- Neuty is a rescue Nutria who sticks to this man like glue. Saved as a tiny baby he was raised by Myra and Denny who make sure he has all he needs. Neuty can’t help but choose his "dad" over everyone and has to go everywhere with him in his truck.

Note for fellow animal lovers🗒 The rest of Neuty's siblings were transferred to a rescue and are doing well today! But since Neuty needed extra help due to health problems, he had to stay with Myra and Denny. Nutrias are not pets and nature is the best environment for them🐾
If this is in N. America, nutria are an invasive species from S. America. The wild isn’t actually the best place for them if they are invasive, they can displace native wildlife 😕
Neuty the nutria, yes they are very cute, where are they from? They look like they are related to woodchuck and beavers
What if its safer to not be released
Pleased to hear that. Wonderful. ❤
Yes
It's like a cross between a rat, beaver, and capybara
Yeah sounds about right. There's one down the street from where I work, living in a big ditch along the highway. There's a strip mall there and a resturant that created a little landscaped pond and it's full of wild geese, ducks etc... and a big old FAT Netrina that everybody throws left overs to....
Yep... Cute lil thing.
Looks like he has a great personality and demeanor.
Ratbeavara
That's what I was thinking too.
I was going to say that
I love people who love animals. Period.
Same here! 🥰👍
My kind of people.
Well said. 😊
I gravitate towards these people ❤❤
And who take the trouble to find out what's best for the particular animal they have.
OMG I love this video so much! When I was young my dad brought home a baby nutria. I keep him as a pet and he was the most loyal animal I've ever had! He followed me everywhere! One day my dad talked me into letting him go back into the wild. I didn't want to but I did. I took him to a nice area that had a pond and a creek and he would be safe. He loved the pond and I sat and watched him swim for a while and said good by went back home. Three days later "Peety" my pet nutria had found his own way back home! I never let anyone even try to talk me into letting him go free again.
Good on you ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Awww! I don’t blame you one bit! You did the right thing to give him a chance to back to the wild, and he came back because you were his new forever home! ❤👍
Good story...and they lived happily ever after. hehe
Once you raise a animal you don't want to release it as it can not survive do to not being taught by its parents and becoming used to humans.
Good
All creatures great and small deserve respect, and affection.
Totally agreed 👍
Even mosquitoes?
What about horseflies, or tapeworms?
Moreso, what about viruses like Aids or Corona?
On a scientific level I suppose one can have respect for what they are as organisms but, affection?
Come now...
@@nana8nanashi A virus isn't an organism, it doesn't even have cells, not even a single cell. Why are you trying to tear down such a well meaning comment? Of course you can try to find things that some people might think of as an exception, but In principle, YES, ALL creatures deserve respect and have the right to life. Some creatures may do things that we don't like, but WE do a million and one things that I'm sure many other species on this planet don't like!! We're the biggest pest, parasite, habitat destroyer, murderer, destroyer of entire species etc. If you're going to try to argue that a mosquito, say, doesn't deserve to be treated with respect or affection because it transmits malaria... then you could also argue that humans don't deserve to be treated with respect or affection for all the reasons I just listed. But we still do deserve respect and affection. That's the point. All creatures do.
Your husband is a mother, a nutria mother. What an amazing experience. It’s a gift to be able to bring so much joy to a living thing. Anybody can be a nurturer.
It will have a lonely life with no nutria friends. An unnatural life. Yeah, I know he needed help in the beginning, but shouldn't rehab and release have been best?
@@wendybutler1681 This short video does not give the entire story. My experience has been that when a wild animal reaches maturity, they naturally want to go off into the wild. I have raised many wild animals and transitioned them all into the wild except for one. How old is this nutria, how long have they raised it, what are their plans? Since we don’t know, I’ll refrain from criticizing. He’s living a better life than road kill. I don’t know much, but I do know that babies need to be loved.
"True love is the only heart disease that is best left to "run on"--the only affection of the heart for which there is no help, and none desired."
- Mark Twain
😄 Absolutely! Neuty's story highlights the beautiful bond that can form between humans and animals, regardless of traditional roles.
Speaking of an “unnatural life,” my cats live a bizarre and unnatural life. They are like whole house hamsters who never go outside, walk on grass or chase leaves in the breeze. This is a choice I made for them because if they are indoor/outdoor pets, they will 100% be killed by coyotes, hawks, cars or dogs. This is not an opinion, this is a fact. My cats are not apex predators, so by the rules of nature maybe I should let them be apart of the food chain? Except, I choose no.
This is so awesome! I've never seen a Neutria before. I love that they were willing to take care of him and give him a home. ❤️❤️
that guy who makes mousetrap videos like to eat them that's the only time I've seen them
@@stitches318 What?? What did U Say?? 🤢😨😱💔🖤 😭😭 Im Dead 🕊️
@@LeticiaSarabia-yb8dm Haha there's this guy on RUclips who makes these mousetrap videos. They're very popular. One time he caught a bunch of nutria in his swamp and cooked them up for him and his 3 year old daughter
Beautiful
bit scary looking
Wow, I have never heard of a Nutria
You heard it here first 🧡💚💙💜
Me neither.
me neither too@@GODDESS1966
I thought he was a groundhog, actually he looks like a cross between a groundhog and a beaver. Cute little guy 💚
They were trapped for fur and meat. In the 40s up to the 70s they're pelts were prized for fur coats and hats. It was a booming business in New Orleans.
I live in Finland and I saw one at mom’s cabin. I was sitting at our pier at dusk, heard noises from behind me, long grass rustling, turned my head (expecting to see neighbors dog or something) and there it was! We looked at each other for good two seconds, both equally shocked, Im sure, and this enormous rat just vanished in the water, making as much noise as a small child jumping in. I ran back to the cabin, somewhat frantically trying to convey what just happened, “I know this sounds utterly bonkers, but I just saw gigantic rat”. My always chill stepdad just laughed and told us about nutrias. Mom had heard very similar water splashes from the lakeshore for couple of weeks, we think they had a nest somewhere near. Nutrias used to be trapped for their fur, I believe my great grandma had a nutria coat in the 50s-60s.
I’m so glad Neuty’s legal troubles are behind him. He’s adorable!
When I was a kid, a person in our neighborhood had them. I haven't seen one since then. We took lettuce and carrots to feed them. This brought me back too my childhood. Thank you and God bless
🥰 What a beautiful trip down memory!
Some breed them to eat them. At least they still do this in eastern Germany.
I’ve never seen a pet Nutria before. They kind of remind me of pet Beavers with how they act. This little guy loves his home and family for sure. He’s got a great life.
I thank God He gave us animals in this Life. I am more convinced every day older I become that they have a special purpose in our lives. Thanks for posting this.
Humans possess the amazing capacity to bond and relate to animals, from insects to whales, the only barrier is the one we create.
They live a long time in captivity.
People like this give me hope for our species.
How nice to see a different side to nutrias - it's nice that the man takes him out with him to educate other people.
Thank you for loving this little guy, I hate when people treat them like they are gross or nuisance animals. ❤️
❤️🐾
Ummm well unfortunately they are labeled as an "invasive species", they can destroy the environment if not kept in check
Well unfortunately they are considered an invasive species, meaning they can be destructive to the environment if not kept in check
Why is my comment about them being an invasive species always being deleted??
@@billblaski9523 snowflakes who don't believe in facts erase 🤣
nutrias are such fascinating animals
Gosh...the last time I heard anything about Nutria was a while ago. Some program on TV that stated they were problematic in Louisiana, and that that there was an effort to hunt them regularly to keep the population down. Never thought about Nutria since then, but it's nice to see something positive, and even nicer seeing folks come to the rescue of some orphaned Nutria. I know some animal's can be invasive, or pests, but I don't like the way they can be heartlessly disposed of either. I'm glad Neuty got a nice home to spend the rest of his life in!
In my experience, wild ones can be pretty aggressive and they smell bad. Of course a tamed cleaned up one is adorable!
I heard that too. I guess they are quite beaver like and that can mean destruction especially if they are living in the city. But the one down the street from work has been there many many years and everyone feeds it so its quite rotund. I guess it only takes one bad person or one Karen to ruin it.
well, Louisiana has dams, berms to hold back water and these guys burrow into them causing instability and damage. BUT I LOVE animals and it's Not thir fault so I Hope live and let will work in any problem areas. And PEACEFUL solutions can be found if problems arise. I love Neuty and his family, it's a sweet, lovely story. @@intheredcold9216
Exactly....some ppl are so quick to eliminate things...it's adorable....find a better solution instead of killing ....
The Nutruia is a big problem in Louisiana, even 10 years ago they had a bounty on their little heads. 5 dollar per Nutria.
I watched one of the channels that said a petition of over a hundred signatures, calls and complaints had to be made to convince the Department of Wildlife not to Nutria away from this family.
I am so glad they didnt succeed so that Nutria could stay with the only folks he knows
He's absolutely gorgeous, I hope he has a wonderful life. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
💖💖
They say that you learn something new everyday and today I learned about an animal called a Nutria, lol. 56yrs old and I have never even heard of these before so thanks for the video.
🌟 It's never too late to discover something new! I'm thrilled Neuty could introduce you to the world of nutrias.
I loved all animals then.
I’ve never heard of these animals before. Isn’t he a cutey. Adorable.
Neuty is completely awesome!! He is a BIG BALL OF LOVE!! Just adorable to look at!! He is attached to his Adopted Dad!! Understandably So!! Just Amazing!!❤❤😊😊!!

Just so Wonderful Xx
Thank you Denny and Myra for giving Neuty a home!
Never seen anything like it! What a Very Special little SWEETHEART! 💝
Cool little animal, and looks like a great companion.
Some animals are more social than some people I know 🐹❤️
Adorable
Nutria were raised for fur in California early on. When the pelt market crashed the farmers released their stock.
Seen 5 total in Ventura county. Shy little buggers
Man I'm an big animal lover and love these kinds of rescue stories it just makes me forget all the bad things in this world and just I love it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree. There are a lot of unfortunate things going on in the world today.😢 I am happy to when I see that there are still some good things happening.😊
Same here have to watch them to restore my faith in humanity that and I just love animals so much ❤❤❤
He is so cute. Like a cross between a beaver and a muskrat.
Thanks for Sharing this Beautiful video. God bless you all. 🙏❤❤❤
So dang cute 🥰 who can not love any animal? ❤🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽
Did not even know they existed beautiful 😍 ❤
Well....I think he's adorable too:)
I just noticed something I never knew about Nutrias, they have webbed toes only on their back feet, which of course makes perfect sense, as their hands (or front feet) wouldn’t be as well functioning to hold things etc. if the fingers were webbed… Learning something new every day!!! 🤗☺️
He is absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
So cute. 😊😊😊
🤧 aww he's super gorgeous, and cute too, bless you for saving him and giving him a great forever home, with fur siblings. Cracking good video thanks for sharing 🖤😎👍
😍 Thank you for your heartwarming words! Neuty's story is a tale of love and compassion, and it's wonderful to see the positive impact he has. Your support means a lot, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 🌈🦫💕
That's so cute.

What a cutie
What a neuty boy
Such a sweet baby, your husband is a beautiful human being for helping and saving him too 🧡🧡🧡🧡
He's so adorable 🥰.
i'd never heard of a nutria before, but i knew i had to click on the video.
That animal hit the jackpot!
He no longer have to worry about competing over food, dangers in the wild or to find heat during cold periods of the year and he has access to all possible things he could ever need.
That's animal heaven!
He’s such a precious boy 🥺😍❤️
He’s so cute. I’m glad you saved him. God bless you.
I love that the Boyle family on Brooklyn Nine-Nine has these as pets.
Beautiful! Neuty is so very lucky to have found you both! Best wishes and long life to this sweetheart and his wonderful Forever Family! Much love from Seattle! ❤️🌲
Well that is a new one for me... Never heard of nutria before, but what a little charmer!
Like a crat crossed with a beaver. Super cute!

Awww💜💜💜💜
Well that;s just f***ing adorable.
Thank You For Taking Care Of God's animals they need love to
Neuty is so beautiful and has such a lovely nature.
I think he's adorable too!
I've never heard of this species but he is freaking adorable with a BIG personality. He looks like a big muskrat mixed with a beaver. 😁💗
Such a cute little guy!
what happened to the other babies? i hope they were saved and have a good home, i know i would have brought all of them home. i love all of the animals. thank you for saving an animal most people would have killed. FLORIDA has people that hunt them.
Ohhh, God bless the good hearts, thank you, thank you.
Interesting little fellow ... I had never heard of his kind before. He looks a bit like a mix of an otter and a beaver, with the personality of a capybara.
For those who are wondering about the sentence with needing sticks for his teeth ... most rodents' teeth grow continously (and at a surprising rate), so they need to regularly grind them down, or they will become unmanageable and actually keep them from being able to eat.
Very nice video, I like the ones featuring animals which are not typically pets, there's always something to learn.
🤩 Your keen observations are spot on! Neuty's unique blend of features does make him a fascinating mix. And you nailed it about the teeth - regular grinding is essential for many rodents. I'm delighted you enjoyed the video and appreciate the spotlight on non-traditional pets. There's always more to discover in the animal kingdom! 🌍🐾
Thank God for people with hearts like you have❤❤❤❤
what a Neuty hoot and what a voice and conversationalist
Thank you beautiful man.
He is adorable 😊 Thanks for your time
He has a good personality.
❤️🐾
Neuty is so cute and adorable and interesting. I've never heard of a nutria before. They look like a cross between beavers and capybaras. I think Neuty is the sweetest and I love Neuty too❤❤❤❤
💖 Thank you so much for your kind words! Neuty is indeed a unique and adorable character🥰
neuty is such a cute little fella....i think he's not releasable now because of the strong bond with his dad😊😊😊
releasing nutria is a federal crime in US))) Fish and Wildlife agents will have your ass for it. It's a highly invasive animal.
❤️🐾
I'm a new subscriber to your channel, thank you for the study of your little Nutria, I live in England we don't have such wonderful creatures over here and I appreciate the chance to watch you and your Nutria on You Tube - God bless you❤
Vous avez raison il est ADORABLE 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Growing up in south Louisiana on the bayou, my uncle brought me an abandoned Nutria baby. I loved that little guy. He wasn't little for long. We spoiled him rotten ❤😊
He is adorable and lovable
How cool. Great people, neat nutria.
He's adorable!🥰Clearly in the rodent family. I've had rats as pets and a chinchilla too. They need to have their teeth trimmed from time to time. Great pets all in all. I've never heard of a Nutria before. Love those little webbed feet.
😊 You have a great eye! Nutrias are indeed part of the rodent family, and those webbed feet add an extra touch of charm. It's fantastic that you've had experiences with other rodent pets like rats and a chinchilla. They all bring unique joys to our lives.
Never heard of these little guys before they are just gorgeous 😊
We have these little guys all the area but I swear in my 48 years I have yet to see one. Very cute!
This is the sweetest thing ever ❤
VERY CUTE!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Those adorable hands and feeties!
He"s adorable. 😊

I had never known of these. The more I learn about nature and creation, the more I am amazed by the variety and beauty of all. They sure are cute. Every species had a right to exist in peace.
Lived near a small man-made pond and they would drain and clean it occasionally. These dudes would be left hanging out in full view for a day so we would "visit". They would scream like banshees and were terrifying to us kids lol.
