- During biology labs, you often have to perform a chi-square test to see if observed values are similar to or different from expected values for a set of data. This video describes how to do a simple chi-square test when looking at monohybrid genetic crosses to see if the offspring you observed are similar to what you expected.
I am panicking right before my test and you re-explained things even more than my professor originally ❤
THANK YOUUU MY AP EXAM IS TOMORROW AND NO ONE WAS ABLE TO EXPLAIN THIS GOOD EXCEPT YOUUU🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You explained this better than my professor, thank you!
This is really helpful since I’m studying an undergraduate biology course. It has really helped me and I hope to see more of such videos . The creator is doing a very explicit job 👍🏻
Clear and to the point. Extremely helpful.
Best lecture of chi square test 👏
I have my practical exam tomorrow, and after watching ur video, I feel confident that I can do this in my exam
This video is very helpful, thank you so much
YOU SAVED MY LIFE BESTIE, THANK YOU 😭💕

This video has helped me alot thank you Madam
Thank you maam, you are more than perfect
Very well done thank you. just for curiosity I have used interpolation and found a P value of .6290 using tables and actual was .60815 using a calculator. Thank you so much.
amazing explanantion. need more videos on genetics
Your lecture is best❤
amazing explanation!
Can you do a video for dihybrid crosses🙏🙏
I should have a video for dihybrid crosses posted by next week! :)
Very helpful video. Thank you!
thank you! this was so helpful!!
you're amazing😭

Thank you very much ❤❤
I understood well
Thank you so much ma'am 😊
Perfect 🥹👌 Thank you
Thanks it was very helpful
How do you get that table with chi square values???
If you just search online for chi square tables you will find a lot. These are standard tables. They all should have the same values on them.
@@BiologywithRisa how are P values calculated from X2? What is the formula for P value?
For chi square test df= (nr-1)×(nc-1) which is here 0.. why is it 1 here then
There are actually two types of Chi Square Tests. There is the Chi Square Goodness of Fit Test which is described in this video, and there is the Chi Square Test of Independence. The degrees of freedom are calculated differently for each. In the Goodness of Fit Test the df = the number of categories - 1. In the Test of Independence, the df = (nr-1)x(nc-1). I hope this helps explain the difference!
