- In 1999, Michael Jordan attended two NBA games that Kobe Bryant played. This is a detailed documentary about what happened in those games. MJ was clearly enjoying young Kobe taking over in the clutch, dominating his ex-teammate Scottie Pippen.

Oh 4 sure!!
MJ loved Kobe because he knew that Kobe was way way better than he was, and that it was not even close 😎😎😎

MJ and Kobe play like they both are out for blood.
Comparing Bron to Kobe is ok and let me do just that. When MJ watch young Kobe, his competitiveness burns and it makes him want to get back into the game! When old MJ watch prime Bron, it just made him pissed off and no doubt hate the game. I haven't watched a live NBA game since Kobe retired, I think most people of my generation gets turned off by the NBA these days.
What?
G.O.A.T Jordan watching Baby Jordan like a proud father but he was like a big brother to Kobe💯 The torch was passed starting in 1999🏀❤️🔥R.I.P Kobe and Gianna 🙏🥺😭
It’s rare you coming across somebody with the same drive and attitude and MJ knew that
Even his demeanor and the way he talked in interviews he emulated Mike so much that they have the same manners.
He was a psychic..copied Jordan down to the tee
A master watching his student 💯
It was always insane for me to think that a retired MJ in 99 or 2000 could easily still be a top 3 player in the league. I hate that the Bulls forced him into retirement after 98...
Jerry Reindorff's cheap ass didn't wanna sign them again
Lakers vs bulls 2000 would of been crazy

What majority of people dont know, Mike was teaching kobe during his years off retirement from the bulls.
Magic and Jordan were graceful in passing thr torch .
You could tell from that interview after the game looking in hindsight. How focused Kobe was.
Imagine just winning such a game.
HIS STATEMENT AFTER: we have a tougher game tomorrow.
Kobe is The G.O.A.T.

That's actually a perfect analogy, MJ is the King, Kobe is the Prince of the nba.

As a Jordan fan Kobe Dosent even come close to jordan and LeBron LeBron outplayed Kobe in there match ups as well from 06-13
The thumbnail to this vid cracks me up but I love seeing Mike smiling courtside l

Dang I was so surprised seeing Ty Lue’s face out there!
These videos hit different now knowing how close these 2 were this whole time with broadcasting it to make it profitable
The closest MJ ever came to having an "out of body" experience and watching himself play. You can tell how much he loved Kobe - kindred spirits. God had a small piece of very special cloth - enough to cut and make MJ and Kobe out of it. That's it. Sleep in peace Kobe and Gigi....EDIT: MJ was making THIRTY MILLION a season - back in 1997!!! Think about that. More than a QUARTER OF A CENTURY LATER - Lebron is "only" making 45 mil. That's insane. 30 mil in 1997 is the equivalent of MJ making FIFTY SIX MILLION a year in today's salary. Crazy.

Kobe was never even close to jordan.lmmfao.only 1 goat
@@thatman4853 Then you didn't watch either one of them play in their prime. I had the pleasure of watching both. And without question, Jordan was 1 and Kobe was 1a.
@@marcoslaureano5562 ...
I watched both of their primes and Kobe is not close to MJ other than aesthetically of course. Not a Kobe hater, but he wasn't capable of doing what MJ did which is why there's such a huge discrepancy in their stats & accolades even tho they look so similar...he emulated MJ technically but it was two completely different bodies and mind's at work.
Kind of weird looking back. Now that we have seen what has happened since those days. Good memories
Fantastic video!
MJ enjoyed watching Kobe because Kobe showed respect to him and the Black Mamba is his heir
Micheal Jordan on the sideline with the late great Joe Morgan is timeless. Hanging out with an elder!
Michael prefers elderly people to befriend with. Smart move.
Its crazy that 99 mj can still beat everyone in that era 😒🍵
Jordan looks: "you are lucky I am not playing" :)
If Jordan never retired he would have had over 40,000 career NBA points easy ven after 3 years in college!!
Respect from the Goat priceless
As Kobe passed the ball to Eddie in the Houston game , I remember Eddie jones was signed to team jordan shoes .
Jordan was watching Kobe and that game but also he investment too . I remember having those Eddie Jones in middle school and then wearing them in the Ohio state Jim o’Brien basketball camp .
MJ GREATEST OF ALL TIME ⌚ 🏀 (BULLS)
He’s the SON of GOAT
GOAT had no "Sons". Jordan is alone very alone at the TOP.

Game were so much fun back then
Excellent excellent video. Rodman might have been confused on calling his wife real name vs Carmen Electra as most of folk were familiar
The Number 1 watching the Number 2 play 💯
He loved that boy
Dennis is hilarious! Like when I forgot the name of my son.
Kobe 🐐
The two Goats
By 1999, Kobe was in his 4th NBA season. Also, was his first season avg 20ppg. And before someone comes and says that he barely played in the seasons before. He avg 27 mpg and in 1998 he avg 37 mpg.
Kobe had to beat out Eddie Jones and Nick van EXEL in backcourt...
We just not gone talk about how Dennis forgot his wife name 😂😂🤣🤣
I didn’t know Carmen Electra’s real name is Tera Patrick Lmao. I thought Dennis was talking about the pornstar.

You can tell Jordan enjoyed watching him play.

Can you imagine Kobe Bean Bryant going against Dan Magerlie.. Danny Ainge.. Brent Barry.. Craig Iloe
Oneal leading the league in scoring at 26.7 pts in 2000 and today where multiple scorers are over the 30 pt level is insane. Less physical defense and game has evolved into more skilled offense
in this clip alone you can see the game starts evolving slowly as how Grant Hill, AI and Kobe crossing people including Pippen who was a top NBA defender of the 90s and Pippen was younger compared to Jordan and Rodman… and Pippen cant do anything to a young Kobe who’s entering his prime💁🏻♀️💯
crossovers are becoming a thing in the early 2000s which the old schools werent really prepared for… yeah they had Tim Hardaway and a few 90s players who also had a crossover move but that was the 90s style…
?? Crossovers are not new and existed before that, Michael Jordan did crossovers on people and would have done it on Scottie pippen a lot. You just listed great players and that Pippen struggled with greats. The cross over is not new or over powered and was no transition in that sense.
Tim Hardaway?
Nick Van Exel brought that same crossover out in 93-94 a few years before iverson.
@@Ryukikon Those other crossovers were tighter. They got loose and wide and high in the mid 90s.
Kobe was not entering his prime 😂
Rodman forgetting his own wife’s name in the post game interview is hilarious even Ahmad Rashad could barely keep from laughing 😂
😂😂😂
Tara Leigh Patrick, her real name.
More like embarrassing

Kobe had Shaq when he started playing, MJ had no names , till Pippen came around
🎉I Think Jordan Respects LeBron And What He's Done But I'll Bet You Mike Respect For The Mamba Is On Another Level 🎚️
MJ ate and spit out what he said to young Kobe, Kobe is and did what no player in NBA he send and humiliate mj ,so personally K B is top dog over mj ..❤
Jordan came back and owned part of the Bullets now Washington Wizards
Kobe Bryant is the son Michael Jordan always wanted
I was MJ fan first and I love Kobe God rest his soul i love basketball❤ I take Kobe over LeBron and MJ any day of the week
To me, Kobe was the original Lebron. Love has his own game on N64, Kobe Courtside, in 98. We were literally just coming off the MJ era and this new young kid Kobe was already gunning for MJ by 2000. In the 2000’s, Kobe and Tom Brady were the only two athletes I watched where I thought only God could stop them.
Ton Brady wasn't even that good until randy moss and I'll be 32 this year... wtf you saying Kurt Warner js the GOAT qb.. I literally got don't having this argument seconds ago... he was chasing manning and the guy on top KURT WARNER. It's called patriots defense in bill bellichick and for the life of me ADAM VINATERI WHO SAVED TOM BRADYS CAREER LIKE THE 02 SUPERBOWL VS THE RAMS
Tired of this Brady talk. You can have everything else... talk about a propaganda piece
@@ctbcardinal Kurt Warner is not no GOAT.
Warner got capped by a desperate Patriots defense; who would have strived even if Brady wasn't the noob he was at that time.
Kurt Warner has like two good seasons.
I'll take Marino over Warner, and Marini is ringless. However, Marino was ten toes while suffering in the Montana era.
@@Edgesofnowhere008 be real and stop being an idiot I, he’s better than Aaron rodgers and Peyton manning, best pocket and scrambling qb period
@@Edgesofnowhere008 yea and guess who was winning and going to the Super Bowl after the Montana era stupid… du du du duh
I had no idea John Stark played for the Warriors.
Closest player to jordan
The shot Kobe hit down 4 not on his list of clutch shots because it wasn't at the buzzer or it wasn't to take the lead but that shot was clutch that's why he's labeled one of the best clutch players not because he hit the shot when the buzzer sounded
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery
This narrator sounds like Mike Willbaun
Effing Bull's management cost MJ his 7th ring. Jordan will never get over it. smdh
MJ is very handsome
Dennis Rodman is a savage.. Tera Patrick? LMFAOOO DAWGGGG 🤣🤣🤣 wrong white girl
Barkley played with Pippen at rockets.
No one at one point could defend Kobe and that’s a fact. Not even KD in his prime would stand a chance in the early 2000s which he didn’t.
There were a lot of lean years for Warriors. People don't realize that.
If MJ would've started his rookie season with a Shaq, he wouldve won a chip by year 3. He averaged 28 ppg as a rookie. Insane
Kobe won his by year 4….first 2 years he rode the bench with minimal playing time….let tht sink in !
@@jackblaze2895 you another kobe hater?
What number does Lebron rock again Today 6 or 23? From off The Lakers haven't watched since 2021 Of March and when Kobe was playing when he was living on the Lakers playing.
Tara Patrick is Carmen Electra's real name.
Father and son.. closest to it
kobe similarities move with mj
We just gonna ignore that Rodman ✌️forgot✌️his wife's name and I guess ✌️accidentally✌️called her Tera Patrick??😁☠️
The Worm was a *FOOL* bruh
Not me I always thought Kobe had his own style
At 13:26 that was a turnover on Pippen that was great defense by Kobe Bryant that should not be a jump ball
Kobe is the only one who surpassed MJ !!!
These two couldn't share the history of NBA together coz Kobe became big like MJ,so he was a threat
Basketball HOF Joe Morgan lol
Jordan should have joined Lakers. What was he thinking?
Got damn forgot her name ? Lol that’s different. They had point that out
In all fairness to Pippen, he had to take on Rodman AND Kobe at the same time. Rodman alone was enough to neutralize Pip's offense. But for Pippen to have to deal with both of these superstars was a bridge too far. Jordan could've managed it though...and that's why MJ will always be better than Pippen (AND Kobe), in my book.
There was just nobody REALLY like MJ...before or since.
Jordan definitely could've took them on. But Jordan was that type of player who looked for those challenges. Pippen was more of a team player getting everyone involved.
The question now becomes…who is taking away the torch from LeBron? Is it Giannis?
Nobody but you is thinking about that question. Plus, his torch was passed through a variety of hands prior and after the bubble championship.
@@normanclarke9587 No it wasn’t you fool. And I can tell…you don’t actually think period.
