Its a surprisingly well-preserved Frontier Fort that I volunteered at a couple decades ago. And if you're hungry, let me recommend La Fonda in Deming, NM. I would love to see that, but I have Hangcon the previous weekend. I miss the Lone Star Trail. Please try and get some video, even if you have to hide a new fangled video camera in a old Brownie box-style camera.
The channel has kind of exploded a bit since I did the SVEA video. I'm averaging about 1000 viewers a day now where a month ago I was happy to get 200. That ain't Shug Emory numbers, but a big improvement (I don't know how long it will keep up). RUclips pays monthly if you make over $100 in a month, and quarterly if you make less. On the 26th they should put a deposit in my bank account that will cover two months of less than $100 (way less), and November which has gone over. That money is going to get us a new camera that is perfect for the trail and for filming events like this where we want to be unobtrusive with our newfangled gear. I won't be able to use the flying camera to follow on the trail, but the new camera is the next best thing---as long as I can figure out how all the features. I'll do a video on it once I have things figured out.
