I'm still loving the weekly videos :) I've had times when I've not been able to get out the blue pen, or the dmc easy grid red lines. On one project i did a tiny dot of frixion pen to mark the 10x10 corners. That worked well. Now I sew in grid lines with sulky sliver. Takes ages!
Just as obsessed with Emily and the Karen Reed trial! Been stitching and having it on the TV, I even have gotten my boyfriend interested! Love your progress on the mini gamer, I'm currently stitching on the gamer (the bigger piece). Hoping to get to the end of the top row this year! Happy Stitching!
Great progress on Autumn Harmony. Your socks are beautiful! I no longer wear commercial socks, as I can’t stop knitting socks. I had to stop the video and buy Hobbit House!

I've been watching Emily D Baker's trial coverage too. I'm replay crew since I don't live in the USA, but I get so much stitching done while watching (Mostly Listening lol) to her. This case is wild, I wish the Commonweath wouldn't call every single witness and their spouse onto the stand.

I am also a ribbing hater, but I love the way it looks so I suffer through it haha. I've been knitting since I was 11 but I only just attempted socks last year and ever since then I've been obsessed with sock knitting as well. My goal is to build up so many socks that I'll never need store bought socks again lol

I like your plan to stitch the characters on Little Gamer when you can and switch to the background when your attention isn’t fully on your stitching. I do that with knitting. 😉. Thanks so much for answering my gridding questions. I had heard (on flosstube tubes) a few stitchers say that they avoid gridding for fear of the grid lines not going away and I think for me grid lines would be necessary. I’m glad to hear that you like your socks and I hope you get your daughter’s second sock finished soon. You can knit some shortie socks for wearing in the warmer weather and get 2 pair from one skein of yarn. 😊 have a good holiday weekend and try to get some knitting and stitching in while you do other things. 🎉🎊💥💫

I started again a few years ago but for a shorter stint and I've picked it up again more recently and loving it so much it's something I can do when all other crafts zap my energy levels :) However I'm fairly new and I keep wondering what is tent stitch? You mention it when you speak of certain projects and I wanted to get more clued up on new techniques 🤗 Thanks! I'm currently working on a full coverage DMC Gustav Klimt's The Kiss, a Stardew Sampler, a Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery Once upon a time Sampler and I'm going to start getting the flosses for my first MedusaDollWorks soon. I'm very excited about doing such a big chart but also overwhelmed it's going to be massive haha.
Hello! Tent stitch is basically just a half cross. I use it on larger full coverage charts because you still get good coverage on 25/28 counts but it goes faster because you aren't doing the top leg of the stitch. I had not realised or even though of doing a cross stitch has only half stitches, which is basically what you do for tapestries but I'd not thought to carry that technique over haha. I guess you'd have to use a higher count fabric so that the coverage was good. I might have to try this at some point. I love gridding for my fabric it’s so much easier to stitch and not worrying on where you are at. But I’m a little crazy on gridding a 28 count evenweave with red thread to it stands out. (2x2) 😅😂😂
