    Got that right back in the day Gerber was the go to company for quality what a shame.

    Gunna run the Cold steel through its paces, The town where I got it is kinda in the middle of nowhere so they might be more than other places but for the most part stuff like this is way more over here, Gerber is doing a recall on the parang , Emailed then waiting for a reply to see what I have to do to get replaced.

    I have the cold steel kukri and love it. Canada must be expensive, the cold steel kukri is only $10 in the states. Does Gerber have a warrenty?

    Yeah, you really gotta watch what Gerber products you buy. I love Gerber...but thier newer stuff just isn't up to hard or even medium useage. Which is a shame. I've been wanting to get the CS Kukri machete. But really, any machete as thin as both of those isn't meant for much more than light duty...still sucks the Gerber has a definative design flaw!

    I think is a combo of two thin and shit steel lookes like cast steel in stead of forged or drawn steel.
