Just discovered Sleep Token at Tech Fest. Stood there in wide eyed wonderment at the beauty occurring before me. I had forgotten what it was like to fall in love with music...
I was there too. Truly a surreal experience. One of the best sets of the entire festival. Absolute perfection.
Found out about them 2 days ago flipping through an old Metal Hammer article about that same show. I'm from the states and we get Metal Hammer here. Best music magazine ever! (I don't even read American music mags anymore, Metal Hammer or nothing) But absolutely love this band, the most original shit I've seen in years.

For heavy music, this band actually helps me fall asleep. That’s a compliment! I feel so relaxed and comforted while playing their music. Even Gods is one I’ll listen to while falling asleep. Their music just lulls me into a sense of comfort and happiness.

I went to a show recently for the first time since I was a teenager. I wasn't expecting to even enjoy it they had an extra ticket and I went to just get out of the house. As soon as SLEEP TOKEN started playing I was shocked. I have been binging every song I could find since then. I don't know what it is but this music touches my soul. It's so beautiful. Please keep making music this has literally saved me. I was so depressed and I swear this music is giving me life. 😭 Words can not explain.

A lot of people are saying this song is about a girl, however I’d like to add my own take. I think it’s about vessel, but from his own perspective. As if he were having a conversation with what he’s become. What does the “pretty white jaws” statement mean? Well perhaps he’s referencing his own mask as vessel. The jaws on it are HUGE, and wait for it… also white. Where the delicate stops? Last I checked, sleep token can go from delicate to VICIOUS awfully quickly. I believe he’s reflecting on how he’s poured the darkest parts of himself into a new entity, and is conversing with that other part of himself. Worship
This is a pretty good interpretation, makes sense too. I saw this song as having to show who you really are to come to an understanding with each other and to truly love them. Exposing yourself to someone you care about, regardless of how ugly your past may be. Idk, kind of some personal life stuff that I attached to it lol. This is how I got really attached to this song, the words spoke to me.
That's what I have been saying. "I'm not here to be the savior you long for only the one you dont" meaning he doesn't want to embrace the dark depressed angry side but that's how he is processing it, whether he likes it or not
Like any truly well written song it can be interpreted in a myriad of ways depending upon the subject listening. This interpretation is pretty good though. I like it and it makes sense.
Absolutely 100%. I think this is a conversation with his self about who he is, where he pain lies, and what it is to him and how it’s a part of him right around the edges that hide behind his mask. Like we all do, but it’s definitely invoking looking deep and exposing yourself to yourself
i love how Sleep Token has a mysterious lore and the music being an offer to Sleep but, AT THE SAME TIME, brings true feelings and emotion to the musics, if you dont know, they saved a lot of people that was struggling with toxic relationships for what i heard.
The thing about this mv is that not just magical, its somehow represents Vessel with Sleep. Someone being with a toxic person.

I remember hearing this song for the first time at Download Festival 2018, I was absolutely mesmerised by what I was seeing and hearing. I literally felt like the only person in the room, there wasn't a moment where I didn't have goosebumps and I felt whole again. I urge you to see this band live if you can...

It was very extreme with Octavarium by Dream Theater. Listened to it, didn't really like it, and i let it settle for TWO YEARS. So a few months ago i listened again and it is awesome. One of my all time favorites, like every Sleep Token song will be.
