People are never the enemy--governments and national interests are the enemies of peace. I have read and studied many books and documents about WW II or 'The Great Patriotic War' as it is known in the former Soviet Union. I understand, respect, and admire the people of the USSR who sacrificed so much and so many in their struggle for national survival. The Red Army deserves much respect and appreciation for what it did in WW II. I often wonder what would happen today in the USA if we were suddenly faced with the same struggle as faced by the USSR in WW II? I suspect the American people have grown soft and would not fare nearly as well. In fact, I greatly fear the future for my grandchildren. I can only hope and pray my fears do not come to pass. I cannot help myself because I will close by saying I could not help but notice Russian women are some of the best beautiful women in the world!! :)

As a retired US Marine who spent 20+ years in the Corps studying how to fight the USSR, I can honestly and truthfully say I NEVER considered the PEOPLE of the USSR [or the Russian federation today] to be my enemies. People are never the enemy--governments and national interests are the enemies of peace. I have read and studied many books and documents about WW II or 'The Great Patriotic War' as it is known in the former Soviet Union. I understand, respect, and admire the people of the USSR who sacrificed so much and so many in their struggle for national survival. The Red Army deserves much respect and appreciation for what it did in WW II. I often wonder what would happen today in the USA if we were suddenly faced with the same struggle as faced by the USSR in WW II? I suspect the American people have grown soft and would not fare nearly as well. In fact, I greatly fear the future for my grandchildren. I can only hope and pray my fears do not come to pass. I cannot help myself because I will close by saying I could not help but notice Russian women are some of the best beautiful women in the world!! :)
