    I absolutely love the stokke trip trap, so much that I bought two for both kids! It’s my number one must have id say. You do have to remember that babies aren’t supposed to start solids until they can sit on their own for at least 30 seconds, so around 6 months.

    • @CarlyCristman
      @CarlyCristman  2 года назад +3

      wow, that's great your kids loved it so much! My son was over 6 months and still was not a fan. It's ok- every child is so different! Thanks for leaving your review so parents can see other sides

      We have a dupe to the Tripp Trapp and my daughter started using it when she was one. She’ll be 3 soon and we love it 🥰

    Hard disagree on the Muslim swaddles. You are right they don’t swaddle well but I use them all the time. They are great to cover up while nursing and then you can use it as a burp cloth to protect your clothes. It’s also a great light blanket or to lay out to put baby down in case they spit up or have a diaper leak.

      Yes I completely agree!! I use them as burp clothes and for on top of the changing mat too for blow outs as well lol

    • @babieswhobrunch
      @babieswhobrunch 2 года назад

      I actually love these because they dry super quickly and can do a little bit of everything. I wrapped up my babies like a burrito in them so they were nice and tight and then gradually did one arm out then two then onto a sleep sack. I think without the baby burrito demo at the hospital I may not have liked them as much

    • @itismery

      I also always carried like 2 or 3 with me for burping, cleaning spit ups, as a blanket etc. I couldn’t live without them. The prints were a cute plus but you could do with white ones hehe :)

    I was just in a store (near the baby section) and commented to my teenagers that I am actually glad there weren't that many choices when they were babies. I hope young parents watch and listen you your reviews so they don't waste time and money. I can't imagine how expensive these items are. I will take notes for future GC and great neice/nephew gifts. ❤️

    I had the stokke ttrip trap when I was younger and I used it until I was 17 years old. At the beginning 8 years to eat and after to study in my room. It was amazing and certainly well worth the money!

    I love your videos. The snuggle me and Tripp Trapp are my absolute favourites though! Couldn’t do without them. Both my kids sleep supervised in the snuggle me about half the time and then held or worn the other half. Love it.

    I agree with the Snuggle Me! My first son, absolutely hated it! Now, my second son, did well but only on the infant stage up until 3 months. I am giving it to a friend who is pregnant and hopefully it works for her.
    Now I love all my muslin swaddles & Keekaroo! Muslin blankets can be used as a burp cloth, nursing coverup, a light blanket, quick option to lay the baby on etc. The Keekaroo has been a game changer, I love that I can just wipe it down and it doesn’t tear like the cheap plastic ones(hated those things!)

    I liked the mesh feeders not because they qere less mess, but for babies that aren't excited to try a new food, the biting on the mesh can make it a little more exciting to actually try a new food ;)

    For me practically every newborn-sized item. My babies grew way too fast to fit in them after 0-2 months. I had a cute portable bassinet that was used once.

    The bumbo was a no go for me. I bought the slightly fancier bumbo that can strap on chairs as well as just be a bumbo on the floor. My baby hated it and her thighs got to chuncky for it really fast.

    • @CarlyCristman
      @CarlyCristman  2 года назад +2

      Omg yes the bumbo!! Never bought one because we tried it once and my daughter haaaaated it! I didn’t understand it, felt like it was such a bad position for her hips / legs!

    I think the hardest part about baby products is what one baby loves another can totally hate. Like both my nieces loved their swing but my besties daughter absolutely hated it. Curious to see what my baby likes.

  • @LisaBellaVitaa

    My girl is 14 months now but had SEVERE COLIC and omg those first few months were soooo rough so I can relate. She screamed 10 hours a day non stop it was truly horrific so I can relate! . I’m still shocked when I meet friend newborns who just lie down and quietly sleep 😮. It’s made me sooooo terrified to have another but at least I can be more prepared this time. Why do they not warn us about colic at antenatal classes lol it nice to hear someone else talk about it x

    Never had a baby wrap but i do have a ring sling and love it. Very easy and fast to put baby, you need to practice a few times.
    Snuggle me organic or any baby nest never worked for us.

  • @northernbelle0488
    @northernbelle0488 2 года назад

    I love the Snuggle Me lounger for my newborn! We don’t use it on hard surfaces though, it’s more to have her in a safe place while on our bed or the couch. Agree about the swings - they don’t do anything for us during the witching hours! My best lesson so far is that every baby is so dang different 🙈

  • @threethreeoh
    @threethreeoh 2 года назад

    Yes, those darn muslin swaddles!!! I have SO many of them that don't do anything - my daughter would break free of them as a newborn! I wish I would've known before I bought them or put them on my registry.

  • @dedicateddreamer9363
    @dedicateddreamer9363 2 года назад

    I love hearing others perspectives - all babies and mothers are so different :). I love muslin blankets (my third would only tolerate these for swaddling and I used them for burping and on the go with the others), my son and daughter are now using the tripp traps in the chair mode at 4 and 2, and I have loved the keekerao :). Any baby bath has been a total fail for us, swanky infant car seats (convertibles were better), and the ridiculously priced double strollers that are stadium style. We live in Chicago and it is laughable to think about taking those anywhere. Side by side was the way to go for us.

  • @Jessicas249

    Mine absolutely loved the snuggle me organic. The first month we used it everyday but he grew out of it super quick. Biggest fail was the mama roo swing. Also the mamaroo bassinet - he sleeps great in it but we use zero of the sound/movement features which is the cost driver.

    Honestly looking back I would have skipped the cribs if I had been educated on a Montessori nursery. So darn expensive and only used for 2 years… till my kids tried to break their necks by flinging themselves out of them. Twin mattress on the floor and you can use for years and years!! I never bought a baby changer… just a waterproof pad and changed them on my bed. I did love that swing 😉

    So I have a curved/sway back and the baby wrap I loved but could only use it for a short time because my back would start to hurt. But her dad loved it. He could bundle her like a kangaroo and be on his way. It was the cutest thing.

  • @morganH551

    Disagree on the swings, baby carriers and Muslim blankets
    Swing and baby carrier was my life saver with my son who had colic. And we just had a simple graco swing. And the blankets are great for burping, covering baby, covering up nursing, and placing on the floor. The baby wrap is a learning process

  • @RubyOpheliaQuinn

    I always used slings when I wore my kids. So much more convenient than wraps.

    We borrowed a swing and good thing, he lasted a week! I also debated the tripp trapp but went with a regular high chair in the end. The dang mesh feeders! I got a few thinking they’d be great for teething or helping him learn to eat solids. Nope! 🤣

    I just bought a swing for my newest granddaughter. I hope it’s working. I’m not sure because they went to another state for three months. My daughter is doing the traveling nurse thing again. So I hope the swing is working. I haven’t heard otherwise. But I’m a granddaughter. I’m usually being pimple pads, and lashes. Or for my oldest grandson Robux. I don’t know a lot about baby things anymore. I might in a few months when they come back home.

    I always thought I would babywear, but never really did. (Perhaps because my babies were big?) I ended up using the car seat when we went out. I should've borrowed or bought fewer carriers.

    • @CarlyCristman
      @CarlyCristman  2 года назад +1

      I did that too! The thought of transitioning them from the car seat to the wrap and back to the car seat was too much for me / my children. They would never have tolerated it haha

    My sister never bought a mama roo swing but she did borrow it tho from a friend my niece hated it and I don't remember if my nephew even tried it lol hahahaha. Also my sister had a musiln blankets for when they wanted blankets but it was still summer so it was still thin enough so they wouldn't get hot . Not that my niece and nephew needed blankets in summer lol they just wanted them lol. My sister had manyyyyyyyyyy different burp cloths or cloths for other uses so she may have had the muslin cloths as well I don't remember bc she had so many

    The snoo. Oh do I hate the snoo. That effing snoo. I'm convinced the people it works for just have naturally good sleepers. My reflux baby hates it. We get at most 1.5 hour chunks in it before the wailing stars and that expensive hunk of junk shuts off. Some people are lucky to have good sleepers. I produce angry colicky reflux babies who hate life and make everyone around them miserable until they grow out of it at 5ish months.

    • @CarlyCristman
