    Cheap phones are getting better and better. I got Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5g and I absolute love it. I just need the basic and with a good camera like this, I'm satisfied.

    Hello Jan.
    Thanks for this video of photo capabilities for 13 pro+. I had some emotions, the phone will be a gift for my son birthday and we are used to have only Samsung phones. Sadly in this prise range...hard to find something from them as appealing as this Redmi. Glad to see pleasent results in photo department like your pictures. And happy to remember what a lovely city is Praha, even I would like to see it again "live". Thanks.

      Hello Silviu and thanks! I am glad you liked my video... And I honestly think Xiaomi Redmi really offers good results for reasonable money... (If you happen to be from Romania, as the name suggest, send greeting there - I love Romania and visit it nearly every year...) Best, Jan

    I found the best settings to be 3:4 aspect ratio as this is 12 MP rather than 9 mp on the 9:16 ratio and the P100F filter which produces more beautiful colors than the vivid filter. Do you happen to know what that P100F means? Also I use beautification 35% filter

    Thanks for this review! Im doubting between getting a google pixel 7a, a xiaomi 13t or this redmi model. You have tested (at least) 2 of those, could you make a recommendation based on the cameras?

      Hi and thanks! I did not properly test Pixel 7a, but I quite liked Xiaomi 13T so my bet would be on it. The Redmi is good, but still a bit lower class/level than 13T... Jan

    Xiaomi 13T Pro has much more beautiful colors and higher dinamic range. Leica deserves all the extra price. The sunlight from those pictures, beside the realism of rememored colors, made all my memories form a big live dejavu. I would give Leica the krown of memories.

    does it satisfy 200mp?

    • @jan-rybar
      @jan-rybar  3 месяца назад

      Yes, in some scenarins, it makes sense to use the 200 mpx (but not for general photography, I believe)... Jan

    I suppose , the overall landscape and portrait for not zooming in purpose works well. But i have little beef with real closeups ( using 200mpx mode) and i must say the old pureview with their 30+mpx works similar and im not impressed. Went to the dealers today and tested them out and im somewhat disappointed. Ofc for general population , this is all what they need, tho as a person working in beauty industry i need more what they can offer despite the huge marketing claims they make.

      Hi and thanks for the comment! And sure, do not forget this is a relatively cheap/basic mobile phone, so if you need a more demanding usage, you should definitely go for a more advanced one... Jan

    I find the colours washed out, poor quality, and noisy when zoomed, my old huawei p30 pro wipes the floor with it

    I've been using Samsung S22 for two years, but battery life and finger sensor are so awful, I am thinking I should sell it away and finally get something lasting longer as a replacement. I've put 4k video recording and IP68 to a filter on a website and this model popped up. The price is not a problem for me, but I don't think spending $1000 on a mobile phone is right. Unfortunately, colors here are what makes me feel disappointed. On one side, you are right, colors are correct, shadows are right, everything is as it should be. But it still feels much cheaper than samsung, that the colors reached its maximum and I can't get more even using photoshop.

      Hi, well, it is really very hard to make any really relevant comparisons, because I would need to test the mobiles side by side, but generally, this is sort of really cheap mobile phone, so I was politely surprised what it does... Samsungs S are much more expensive so they would make better sense for more advanced use... Best, Jan

    So can you crop in Photoshop or are these jpgs locked and compressed??? What about raw??? Can you save to raw and what is the file size. And can you use other photo apps that take advantage of the 200 meg size? You give ZERO information.

    • @jan-rybar
      @jan-rybar  3 месяца назад

      Hi and yes, of course - 200 Mpx JPGs are just "normal" photos/files, so you can work with them as with any other photos: edit them, crop them, anything you wish... The key question is whether it makes sense - in the past, the huge size of the files does not necessary mean better photos. So it was more or less a PR feature... But as you can see in the video, in this case, you can really get some interesting results in certain scenarios... Jan
