It sickens me that people are saying that this "ruined their mood"... Do you know what ruins my mood? Knowing that many women and men I love dearly are silently suffering.
+Mikaila Thompson Exactly, that's the reason this ruined their mood. When you're sitting around laughing and having a good time with friends and someone just blatantly interrupts "Hey guys domestic violence is a serious issue just thought I'd remind you." it tends to ruin some good moods. Personally, I thought the ad was the funniest of the game due to the fact that A.) no other commercials were funny, and B.) I just find it amusing that the NFL as an institution has gotten to the point where they cannot separate themselves from the issue of domestic violence and so they feel the need to shove all these PSAs into their games as if to say "See? We think its bad too!"
+Sampai Gaming because these ads focus on only 1 side of the coin, and never call out women who are violent towards their husbands/boyfriends. Men's pain is considered a joke. The reality is that women are more violent in relationships than men. There is ZERO help for men. If you are abused as a male, and you call one of those abuse hotlines, you get sent to a councilor to discuss YOUR anger problems. If she is being violent towards you and you call the cops, due to primary aggressor laws, YOU are the one who goes to jail. The system is horribly skewed against men, and men are finally speaking up against it.
+Rantandreason I see, but why only focus on the bad side of it? This tells a very true thing that happens. I understand that men are abused as well and I do believe that something should be done about that. I just hope people don't completely forget that women are abused as well. Thanks for clearing things up.
+TheBookWorm1718 you mean like male students at Ryerson University who just attempted to make a men's center so that men could have access to various programs and help, which was stopped by feminists and SJWs? or the billboard ad in Toronto that talked about violence e against men, which had a massive pushback, again from feminist and SJWs or how about the first ever conference for issues men and boys face, which had bomb threats called in to the hotel it was being held at. it forced them to have to raise more money for security and to move the venue. or how about Erin Pizzy who was the first woman to ever open a domestic violence shelter. she found that many of the women were just as violent as the men they were escaping from. only when she started saying violence was generational and not gendered, and that she wanted to help men, her family dog was killed and her family threatened, and she was forced to move away from England so you tell me why I haven't made one
So if a guy friend of mine declines a party or going to a bar because his wife would be upset, that's a sign of domestic abuse and I should call the cops on her, right?
I actually remember this and I thought it was funny as hell for some reason I guess because I was younger... Now I really know what it means so its not funny
Guess by the comments, it should have been a guy abused by a guy... But then bible thumpers would complain. Guess we should just do what we know best. Ignore the situation and just troll others...
+wowalinbie No. Jake is a guy and his controlling the girl. The two girls in the photos took a photo to show how much fun they were having but the other girl wasn't allowed because of Jake, he was having a mood.
wowalinbie What are you even talking about? I assumed something and got it wrong. Don't think I have purposes or excuses to why I was wrong. We all make mistakes so please, calm down. I still believe Jake is a boy name though unless yous are all trying to play with my head.
+Nikki Ryan No, I did not intend that. Honestly I can't be bothered with you people. If your going to be that stupid and automatically assume that I support domestic violence between relationships then something is wrong with you!
Literally no one talks about the men who are abused though. Do they not matter as much as the women? Or is it that societal stigma that if a man is being abused he's a weakling, or when they get abused it's 'cute', and it's just the girl 'acting up'? It's rather unfair in my eyes.
What the hell do you think I would say? Obviously that's bad as well. The only reason that I talk specifically about the the heterosexual side of it is because that's the side of heterosexual abuse that people always seem to forget.

wipe that stupid grin off your face
Lmfao does my grin bother you? If that's the worst you can come up with, you mustn't be that creative :)
Mikaila Thompson
you want me to be creative, I can be. I wasn't even trying, princess.
Id punch you in the face for ruining my mood too
Shit was a powerful commercial.
+luke barlow lol, guys are treated the same way by women I'll agree there.
Why so much hate? I thought it was a great ad.

+Rantandreason That's not the point of this ad.
+Jessica Kennon no, of course not, because there are NO ads which address that issue, and that is precisely the issue

She was trying to sign SOS

Depends. If it's a recurring theme it's definitely a red flag
"Sorry about the delay. I had to take a really painful dump."

Can someone explain this ad?
It's an ad for domestic abuse or sexual assault, mainly focusing on relationship abuse.
+wowalinbie No. Jake is a guy and his controlling the girl. The two girls in the photos took a photo to show how much fun they were having but the other girl wasn't allowed because of Jake, he was having a mood.
wowalinbie My brothers bestfriends name is Jake. You my friend need to chill.

***** It doesn't get talked about as much simply because recognizing gay couples is unfortunately new for some people.
Facts. Abuse knows no gender.
