Great to see it running! The RCCA article had a decent starting recommendation for shock oil. A stiffer servo saver or go to a horn/arm can help. Take a look at the thrust bearing in the diff (if you didn't rebuild it) and lightly file the 4x8 bushing in the slipper for the slip issue.
I think I can recall seeing this car back as early at '92 at least.

Very cool to see it out on the track running around. I would not be able to take out the one you got at auction either, too rare and perfect to go scratch all up! I am glad you were able to find a runner and have the best of both worlds!
nice video, this was competition at the time for associated stealth and losi jrxpro, next version kyosho had the mid ball diff metal gears similar to the losi jrx2 transmission, the kyosho had several problems with the gear and bearing molds and design, and the kyosho trans was updated mid year kit design to not bind and be smooth. joel johnson had been racing a lot of 1/12 scale carpet and 1/8 scale nitro onroad by now and didnt do much with the triumph.
Really cool on the turntable display. This was my buggy for 2wd but alwayshad the understeer issues no matter what we adjusted
I had one of these when I was 14. I really wanted a USA-1 but it was too expensive. Drooling over the tower hobbies catalog I tried to convince my parents to at least get me a Kyosho Raider Pro but it was still too expensive. Found a used Triumph at a hobby shop that had everything and finally convinced my parents to get it. I was in over my head being my first RC car so my dad had to help me out but it was a quick little thing once we got it going.
Love it, ive still yet to find a race to run mine. But hopefully the Batley classic in about 5 weeks will be the time 🤞 its a great looking buggy for sure

Adding a triumph to ones collection is no simple matter, they are impossible to find.

@@rockncoop665 thanks glad you like the video. I do have the RC10T rerelease. It arrived while I was away on vacation. I’m still away on vacation. Not sure when I’ll end up building it as I just restored an original RC10T and have to finish up my custom carbon chassis RC10T.

@@simonz28 thanks and the turntable is from Amazon. They have a few sizes. I think this one is one of the bigger ones at 16 inches
