Hi, welcome to Thai with Grace. My name is Grace. I am from Thailand and I’ve been teaching Thai for over ten years. I am a language learner myself and I can speak over 10 languages (check out my Polyglot channel here: / @polyglotgrace )
In this channel, I upload videos for everyone who wants to learn Thai. The videos are about Thai grammar, Thai expressions, Thai vocabulary, Thai travel vlogs, stories in Thai, and more. You’ll find content for beginners - advanced learners.
What makes my videos special is that 99% of my videos are all spoken in Thai and they include English, Thai, and transliteration subtitles. So you get to learn Thai through Thai!

Another wonderful lesson. I said it before - these are really excellent for pre-intermediate learners who may have the vocabulary but not the grammar to use it. Thank you! 🙏
There are two Georgian restaurants here in Bangkok, Grace! They both also serve Russian food
nice. I will check it out. I went to Georgia last year and I enjoyed the food and the wine
I’m in Esaan right now and loving it so much. People are so friendly and kind and are very happy to see farang. Just joined a birthday party with locals and had the best time! Eating, drinking, , karaoke, dancing, eating, laughing, speaking Thai, eating. What an experience.
Nice I will go to esaan in a few weeks
@ wonderful! Enjoy
Don't you mind the smoke there?@@thaiwithgrace9231
Thank you. I enjoy learning Thai your way!
Well said khun Grace.
When I first visited Thailand 1990 Phuket was Thailand.
Later I lived and worked in Phuket from 2005 until 2012. Operating a small restaurant and guest house on Rawai Beach. It was when I sold I knew Phuket was no longer Thailand.
The locals have become jaded by many factors, above all poorly behaving farang tourist and expats cause the locals to loose their Thai culture and began to act more like foreigners.
For most tourists it's still a good destination but anyone who expects to experience traditional Thai cultural ways of genuine kindness and hospitality may be disappointed.
Unfortunately many places around the world have become this way. Mass tourism has adversely affected many communities.
I'm glad I got to experience many countries around this planet beforehand.
Now my feelings about travelling have changed. Not just Thailand, tourist destinations around the world.
I still love Thailand.
There's still many places to go to but it's becoming difficult to avoid crowds. Especially since youtubers and social media.
Grace thank you for giving me the opportunity to practise and increase my limited Thai language skills. 🙏
Hi Grace, thank you so much for making these videos they are interesting and great learning. I have only just noticed the links in the description and have purchased one of your conversation courses to try.😊
Thank you. I hope you like it
Your videos help me a lot to practice the language 😊 Thank you very much!!!
Thank you, Grace. Keep up the good work. That beach was far too crowded, not a very calm and tranquil atmosphere. Maybe have to go in low season, if there even is a low season for Maya Bay.
Hi Grace, we chat by email this week. I libe Phuket and agree with your review. If you like to climb nearby Krabi is the place to go. Also Phangna north of Phuket has miles of empty beaches and also good cycling routes if you are interested. I do find really good Thai peoplewho nelp me practice my Thai in Phuket but I would add that a lot of the workers are from Myanmar andmay not speak Thai. Best wishes
Grace, I've followed your videos for years, and am a big fan. But, I disagree with some of your assessment. I love travelling to Thailand and Phuket has become my favourite place. I've been many times and it's great for a relaxing holiday (Although, quite expensive as you mention). My favourite thing to do is, of course, befriend Thai working on the island. Coffee shop staff, restaurant staff, spa staff, etc. Anyone and everyone. I find that Thai people here are even more surprised and even more open when they hear a foreigner speaking Thai. Somewhere like Bangkok, it's common. Whenever I spoke Thai in Bangkok it was never met with surprise. So, I would say the amount of foreigners that have some Thai speaking capabilities in Phuket is extremely low, which can make for some interesting interactions. I've also made many friends who I still communicate with while I'm back home in UK.
Phuket gets a negative rep because of it being overpriced, relatively high amount of sex work, and home to some very disrespectful tourists, but the island is still a beautiful one with nice amenities and plenty of areas that are away from the madness.
Btw if you enjoy rock climbing I'm surprised you haven't yet made a video climbing around Railay beach, Krabi.
Thank you. Yes there are many beautiful areas. I mostly didn’t enjoy Patong.
My last night, I stayed near the airport and enjoyed it there a lot more.
I'd like to join your message. When I speak Thai in Phuket, I often see a much more friendly attitude towards myself. Thus, I managed to negotiate with locals about various services for very reasonable prices and have some quite pleasant conversations, which is hardly possible for tourists without any knowledge of the language. At the same time, non-tourist Thailand is much more pleasant for me, and Thais in non-tourist areas on average behave much more friendly. Tourists themselves are to blame for this, because they often behave arrogantly and rudely towards locals.
To be honest, I really don't like Phuket. It's a very expensive region, with little original Thai left. My parents sometimes fly to Phuket on vacations, so I come there to join them. Every time there I have a not very pleasant impression of the prices, communication with tourists and local Thais, who don't really like foreigners (and there are reasons for that, of course). Fortunately, the most of the time I spend in central Thailand, with much greater pleasure. Thank you for the nice video!
How do you say then „I do it anyway“ (in case I’m not allowed to do something). อยู่แล้ว seems not to work here.
It’s ‘ยังไงก็จะทำ‘
It’s like saying, I wil do it anyhow.
อยู่แล้ว doesn’t translate directly to English. Only sometimes, it means anyways.
ยังไงก็จะทำ กับเธอ ❤
I've zero interest in going to Phuket. Too many Russians and Chinese, probably the 2 worst tourists there is. The Thai government though gives these 2 countries as much help as possible, it seems, to come to Thailand for longer than other people without caring the impact this has on areas except how much they can line their own pockets, sadly.
Hm westerner jealous Russians and Chinese is stealing his Thai women. Also you know Thai people come from southern china right? Or are you just white?
Although I am from Russia, I find it very unpleasant to observe the behavior of Russian tourists in Thailand, and I try not to visit Phuket so as not to see all this disgrace.
I agree, but let's keep it a secret😂
100 percent agree and I'm Russian!!
@@ekaptsvI agree, I'm also Russian living in Bangkok
