loved it thanks again. PLEASE do a tutorial on your intro card, it's awesome! or at least the part between 0:09 and 0:11 seconds where the colored lines go from squares to broken waves, that was sick.
Hi! Great tutorial loved it! Just had a problem..... at 08:10 when you click fill, it fills just your outline, for me it fills up the entire view, any idea where I'm going wrong?
Thank you!!!! I have been trying to figure out how to get outlines like this in AE for days now! I was using Cinema 4Ds Sketch and Toon shader but it adds some difficulty/time. So thanks again!
Thanks for this! Wish it didn't require so many hacks but thanks for showing us. BTW is the line softening, blurring etc still needed if we apply turbulent displace at the end?
This tutorial was insanely easy to follow lol but THANK YOU as someone who works in 2d explainers a lot using this a quick template will save soooooo much time
Hi, thanks for this amazing tutorial. I have a problem with the animation. It’s not the text moving but the extrusion:( can someone help me to correct this? Pleaaaaase 😅
There is. This tutorial is way too complicated to do something very simple. Twirl open your 3D text -> Animate -> Side -> Color -> RGB (there are other options besides side you'll want to play with as well) That being said, the workflow of this tutorial has a few interesting steps which I may end up using in the future, so at least there's that.
This is so great! People like you should get more views and publicity
Thanks for such kind words! Hopefully the channel continues to grow so I can carry on making tutorials!
Amazing tutorial, extrusion direction setting using the scale tip at 1:34 was priceless, thank you
Using Parallel as the light type for the front really evened out the front face!

animating paths from straight to bendy + echo effect I reckon!
@@TomYeeha hey thanks for the tip!
Thanks, man! Yeah TomYeeha is right with his suggestion!
@TomYeeha Spot on!
This is awesome I have been searching how to add outline stroke to extruded shapes
Thanks, really glad you found it useful!

Yeahh I've got the same doubt
It works on short texts. If you want to use larger texts, maybe this is not the best option.

AMAZING TUTORIAL I didn't have exactly the same results with my text but its what the client wanted
That's so smooth
Cheers!
how about using the cartoon effect instead of all that jazz?
Thanks for this! Wish it didn't require so many hacks but thanks for showing us.

this is a very nice way of doing fake 3d wire using only after effects. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much for this. You saved my bacon today! 🐷
Looks great
Thanks!
Your graph looks different than mine. Not sure what I'm doing wrong
Hey, at the bottom of the screen when you are in graph mode next to an eye icon you can change the graph type to edit speed graph and wallaa

When i choose cinema 4d render the light doesn't show it's effect, but when it's classic 3d the light appears... why is that?
I needed to click on draft 3d icon for the lights to appear
😮
Made IT...
There's got to be a faster way to do this this all feels overly complicated and time consuming...
