    I’ve seen a lot of different versions of this on the internet (live versions) but this one is definitely my favorite, SOO DOPE!! Just question, idk if u know but do u know if there’s like a different music sheet for each tour or production because each production’s exit music sounds so different to each other

    • @S_Clarke
      @S_Clarke Год назад +2

      I think they’re all different because it’s the musicians chance to show off they’re skills while sticking to the same bass rhythm. Might be wrong tho 😂😂

    • @jaredildefonzo
      @jaredildefonzo Год назад +1

      @@S_Clarke he replied to another comment saying that he did follow the music sheet with the drum solos improvised, that’s why I’m asking. But I mean u are right in saying that the musicians do show off during this time, but when they have a solo. Besides their solo, they mostly follow the sheet music.

      Hey there, thx so much for the kind words. All touring companies have the same sheet music, and for the most part we're all sticking to it. The exit music is sort of an exception, and some pit players feel they can move away from the ink a little bit, depending on the conductor. As for the actual drum solo, well that's written to be improvised every night! I even posted another solo where I did a reggaeton-influenced drum solo. Hope that helps!

      @@woodondrums thanks bro for the words, I appreciate u! I’m a drummer as well I’ve been drumming since I was 1 years old and now I’m 12. As a job I do want to be a pit musician and if that dream comes true I would love to be a musician for Hamilton and tons more shows. I love to play along with your vid just for fun. I’ve also seen the reggae solo vid, So dope bro, your amazing. Thanks bro.

    Man you did an incredible job! The 'My Shot' section of the exit music always slaps so damn hard. Is there an actual timbale in your rig for those little fills during 'Non-Stop' or is that coming from somewhere/something else?

    • @woodondrums
      @woodondrums  Год назад +2

      thanks so very much! and yep, there's a real timbale in the kit, but the kit is so wide that it didn't make it into the camera frame.

    How do you get into this field? Because this would be like my actual dream job

    • @woodondrums
      @woodondrums  15 дней назад +1

      most folks find out who the other theater cats are in the area, and then try and get gigs subbing for them. others reach out to the local contractors.

    • @EthanPlaysGuitar14
      @EthanPlaysGuitar14 10 дней назад +1

      Oh that makes sense. Thanks for answering! I have one more question if you don’t mind though. What does it require? Do you need any fancy music degrees or anything like that?

    • @woodondrums
      @woodondrums  9 дней назад

      @@EthanPlaysGuitar14 In my experience the only need for music degrees are to enter into the academic world as teachers at schools and colleges. Main requirements for theater work are being able to read music, lock in with a click, follow a conductor. Find the folks in your area that are playing the theaters there, take lessons with them.

    Is there sheet music for this?

    • @woodondrums
      @woodondrums  2 года назад +5

      There’s sheet music for the exit music (don’t know if it’s available to the public), but the drum solo is improvised.
