    Thank you for this wonderful Thai listening practice, Khun Grace. We also love Japan for its food and for the polite and pleasant nature of the Japanese. Have a wonderful Sunday! 🙏

    Grace. Just wanted to say you are a fantastic teacher. Thank you for modifying your mobile AP to have a slow listening option. Also I love the way you show the literal translation. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone do that and it is really helping me with not only my understanding sentence structure but also helping my writing. 💙🙏

    thanks Grace, perfect for my level.
    My thai girlfriend and i returned from bpai tio Yipun in August. She loved it as well. to add contrast, a couple of things that were a little awkward, they don't smile or chit-chat, we jokingly called Thailand the land of a thousand smiles and Japan the land of one smile. also, they don't like pictures, while poo ying kon thai love to take pictures of everything and post on social media. especially the temple. omb so many thai women spend more time taking selfies and pictures of each other than they do praying. i only went to one temple in Tokyo, didn't see any Japanese taking pictures.

    Great video, i like it because for me i learn best by listening to the target language (not having it explained to me in english). If possible a little faster might help (closer to natural speed). Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the video, yes love Japan also but on safety, I often forget bicycles mostly ride on the pavement together with pedestrians, so easy to get knocked over by one, especially when coming out of a shop, 7-wen family mart etc. They can travel really fast.

    I listened again and took notes of the new words I learned:
    kon daa raa = celebrities
    Dtoi = stung (like by a bee) or punch/boxing?
    het Pon = reason
    lam bak = difficult
    Joan = until (age) until I was 17
    ruueang nee = this story
    Briap tee-ap = compare
    Khun kuuuey = familiar with

    I always thought there seems to be a lot of similarities between Thai and Japanese cultures. The politeness, respect for others, quiet, and the smiles that hide private feelings, and indirect communication style. One interesting thing I realized while learning Thai is the word for cilantro in Japanese is also "pakuchii" from of course Thai Pakchi (though most Japanese don't like eating it)

    • @thaiwithgrace9231
      @thaiwithgrace9231  Месяц назад +1

      Koreans also don't like Pakchi lol. Thai always think that Japanese are really nice and helpful. Even more so Than Thai people.

    At 0:18 in the video, are you using "maa tiieow" instead of "Bpai thiieow" because you are already in Japan? So, if you were in Thailand, you would use "bpai thiiew?" Kapkhun krap, Kun Grace.
