  • Herman Mashaba joins the Burning Platform to discuss his points of view on the upcoming EFF ‘National Shutdown’ on Monday, and to respond to Julius Malema’s comments after being slammed at the EFF press conference yesterday. Ian Cameron shares his opinions on several topics, including how South Africa is becoming a mafia state, and how the SAPS have been captured in the process.

I hope Herman (ASA) and Helen (DA) put their differences behind them and get on with it as allies. Great show, thanks folks.

@@Loadedopinions I hear you, but coalition squabbling is also election ammo for ANC/EFF.

@@marwinsing problem is with GoGo Zile, she must just retire. Coalitions worked until she was elected federal leader of the DA. She ousted Mashaba, then everything went to sh!t

Yesterday we drove back to Durban from Mountain Zebra National Park. In every small town what stood out was mess and EFF T-shirts 🙈. And so much poverty 😢

We should ask what is going on in the background while Malema is on centre stage

Mashaba should have explained to Phumi that the constitution prohibits a polygraph being used against anyones will.
If the individual agrees, its not unconstitutional. The whole ActionSA caucus agreed to take the lie detector test.
Michael or the Tshwane caucus leader should have answered that question.
It seems the bribe was not the major point of contention for the lady - it was the violation of constitutional rights- as I explained it was not against anyones will.

Declined the request....fear of being overwhelmed by questions which have no practical, realistic answers ?

By calling HM a clown, Julius may be attempting to shift attention away from his own behavior. This is a common strategy for people who feel uncomfortable with their own flaws or shortcomings and seek to deflect criticism or attention away from themselves.
It is not uncommon for people who feel insecure or guilty about their actions to become violent and intimidating towards others as a way to compensate for these feelings. This behavior is often an attempt to assert control or power over others and to mask or distract from their own vulnerabilities.
Violence and intimidation can also be used as a way to avoid or deflect responsibility for one's own actions. By behaving aggressively towards others, a person may be attempting to shift blame onto them or to justify their own behavior as a necessary response to perceived threats or challenges.
It's important to note that this behavior is not acceptable or justified, and can cause harm to others. People who struggle with these tendencies may benefit from seeking professional help to address their underlying insecurities and emotions in a healthy and productive way.
Ps. I'd actually be excited about a DAEFF coalition. I don't trust either, but both have qualities that I admire, and I feel so lied to and betrayed by the ANC, I don't mind if they take a seat.
I agree with Malema's drive to get the people working. Let's train and workout, one day we'll place a capstone on a pyramid.
I love to see the involvement from local communities and smaller parties.

Say whatever you want about Malema but he is head and shoulders above all of you and your small minds. The EFF's relevance cannot be played down and it will continue to set the tone for political dialog and bring superior logic. Lastly why would the leadership of such important movement degrade itself by indulging you while you are clearly biased towards them?
