Just saw the interview of Mike Stone's book. Of course he wouldn't take any responsibility for leaving his family but says he was taking responsibility for his action. But some telling things came out of the interview. He said he was so glad he was never involved with Prissy when she put Lisa in Scientology. He said Prissy tried to control Lisa and when Prissy sued Riley he said I had to write my book. He said basically Prissy used him to get away from Elvis and she told him she wanted a Hollywood career and she knew Elvis wouldn't let her.
That was a good interview on Elvis the Ultimate Fan Channel. Mike Stone really seemed disgusted by Prissy suing her own Grandchildren. It pushed him to write his book after 50 years & that says a lot.

Unfortunately, this is how the game is played with these celebrity divorces, custody disputes, etc. Gaining custody of the twins and then being appointed "guardian ad litem" immediately opened the purse strings to the trust. The attorneys are going to get paid. They knew upfront where the money was coming from and that Lockwood, himself, did not have it. They would not have taken the case if they weren't reasonably assured they were going to get paid. Sad, but true.

This wasn't something Riley could reasonably stop- his lawyers wanted to be paid and the judge ruled she had to do it. If she fought it, it would have cost more in fees and probably affected her relationship with her sisters. Lockwood's golden ticket is the twins, so it'll be interesting to see what happens in two years' time.

Unfortunately, Riley's lawyer couldn't do all the work- there was five months of deliberation and negotiation before a deal was reached for everyone to back off Riley/the estate so that's where the other lawyers come in. Well the money does not go to him at all, it goes to his lawyers to cover his legal fees. The court made that decision and it comes out of the twins' interest from their share of the Promenade Trust.

She controls what counts- Priscilla wanted to be trustee AND get a million a year, Riley said no on trustee but compromised on burial and 100k, a far cry from a million. She controls the twins' money. It looks like she chooses her battles and cares about her sisters over the money.
After Lisas passing he described the loss as an unexpected incomprehensible tragedy. Well the money does not go to him at all, it goes to his lawyers to cover his legal fees. The court made that decision and it comes out of the twins' interest from their share of the Promenade Trust.

@@tinaserna-ek4le The only reason Lockwoods getting that money is because the girls are under age right now once they turn 18 He has no say over them once they turn 18 we’ll see what happens, but in Elvis’s last will and trust, he stated that everything was to go to Lisa and that her husbands were not to get any money from his estate.

I’d like to add that Lisa wanted everything to go to her daughters, Lisa also did not want Priscilla to be a part of this process.
Lisa was kind enough to leave some money for her granddaughter, Tupelo, and any other children that Riley might have in the future if Riley decides to have any more.
I'm praying for those two girls. Not so much about the money but the psychological effect this would cause.

Honestly, it goes back to Priscilla and her actions against the Trust. If she had not taken legal action, the situation would have been simple and not as costly. Per Lockwood's attorney, "After Lisa Marie's death, The Promenade Trust was the subject of litigation, primarily focused on who should be the Trustee." "From the onset, Michael and his counsel played a central role in helping keep the parties focused on resolving those issues with minimal court intervention." The twins paid half. I wonder if Riley had to pay the other half? just some thoughts.
I read Riley had to pay Lockwood/his lawyers $188k and the twins pay $95k, I think? He's a horrible person who needs to get an actual job. Every day, I respect Danny Keough more and more, who never took money from Lisa and never betrayed her.

Michael & Priscilla; 2 birds of a feather. Well before her death, Lisa Marie had nothing to do with either one of them; yet, they both literally benefited from her dying. Tragic. Also, it is very hard to believe that Elvis would be 'proud of all of them.' There's a reason Elvis excluded Priscilla from all of his financials including his last wishes.

Hmmm….little Ms. Pris did not follow Lisa Marie’s wishes. Lisa Marie was very specific that she (LM) did not want “a$$hat” at her funeral and yet he was right there front and center along side Ms. Pris. BENEFICIARIES . . .who WILL pay the Tax Rate, corresponds with "their" Income Level. Termination by Trustee, with consent of Beneficiary, by a Court. There's a LOT MORE! You can SEE what Riley is up against. . .the beneficiaries will keep the Trustee in Court for years until there is no money left. PLEASE look up irrevocable trust(s); I'm not writing ANOTHER question I was VERY INTERESTED IN. "HINT" Riley just went through that with the "Fake"; Graceland up for Sale.

Riley cannot control things like Lockwood's suit. He submitted a claim and the court sided with him. She controls what counts- Priscilla wanted to be trustee AND get a million a year, Riley said no on trustee but compromised on burial and 100k, a far cry from a million. She controls the twins' money. It looks like she chooses her battles and cares about her sisters over the money.

The only thing I respect Lockwood for is getting the twins' medical records sealed for court proceedings due to their trauma. Every other move has been marked by greed and laziness and I hope the twins go with their sister once they're out of school.
