    Strava is an integral part of my cycling so glad they keep improving and more than happy to pay to help sustain this fantastic tool. Works out at well under 5% of my annual cycling budget (tyres, bike servicing, consumables, fuel, annual training camp, British cycling membership etc..). Wish those who want something for nothing thought the same.

    I’m a road cyclist. Paid Strava subscription. I am considering quitting Strava all together or unfollowing several people. I want to see cycling. However, Strava has become like FaceBook. I have people posting walks, Tai Chi, swimming, shovelling the driveway (seriously), working out at the gym. I even had one guy playing the guitar and posted it on Strava because it was a finger work out! WTF

    • @SonnyDarvishzadeh
      @SonnyDarvishzadeh 21 день назад +1

      Valid point, but that's really into smart features / AI. Their website pages take over a second to load each time and that's known to be a trivial web performance topic that they have left since the beginning.
      Also, when recording with a smartwatch for example, you can use "Bike Commute" profile and strava will mark it as commute when the file is synced from the watch.

    • @BS-xs7jb

    Needs a feature to work out that a MTB on a roof rack cannot take a road section KOM... I've been sad enough to flag a few ridiculous KOM's, and it seems to disappear instantly without them even querying it with the offender...or, do they just remove it from MY page so I think it's been done, would someone else then looking at that segment still see the offender??

    I just use Strava to record the distances I ride and the overall time. Auto stop and start works when it wants and segment times are useless as the signal can take seconds to record your location and give false readings. Take care using it as trying to beat your own and other peoples segment times can lead to risk taking, endangering yourself and others. On a brighter note, there's going to be weather tomorrow.
