    I changed my main control board! My GE refrigerator was dead no freezer no refrigeration. This is great especially when I thought I would go to the appliance store and purchase a new one! A rude awakening when they told me there are none in stock and delivery dates are estimating around December or January 21. WTH!! You don't miss the luxury's of life until you don't have them. I am Thankful and grateful.

    thank you so much!!! we have had nothing but problems with our Frigidaire Gallery appliances, the Company lemon-ed out our first french door and in 18 months we are having a complete shut down, after hiring a tech to look into the problem Frigidaire offered to send us the board and ice maker at 1/2 price but no one certified would put them in,, great help there!! went 10 days with no refrigerator waiting for parts to come to find out we had to do it ourselves. Dont know what we would have done with out your video. Could have been an ugly Thanksgiving. Thanks again!!!

    Great video. Saved me as I wasn’t sure how to deal with the ground wire as it didn’t have a new connector like the old. I just tucked the unused connector behind the wires. Wasn’t sure if the label on the ground should stay on or not but removed it. Didn’t want it to touch or break something.

    Thankyou so much for posting this. I waited a month for a repair company to come and work on my LG appliance and finally I decided to just buy the part and do it myself. Thanks for making that possible. Just a heads up my side by side is a LG and my Main Control Board was on the top of the appliance not on the back. I know different brands have it in different locations. Once again thanks for this great video. Thx...Stay at home mom with a working refrigerator!

    Hello, I have a broken WR55X10156 board and I bought a wr55x10942 instead by mistake. It has everything the same except that the WR55X10156 has some pins (J15) where the compressor is connected and the wr55x10942 only has the solder on the board without those pins. If I solder the two pins from my old WR55X10156 to the new wr55x10942, would my refrigerator work? Since all the new board is the same as the old one (Except that)
    Thank you!!

    I suspect my motherboard is shot. The digital temperature controls for the fridge and freezer don't light up anymore. That was already replaced, and it didn't change anything. The fridge is warm but the freezer stays frozen. I don't know about the water dispenser because we don't have it hooked up to water. I will unplug it and pop the panel to visually inspect it. Otherwise is there anything I can do to test my motherboard?

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  9 лет назад

      +Gabe Nava You can go to our website and enter your appliance model number to view the parts breakdowns to be sure you get the correct part for your model. There is a control board behind the dispenser front panel, another under the control panel in the fresh food section and one down by the compressor area. I would think the one down by the compressor would be the main control board.

    • @gnavajr
      @gnavajr 9 лет назад +1

      +AppliancePartsPros - it turns out, the main board for my frig is a fraction of the size (of the one in this video) and fits inside the flip down housing unit (see www.searspartsdirect.com/model-part/gc5shexns00/1198/0165000/w0512099/00010.html) where it shows the freezer and frig temperature. So I received the part snapped it in, and at first it worked fine, but an hour later the temperature no longer showed up and a series of very annoying beeps continue to sound off nonstop, almost like Japanese water torture. Please help!!!

    Our fridge has an ice clumping together problem. When this board was installed in our GE fridge and re-plugged, we lost the entire power of the fridge except for the light bulb in the fresh food side. Any idea why this could have happened? The board was factory sealed and new. Not refurbished. We had to reinstall the old board to get any functionality back.
