  • In 1999, Michael Jordan attended two NBA games that Kobe Bryant played. This is a detailed documentary about what happened in those games. MJ was clearly enjoying young Kobe taking over in the clutch, dominating his ex-teammate Scottie Pippen.

Comparing Bron to Kobe is ok and let me do just that. When MJ watch young Kobe, his competitiveness burns and it makes him want to get back into the game! When old MJ watch prime Bron, it just made him pissed off and no doubt hate the game. I haven't watched a live NBA game since Kobe retired, I think most people of my generation gets turned off by the NBA these days.

The closest MJ ever came to having an "out of body" experience and watching himself play. You can tell how much he loved Kobe - kindred spirits. God had a small piece of very special cloth - enough to cut and make MJ and Kobe out of it. That's it. Sleep in peace Kobe and Gigi....EDIT: MJ was making THIRTY MILLION a season - back in 1997!!! Think about that. More than a QUARTER OF A CENTURY LATER - Lebron is "only" making 45 mil. That's insane. 30 mil in 1997 is the equivalent of MJ making FIFTY SIX MILLION a year in today's salary. Crazy.

crossovers are becoming a thing in the early 2000s which the old schools werent really prepared for… yeah they had Tim Hardaway and a few 90s players who also had a crossover move but that was the 90s style…

At 13:26 that was a turnover on Pippen that was great defense by Kobe Bryant that should not be a jump ball

In all fairness to Pippen, he had to take on Rodman AND Kobe at the same time. Rodman alone was enough to neutralize Pip's offense. But for Pippen to have to deal with both of these superstars was a bridge too far. Jordan could've managed it though...and that's why MJ will always be better than Pippen (AND Kobe), in my book.
There was just nobody REALLY like MJ...before or since.

Jordan definitely could've took them on. But Jordan was that type of player who looked for those challenges. Pippen was more of a team player getting everyone involved.

The question now becomes…who is taking away the torch from LeBron? Is it Giannis?

Nobody but you is thinking about that question. Plus, his torch was passed through a variety of hands prior and after the bubble championship.
