He just wasn't swinging well off the tee, right from the beginning of the final round. I'm sure the slow pace doesn't help, but him unable to hit hardly any fairways doesn't give him a chance at Augusta on the final day.

Therefore, I hope that you learn to play slow if needed and do what is necessary to win the tournament and make a mental adjustment and enjoy the moment.
I wonder how much of a factor playing only 54 holes played in his collapse? The more the LIV players get accustomed to only playing 54, the more, I believe, they will struggle to win majors.
I heard Jack tell someone that he never had a 3 putt! I’m sure he’s had many but chose to never remember them. Forget the shot on 9 early. Carrying that shot with him was his undoing!

I totally agree with you! I had a bad taste for him leaving. But the way he went about business and his interviews, show a very professional, classy Brooks Koepka!
Brooks is excellent early in majors. The calm cool collected mentality works great there. But the last 27 holes, he has to get more pumped up and get the crowd into it. He is too cool for school there and the moment seems to get to him.
The first 2 days, he had his old swagger back, he looked like he did at his US Open championships. Then, he seemed to lose it, he was fighting to make shots instead of relaxing and letting it happen. But, that's golf and we've all been there and done that. I'm hoping he dominates the Open, US Open, and PGA this year.
Hovland hit out of turn twice as a hurry up. He's not the problem. Bennett was a bit slow but understandable. Cantlay is a tool. Saw him stand back from so many shots I had to stop watching him. I would have lost my religion and bombed one into him before the back 9 started if I was playing.
MLB now has a pitch clock, maybe the Masters could put a similar large clock near each green and time each golfer, like 1 minute max to hit a putt when it's his turn under a 1 stroke penalty. Nah, it'll never happen .
I knew it! He inadvertantly read Spieth 6 under, when addressing LIV performers and earlier Spieth commented that he believes he's playing too much golf. Jordan Spieth is headed to LIV. Heard it here first sports fans! From the front row! And yes, he commented Cameron Young because Brooks is a smart guy. He realized his mistake so he mentioned Young so that he could claim he was speaking inclusively, should the slip be caught, (aka producing on the fly in radio business) but then directly went to me and ... Were the only two that shot over...
I wonder if Koepka suffered from playing 54 hole tournaments with LIV as against 72 hole tournaments with the PGA. I've played some competitive golf as a junior, and there's no doubt that acclimating to four round tournament play is very very different to playing in shorter events.
Wish the LIV fans were as classy as Brooks! Well done this week! Just remember if it weren’t for the PGA and DP tours giving them platforms LIV wouldn’t have ever come around!! Saudis are buying there way into Europe and the US! It’s not LIV tour it’s Saudi Tour! Brooks is a class act!
You wanna know why he lost??!! He lost because he wasn't in shape. 2 rounds had to be played on Sunday. Ppl, that's a lot of Golf, & the strains on your body. Brooks Koepka just ran out of gas right after starting the 4th round. If he incorporates a Boxing training program, just 40 minutes/day, X6 days/week, & what happen @ the Masters; him running out of gas, that will never happen to him again. That's what it takes to become a Champion in any Sport, going further than your competition. Boxing Training for me has saved my Life. I never get sick, I didn't come down with covid-19, & Boxing allowed me to graduate from Law School, & Boxing allowed me to win 97% of the time in court, because I prepared as if it was my Title Fight, I trained, & studied, & my court files were always immaculate.

The media fueled division needs to be called out more. Its largely propaganda coming from PGA or LIV that isn't real in that locker room. These guys really seem to enjoy the competition when everyone is in one place.
How does he know the club Rahmbo hit so often?? I mean it might be common to pick up what the guy in your group is hitting before you but I dunno that's why I'm asking.
Probably just hear them talk about a shot and say I like a “7” here. Or you can see while on the tee which club is missing. From the bag or what they put back in the bag. As for commentators they get the info from the commentator on the ground walking with the group.

He played well..but Rahm was hitting everything! He couldn't miss! Was rooting for Brooks butWell deserved win for Rahm
Gutted for Brooks…great to see him back
Who doesn't love Brooksie!? 👍
Was a great 54 holes!
I wonder how much of a factor playing only 54 holes played in his collapse? The more the LIV players get accustomed to only playing 54, the more, I believe, they will struggle to win majors.
Totally agree!
I do wonder if the 54 hole LIV format held Brooksie back on keeping his foot on the gas for 72
I heard Jack tell someone that he never had a 3 putt! I’m sure he’s had many but chose to never remember them. Forget the shot on 9 early. Carrying that shot with him was his undoing!
His injuries are pretty much behind him and he's back to form. Played well. Maybe it's been so long since he's played a 4th round that had meaning, he just wasn't used to the pressure.
Wasn't used to 4th round? Seriously dumb comment. 3 LIV players are n the top 5! Jon Rahm just played better. That's golf.
@@tuzaguilar4201 He tailed off. Should have won it. Do you play golf at all?
@@tuzaguilar4201 Fatrick Reed doesn't count, he probably improved his lie sometime during the tournament
Hard to see but when Rahm won like that there had to be the "victim" but congratulations Brooks👏👏...also the wa Phil played today was amazing 65..
You do realize Brooksy shot 73-75 over the weekend right? Rahm played decent (-1 over the weekend) but hardly payed unbeatable golf.
You replying to me? Guy above stated that he lost because group before him played too slow? This can't be the reason its really poor excuse.. well my friend before the storm they playe what 4 holes of 3rd round and Brooks was -14 and Rahm -9... put my comment in context
There's 100% chance that Brooks Koepka will win a green jacket at some point in the future. Especially if they address the outrageous issue with the slow pace of play during the final round.
A humble Brooksie. Ill take it!
Humble? The guy shoots a 75 and he still sys “I didn’t do too much wrong” and blames bad luck for his poor play. Same old Brooksy.
@@aland2465 lol how did you see it that way?
@@kylenussbaum5 Because that is exactly what he said, listen again.
@@aland2465 How does that take away from him being humble? lol he literally said he didn't play his best and gave Rahm lots of praise. If you don't like Brooks just say that.
The real winner here is LIV. Out of 18 only 3 missed cut. 2 wds. Everyone else finished in the money. Seems like a strong argument for an invite only guaranteed money type situation.
Ask Rory 🤣🤣🤣 what he thinks about that
Yeah, the top players are just so put-upon. They need to be pampered and protected more.
Only LIV fans think it's LIV vs PGA. It's not. These guys just want to win
@@GooseDuck-ft4ko I’m pro golf. I hope both sides are able to work it out because I wanna watch all those guys compete against each other. It’s these systems that are the issue
Was really pulling for him today
Really respect Brooks. Doesn't wear a mask in front of the media. Speaks very honestly without always trying to appease everyone. A bit unlucky this week but great to see him healthy and playing great golf in his last few tournaments. Hope to see him in the rest of this year's majors.
This was his Master's to lose and lose he did.
When playing in a tournament you have to make adjustments/decisions and they can and often result in uexpected results. Remember, " patience is a virtue".
Huge respect to Brooks for giving this interview when he must be feeling so disappointed. Also like the way he wasn't dragged into the politics of LIV Vs PGA
He's a class act in his interview, all respect to him.
Great interview! We miss all you guys!
THE BETTER GOLFER WON THAT DAY! VERY SIMPLE.
The best man one in the end,❤
Top 5 🤔 2-3 liv players 🎉🎉❤
Winners are grinners ...ohh
Team golf is for family & friends. It is clear that it hurt the play of the liv players. I can't say that I have missed Koepka because I have not. Great win for Jon Rahm. Shalom
What are you talking about? 3 of the top 5 were LIV golfers. 13/16 made the cut.
Meanwhile ole Rory and JT were watching the weekend from home.
It’s never easy to close with Rahm breathing on your back.
its never easy to close on the tour period, rahm is definitely not the most imposing final day player
@@brekkoh He's got few weaknesses, and he's improving. Additionally, he's not addicted to more length, which leads to unpredictable yardages. That's basically what Rory has been dealing with. It's great off the tee with a driver, but irons that go an extra ten yards etc...it's death at Augusta.
@@brekkoh ok keep living in your own world
It'd be really a shame if players like Brooke won't be compete in 2025 Masters .
That 🐼 Daytona though 🔥🔥🔥
real deep guy...
what group was immediately in front of Koepka and Rahm?
Looks like pga golfers are still the best
Great respect to Rahm. As for LIV they had 3 players finish in the top 4 spots. At this level playing against to best players in the world, LIV looks pretty strong to me.
@@coobay4786 you let me know when they win a major
@@scotteduzntno8671 got news for you. Phil and Keopka have already won a boat load among others at LIV. As athletes at the top level, they didn't lose their skills just because they don't play for the PGA. Some people are just plain stupid, and it appears you're one of them. Maybe you should start following high school golf. It sounds more like your speed.
@justthefactsmaam sign me up. 120 million for 3 years (27 tournaments left) plus tournament winnings. I'm in engineering and have done plenty of projects for ARAMCO over the years. I wish they'd have given me a contact for half the size of Keopka's.
I honestly think waiting on Patrick and Hovland all day got into his pacing that he needs
One of the best masters ever. Coming into the week it was LIV vs PGA but we all saw first hand the media pushed that narrative. These guys are still friends and just want to win. Great playing Brooks
Cantlay and Hovland are so slow dude
*Cantlay
Hovland is a fast player. But he cannot play faster than his partner
Tom kim is slower
Hovland hit out of turn twice as a hurry up. He's not the problem. Bennett was a bit slow but understandable. Cantlay is a tool. Saw him stand back from so many shots I had to stop watching him. I would have lost my religion and bombed one into him before the back 9 started if I was playing.
@@drewkil9219 *Cantplay
They need to speed up the game, no more Cantlay spending 15 minutes reading a green only to miss badly.
MLB now has a pitch clock, maybe the Masters could put a similar large clock near each green and time each golfer, like 1 minute max to hit a putt when it's his turn under a 1 stroke penalty. Nah, it'll never happen .
Could someone tell me the name of the guy interviewing brooksy
I knew he was in trouble with his tee ball on #1 in the last round. Nerves. Now he can carry this back to LIV and clean house.
More a mental pressure thing, going out with the lead. He had this kind of let down before LIV.
Brooks is a class act!
class
Too bad the PGAT had to ban guys getting massive paydays from LIV from playing. It’s the PGA Tour (and it’s globohomo benefactors) that’s causing this rift. Wish Brooks would have won.
Drove the ball crooked last 27 holes. Choked
People who used that word has never competed in anything.
Guys have been really tough on Brooks. The guy tied for 2nd!!! Bro killed it.

Was brooks the only LIV guy not repping his squad?
He’s still under contract with Nike.
I think that Brooks didn’t have as much endurance as Jon, tiredness I personally think contributed but overall great to see Brooks back to playing well
3 round tournaments wont help
Yeah don't think his endurance had anything to do with it
Non Competitive environment for the last year wont help
Wow I wanted him to win that green jacket
Never imagined him vapor locking with a lead.
Its golf pal
Too bad the weather made an impact
The media fueled division needs to be called out more. Its largely propaganda coming from PGA or LIV that isn't real in that locker room. These guys really seem to enjoy the competition when everyone is in one place.
How does he know the club Rahmbo hit so often?? I mean it might be common to pick up what the guy in your group is hitting before you but I dunno that's why I'm asking.
Hmmm... Wonder how the commentators know which club the player hits?
Probably just hear them talk about a shot and say I like a “7” here. Or you can see while on the tee which club is missing. From the bag or what they put back in the bag. As for commentators they get the info from the commentator on the ground walking with the group.
Given what happened Thursday with woodlands caddie I thought it just sounded weird he was so open to talk about how he knew Rahms club and almost insinuating he knew b4 he played his shot
They all know. They all look. They tell the on course commentators.
@@mattkramer8006 He did it on purpose to point out how absurd it all is. All the players know what each other are hitting and the caddy’s look at each other’s bags. It’s so common it’s ridiculous they would try to penalize someone for it.
Can just listen to Brooks and Dustin all day talk to the media, unpretentious, honest, to the point
one of the slowest rounds ive watched live, wrecks your momentum for sure
Is it possible that only playing 3 rounds on the LIV tour, Brooks ran out of gas in round 4?
Hovland could of won this if he wasn’t paired with Count Slackula
The ball on 9 had no right to sit there like that, If that just dribbles onto the green it was going to be inside 5 feet fir birdie instead it just died. I couldn't believe that.
