Why not keep the smaller ones and leave those ones that are obviously days away from releasing all them eggs back into the water there's plenty of purse there to catch

i caught a legit 18 inch yellow perch out of Quemahoning Dam near Davidsville, Pa. back when i was in highschool. we measured it and then turned it loose.... wasn't nearly as fat though.

If you had live scope you could really wear them out.
Believe it or not. Those big perch were on the bottom so tight you couldn’t see them like you’d think. Once in awhile we’d spot a school of 5 or 6. But realistically I was just casting all around the boat and had my jig like 6 inches off the bottom.
Man I haven’t caught Lake Erie perch in probably 10 years. I’m so jealous!!! Great job!!!
Thank you I usually only chase these perch once a year. I prefer crappie of these perch.

How do you fish them plastics? Been trying on shore but seems like the boats have the success. Liberty was good but slow now.
I mean there is multiple ways to work a plastic. You can drop shot it. Put it on a jig head in this video alone I used it 2 ways. Once’s under a float with a jig head in 9fow and no bobber in 22 fow with a few split shots. Best advice I’d give is try any way you can till it works. And don’t be afraid to adjust knot so your jig sits vertically.

A pound or even 2# perch 4# should be plenty to flip... What a bunch of fish !! Congrats again. Believe we were anchored damn near really close to you'll a couple wks ago when we were down. We did well with some big fish. But NOT THAT BIG !! wtg. Just my opinion to flip em that's all. Keep pounding! Lk. St.clair home to us and its perch time here too 😁😁
