I grew up in California and just always knew the kind of prices that existed there. When I moved out of California I couldn’t believe how cheaper things are in other places. I couldn’t see going back to California. So, don’t leave California if you think about coming back one day

The effects of the downturn are beginning to sink in. People are being impacted by the long-term decline in property prices and the housing market. I recently sold my house in the California area, and I want to invest my lump-sum profit in the stock market before prices start to rise again. Is now the right moment to buy or not?

I suggest you offset your real estate and get into stocks, A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. Paying rent, it’s such a waste of money. We purchased a house in 2005 and paid off our mortgage entirely after 16 years. Now living mortgage and rent free. (Only paying property tax once a year). During the years after we bought the house, rent fees increased very fast, but we had almost the same monthly mortgage payments. After a couple of years, people paid for apartment rent more than we paid for our mortgage; and since our income was higher and higher each year, we were able to pay additional each month without hurting our financial life until we paid off.

Yeah thats a hard pass. I love California but not paying 6k in rent a month. You will forever be a renter making landlord richer as you stay stuck in the forveer infalting rent prices.

California has the worst economy in America. They did it to themselves. Why anyone lives there is beyond me. Great to vacation, horrible to live.
Also why are you leasing a car rather than buying one you can afford?
Grocery, car, gas, insurance and haircuts are all your choice so I wouldn’t add that to the total.

California is a good place to live that’s why 39 million people live there it has the best economy in America I don’t know what you’re talking about it’s literally the richest state. Also what state has the most national parks, beaches and mountains in one. I want to move to California it’s the only state I like if I can’t move there I’ll prolly be out the country
