It could be just me, but among my guy friends we all like tan or healthy looking women including black women. Can't stand pale skin. However, perhaps women feel differently.
Cottage Gym a lot of women don’t like super pale skin either, which is why a lot of them tan but also it depends on the beauty standard of your country. in korea the beautiful standard is pale, small lips and nose, thin, tall, etc.

I’m a dark skinned girl and there are some black men that appreciate the “chocolate”, but there is still a lot of colorism in the black community. I think when we are not used to seeing something all the time we can better appreciate the beauty of it.

As an African American woman, I was surprised by the responses they said to the questions because I generally hear the exact opposite of confident and strong. I hear angry and vain. So this was a very refreshing response that put a smile to my face 😃😃

@Grape Soda A lot of that has to do with the social brainwashing that a majority of Black women (particularly Black American women) go through from the time we can understand that 1) We are the most undesirable women on the planet according to the media and a lot of our men and 2) If a man does talk to us, it's just because he wants an easy 'score' and has no real interest in having our hearts. Please don't give up on us because that first (or even second/third) brush off could be a test of your resolve. You'll find that in Asia the typical "Black woman" stereotype doesn't really come up as often. It's more "Cool and confident" and less "Bossy or Angry". It's refreshing.

Lived there for 2 1/2 years. Koreans are definitely more open and more inclined to hit on foreigners (black or otherwise). But there’s a dm difference between dating out of interest and marrying with consideration to social and family expectations. Koreans date to marry. (Generally speaking).
As a black girl this is so uplifting because all we ever hear is that black women are loud, and ghetto, and wear weave and that other men don't want us as partners and that we should be light skinned. I'm a teen and i'm not picky when it comes to potential partners. race doesn't matter to me. but it always made me sad knowing the rest of the world doesn't think that way. as i've been maturing and thinking about this outside of relationships i've been trying to break this stereotype with my knowledge and the way i carry myself. Someday i hope that when people think of a black person they don't think about gangster, crime, loud mouth, ghetto, a father that isn't there for their child, or a baby mama with six kids. I want people to think of a well educated and spoken person that is just as equal and capable as any person.

In reality, the men should find the women beautiful simply because they are beautiful. Not because they are black. that's just because of how media portrays Asian men. How many AMBW couples are there on TV? Usually it's BMAF or WMAF. As an African American woman, I can say I am more attracted to Asian men more than the typical Western men. Your size doesn't matter to me, I feel like Asian men are sweeter and less stereotypical (more open-minded) than western men. And I know many other African American women feel the same way! TheChej my black grandmother almost married a Chinese man in the 1950’s. He asked her and she was going to say yes but then she had a situation where she realized he was too possessive, but just the same he loved her way back then.

Asian guys are shy because that’s how we culturally grow. We are not taught to open up or open our hearts out while growing up because that has never been the first concern when providing for the family has been the first priority of every asian parents. I like this video. It's refreshing to see that our black women are admired in different cultures. However, unfortunately it doesn't speak for the majority. In my personal experience, my Lolo (Filipino, Tagalog for grandfather) was basically disowned by his family because of his interest in black women. Sadly racism in Asian culture is very real.

I've been attracted to a lot of darker skinned girls, but always was in fear since I'm a smaller/shorter individual while other man of other races were bigger & it's true. A lot of Asian men Ive spoken too or watched interviews about said they dont know how to approach Black women because either they have never meet one, interacted with one, or is just nervous around. There arent black people in a lot of places around the world so when people do see black people it's sort of intimidating or very foreign to them. The fact that black women are desired around the world but still do not get approached because of lack of confidence or intimidation is so sad lol. This world would be a lot more mixed if Black woman also got out of their comfort zone in dating outside of Black men more. (This is no hate towards black men) but it is a fact that black men date outside their race about 2-3x compared to Black woman NOT because black woman are becoming less desirable. Some of their answers I felt were on the _fetish_ spectrum until I watched further & felt their replies were more genuine. However, for all my fellow black women: let’s not try to take these responses over board & be like “MEN WOULD LOVE ME IN KOREA! Lived there for 2 1/2 years. Koreans are definitely more open and more inclined to hit on foreigners (black or otherwise). But there’s a dm difference between dating out of interest and marrying with consideration to social and family expectations. Koreans date to marry. (Generally speaking).

As a black girl this is so uplifting because all we ever hear is that black women are loud, and ghetto, and wear weave and that other men don't want us as partners and that we should be light skinned. I'm a teen and i'm not picky when it comes to potential partners. race doesn't matter to me. but it always made me sad knowing the rest of the world doesn't think that way. as i've been maturing and thinking about this outside of relationships i've been trying to break this stereotype with my knowledge and the way i carry myself. As an African American woman, I can say I am more attracted to Asian men more than the typical Western men. In my personal experience, my Lolo (Filipino, Tagalog for grandfather) was basically disowned by his family because of his interest in black women. Sadly racism in Asian culture is very real.

A lot of Asian men Ive spoken too or watched interviews about said they dont know how to approach Black women because either they have never meet one, interacted with one, or is just nervous around. There arent black people in a lot of places around the world so when people do see black people it's sort of intimidating or very foreign to them. The fact that black women are desired around the world but still do not get approached because of lack of confidence or intimidation is so sad lol.

Naimah W It’s true that many guys of some Asian countries used to be smaller, especially for those highly developed in economics, education,etc.For example: Japan,Singapore, Korean, Hong Kong, Taiwan.But there’s a good reason: we used to put too much emphasis on sitting in front of the desk studying,exercise too little .But things are changing now.More and more Asian kids are growing well,more and more Asian guys loves working out and marathon.Those kids in this video,they can be strong and big if they start to train too.And don’t look down on Korean guys,they got a nickname in Mandarin: 高麗棒子, which means “Korean bat” (like the bat for smashing) They are fierce when necessary.
