Hey man. I bought and read this some months ago. I wasn't impressed initially but when I re-read it I was blown away. Re-reads are so important before giving a true verdict on most things. Art in all its forms, once set, never changes but we do.
I’m happy your mind was changed! This was one of my favourite reads of 2022, largely due to the character work. I was so impressed by how Brubaker and Rucka made such memorable protagonists out of characters that normally wouldn’t be given a second thought in other series. You get attached to the characters and it makes the story hit that much harder.
Oh man, I feel like Grant Morrison writing Gotham Central would be pretty funny. I can see it already: “So the GCPD got blasted across seven alternate realities…”
@@SuperFlyComicsGuy haha yeah that wouldn’t work , I just got a bit tired of super hero “realism” too much , Gotham central would make a great series for TV , would be funny if had law and order format but super villains were in it
This is not only the best DC omnibus for me, but most probably one the best omnibus ever in my collection! When u have 2 of d very best crime writers in d industry, brubaker n Rucka then u know ur getting urself a masterpiece. N d magic is, they achieved this without batman himself! Great vid n review mate, watching this makes me wanna re-read it again (n thanks with my already increasing backlogs n current reading pile!). May ur ch n contents grow, peace n love from Malaysia. Cheers!

I’d rather read Chuck Dixon or Grant Morrison, but it was a cool angle on things

Haha I’d watch that. Apparently WB was working on a GCPD spinoff show from The Batman, but I think that’s been put on hold indefinitely
It's definitely one of them. When it comes to content and build quality even.
It’s really close to being a perfect omnibus in my eyes. Thanks for watching!
Great book! Every story was a winner!

Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words! Happy reading! 😁
Such a great book, thanks for the review!
Thank you for watching! 🙂
What about Cat Woman omnibus by Ed Burbaker?
I own it, but I haven’t read it yet!
Harvey Bullock is prominent in this book ??
Not really, to be honest. He’s mentioned every now and then, and he does briefly appear in one of the story arcs, but it’s quite minimal
