Yes! Loved this. And it's also interesting to see how people stitch differently, this was so relaxing and nice to watch. Thank you x

One thought for Autumn Harmony, if you want to do all the fewest colors without moving the hoop constantly, is to position the hoop, work all the sts within the hoop area for all 25ish of the colors you're working on, then move the hoop and repeat. It would probably mean having to park or work with smaller bits of thread, but I'm actually kind of tempted to try it out on one of my pieces :D

I used to get a lot of reading done in parent pick up! 😊 I was stitching along with you this morning, thanks for the great video ❤

What a treat to have an hour to stitch with you. I worked on my Aimee Stewart HAED bookcase. I’m so jealous of your school pickups. I’m in the UK and we have to walk to the school and stand in the playground in all weather. Your way of doing it sounds much nicer!

I use the Atom Heart bobbins for my master set. The threads go on them like a floss drop but then you can wrap them around the bobbin. And they fit in the bobbin box. It is just much easier to pull off floss as needed. I would suggest doing some of those smaller color numbers. Otherwise you will get to the end and have only scattered stitches to do.

Great progress! I got quite a bit of the fill in done on my fountain statues. Always good to have a bit of fill in for watching floss tube, but it's on 32 count one over one, so now I need to rest my eyes!
Re the scroll frames and swapping projects. Got around the limitation by having my father in law make several sets of just the roller rods in the lengths I like best. Keep the fabric mounted on the roller rods, move the side bars and knobs around to as many projects as you like. Just roll up the project like a torah with the back side of the fabric facing out and pop a couple of hair elastics on the metal bits in the ends of the rollers to keep it nicely packaged. They won't fit in project bags that way, though. But I only have a half dozen projects in progress at any one point, so to me a project is 'scroll bars/q snap plus project bag'. I have accumulated enough side bars and knobs over the years to be able to leave a project on the scroll bars throughout.
As far as floss. I can't stand dangling threads, so floss drops, floss pallets and the parking method are right out for me. I use bobbins for storage of uncut lengths, but put the bobbin (and any cut lengths) in floss away bags once I start a project with it. Since I only have those half dozen projects, any overlap in colors is acceptable. I'm also OK with discarding any cut lengths that I don't use by the end of a project into the 'cookie tin of randomness' that I use for casual surface embroidery projects.

Really enjoyed this video. The issue with stitching the stitches with the smallest left is it takes a lot more time, so maybe do a few then go to a bigger number to get your target. X

It was a good Stitch With Me today. I enjoyed hearing you thoughts on plans for next year as well as the process of deciding how to store floss. I think you should avoid starting projects by doing all black on all of them - you weren’t very happy earlier when black was all you were stitching…. Speaking of black reminds me of your son’s request for black socks. You might only knit on those in daylight. Many knitters have sworn off knitting black anything just because it can be hard to see stitches when knitting black yarn. I think if you knit in daylight you will be fine. Have a great week.

I dunno if you watch Small Town Stitches, but Leann is a big full coverage stitcher as well & she swears by using CXC now. She’s talked in her videos about an aliexpress company that sells it; something about they’ll send you a sheet to fill out for all the numbers you want so it’s not having to add them all to a cart individually. Not sure on the wait time, but she swears by it!

Lovely to listen to, I didn’t stitch with you but you kept me company at work 🥰
You are dangerous tho lol I added yet another pattern to my wishlist, the herbalist helper pattern from Ivy Dolamore, her artwork is stunning and I shall be keeping an eye out for more patterns lol
If you are contemplating getting back into scroll frames, I’ve recently started watching Maria the Green Stitcher and she has a really cool stand for scroll frames that I’m now interested in getting lol
I’m with you on the thread storage, I’m still trying to find my ideal way to store them but I’m like you, I want to have my thread for each project with each project cuz I was the same, I ended up with loads of the same skeins because they were all in different project bags

I usually stitch the light colours first as when you start pulling the skin colour through the red you will end up with red fluff on your skin colour.

it's so fascinating to see how the colours of the threads change depending on their surroundings - I have so much 154 in my current pattern as well, but because it's surrounded by purples, it reads much more purple. Here it reads so red because of the beautiful reds and oranges! Really makes you think about how much thought and skill is put into choosing thread colours for patterns.

This was fun! I am also already thinking about next year and starts and plans and weeding my current full coverages and goals, just all the things. I have moved to nurge hoops also, LOVE THEM, qsnaps have their place but I am shocked at how much I love the Nurge, I think the size 2 and 3 are best personally b/c I think the 4 is a little too chonky! Happy Stitching :)

I’ve started taking all my active projects and giving them a jump forward goal, I choose the next percentage benchmark. Every project gets a goal, but once the goal is reached, I move the project to the side so every goal on the list is finished before I swing back around to the projects that had their goals completed first.
For projects I want to finish earlier, I give a bigger goal. And sometimes
I’ll take a month off and do a one-off goal. Like I have a single project goal for July with a specific number of stitches. I also try to hit at least 10k stitches in a project before I start another so I don’t just have a bunch of tiny starts. Still working out what works best for me, but this seems to be the closest that works for me. I also stated older WIP Fridays for my Autumn Harmony actually. Hopefully she’ll be done next year. I also list out a few projects. I want to finish every year so I don’t just have starts. I was doing really well on not doing a bunch of starts but I lost myself in the last few months and went wild.

Well, hi! I'm in the same WIPGO group as you. I'm doing my WIPGO as pages. The chart has 36 pages and is called is Four Seasons, artwork by Jacek Yerka. I'm doing pages 2 and 25. The goal is to do 1000 stitches each.

Haha It's me again I have another question 🤪 it might be hard to explain though... I'll try my best! So i've started doing the pin stitch method for ending because it can get covered over but as you start to work out towards a finished edge and there's less places to pin stitch and hid it should I just change method and start threading the remaining end into the back of stitches again? I was just something that crossed my mind as I'm doing my first small full coverage. And thank you again for helping with some tips and sharing the knowledge. 😊
