In almost every video done on the JMA Dome he says the renovations made a more translucent roof. The renovation actually reduced the amount of light let into the dome. The old air filled roof covered the entire stadium and let light in from end to end. So be cautious on saying these are facts you don't need to know.

Thanks for shouting out the Long Beach Walter Pyramid! The seats look removable because they are...sort of. The three main seating sections actually lift up so the entire floor space can be used for practice, P.E. classes, and other events. Watch the movie Starship Troopers to see this configuration years ago in the football game scene. Fun fact: only about 60% of the planned seats were ever installed, due to budget issues in the mid-1990's. Otherwise, it would have had a capacity around 7000, instead of the current 4200. They recently squeezed in 4300 for a Men's Volleyball match against UCLA, and will be hosting the NCAA Men's Volleyball Elite Eight championship in May 2024...provided the weather is good, and the roof doesn't leak! 😅

Hilton Coliseum in Ames (home of Iowa State) flooded twice, in 1993 and 2010. This is because the arena was literally built on a flood plane!

I remember the story about Pauley Pavilion and the flood. One of the LA TV stations had an 'expert' on the phone (his last name was Slungpue), and he thought someone put a cherry bomb in a toilet or 'someone took a really large dump'. Apologies for the inappropriate comment but that went out on Live TV back in 2014.

Maryland has the most dead college basketball atmosphere in the Big Ten. Same for football.

The Maryland "Wall" is similar to what in the Premier League in England is called a "kop"-- not many remain.

Im surprised the Dean Center has never been renovated....you appreciate the old charm feel but it would be nice if they it was upgraded a bit.

It has been renovated/upgraded a number of times, but not always in a way that would be obvious to a TV viewer (new locker rooms, practice facilities, a museum, etc)
New video boards and LED lights (a few years ago) are about all most viewers might notice....
