on Officer school or something if you haven't already?
When you're in BCT, is everyone a private? How does it work? After BCT, do you get ranked up? Could you please explain, so I can have a better understanding please?
+Alexa Caminiti For the most part, everyone is either a private or private first class. The first 3 ranks don't really mean anything because you'll all catch up to each other within a year at Lance Cpl.
Should I get lasic or should I suck it up and save money by wearing BCGS
Just do BCG's for the first two years. Once you turn 21, you can get lasic for free from the marines
Is it best to put savings in a money market PR mutual funds?
Hello, Clayton.
Could you tell me: what if i'm just landed green card holder with no credit/health history in the US? Will recruiter help me with all this stuff?
And does MEPS approve people with sinus arrhythmia? Civilian doctors said it's normal.
A recruiter will help you get shipped to boot camp as soon as possible.
If the civilian doctor said you're good, then don't even bring that shit up at meps.
Thank you for reply.
Yeah, but electrocardiography shows it everytime i do it, so....the MEPS' guys will see it anyway.
Bruh, they won't do electrocardioeaoufdoahfasogiuahsdfopugh on you
Wow, i'm so happy! Thank you very much, Clayton!
I know you said 2-5k after bootcamp, but how much do you earn after BCT and MOS school...I'm going for aviation electric tech so does that have any affect on your pay ..and this info is super useful..I know recruiters don't tell us this..I ship Sept 24th Paris island.
MOS has no effect on your pay. Just google "usmc pay scale" and you'll see how much you make per year at each rank.
What are your thoughts on the LAV Crewman MOS. I'm pretty interested in it
I know a couple. It's not easy, but some like it. What interests you about it?
Well my dad was AAV crewman back in the Gulf War and I wanted to do AAV's as well but he said if he could go back and do it again he would've picked a more combat oriented role and he said doing LAV's would be a cool choice, so I'm just trying to get some research done about the job whether I should do it or not
and thanks for responding, means a lot
My personal advice has always been to find a job that is applicable outside of the Corps. However, if you're hellbent on the AAV thing, I will tell you it's a thankless, dirty job. But, they work closely with grunts and are hard workers. Thanks for reaching out!
If u only spend your money on required things like, phone bill, car insurance, gas, personal hygiene, and save all the rest how much money would u have after 10 years of service? Anyone who knows plz estimate an amount
So what if I already have a bank account under my parents? Does it all transfer or is there a separate process to do all that?
Separate. When you leave boot camp, just close out your bank account with your parents and have them move the money to your new Navy Federal account
I have been thinking for awhile. When i graduate boot camp, i am going to only buy a good computer, and some tech that i want. Then i'll just save it.
4:00 that's called a wage garnish, btw.
You said that there is a financal planner on base. Are there any other buisness/ financal jobs in the military.
what about joining the reserve? and what are the differences?
The difference between the reserves and active is that when you're reserves, you only drill once a month. Meaning the other 99% of the time, you're a civilian. You make very little money from the military and at best the biggest pro to being reserves is you're able to call yourself a Marine, still.
How do you get paid in the marines? Is it a hourly wage? Or is it a certain amount per month?
How long will I have to save my money to get a Dodge Challenger ??
hey what happens if i already have a bank? before going to bootcamp
It would suck to keep her from her career for years because she would have to be on an overseas base with me you know?
What are follow up courses for your MOS?
When you're a single, do you get any sort of allowance for housing/food? Or it's just all free cause you live on base... Also do you have to pay for food at the chow hall?
It depends. If you are not located at a place that is within walking distance of a chow hall (I am not) then you rate 'commrats.' You get 300 bucks a month for your own food. If you do live close enough to a chow hall, you eat there 'free.' (Your bah as a single marine pays for it)
Is there a way to go into recruit training as a Lance Corporal?
Nope
honestly just save the money and dont finance for a car, its just such a big money sink.
