Jonathan Scott - Organ
Tom Scott - Film & Sound
The Organ of St. Nikolaus Church, Brüggen, Germany
Henricus Titz (1741 & 1757/59) using pipework from an existing organ, some dating back to 1604.
Unspecified repairs and work documented in 1780 by Joan Theodor Gilman, and again in 1895.
In 1932-33 the organ was electrified, with a new console, and the pipes were moved a whole tone higher by the Organ Builder Ernst Seifert.
From 1981 - 1984 the organ was restored by Gebr. Stockmann, Werl/Westfalen. The work from the 1930's was reversed and the mechanical action reinstated.

Köszönöm szépen ! Csodálatos❤
Very different but effective arrangement of this piece.
Sometimes music transports you back in time. This gorgeous registration & performance has such an effect; I can almost feel the history emanating from the instrument & the building. Thanks for sharing. 💐🎹🎶
What a beautiful presentation on such a delicate instrument. You have made Handel proud Jonathan! Tom, the beauty of the Church is perfectly captured in tune with Jonathan's presentation. Thank you both for sharing God's wonder and awe so freely!
I wish Jonathan could play for a service at my church...that would be heavenly
Great music and amazing player !
So strange to have such a large instrument with only 4 octave manuals. I remember playing this piece as part of a recorder group. 'Twas a pleasure to hear it again!
Incredibly beautiful performance.
This piece is so relaxing and calming. I wish it would be more popular.
So peaceful, and meditative. Thank you. xx
I love this piece! Nice to hear at 2:40 am!!
I get hype when the Scott brothers drop another banger.
So amazing! The ornamenting is brilliant. Well played!
Wonderful performance. The voice is so relaxing, thank you.
Absolutely wonderful Jonathan!🤗👏👏👏👏
Sublime. Thank you
Oh how wonderful, another piece on this beautiful, historic organ in Bruggen! This Sarabande by Handel seems so appropriate on this organ. What a lovely video, thank you both for sharing this & giving us another chance to enjoy this fine instrument. xx
So beautiful and ancient, as well as contemporary with Handel! Thank you both for this amazing video!
Wonderful thank you
The most solemn version I've heard, but also majestic. (Interesting that the organ was re- mechanized after being electrified). From Chicago, U.S.A.
Beautiful playing and setting
Merci de nous imprégner de cette partition Sublime !
Thank you so much, Jonathan. Beautifully performed!
Thank you Jonathan for this marvelous performance! If you have any chance to come at Lille, you are welcome to play on one of the greatest organ of France at the Cathedral Notre-Dame de la Treille. Just let me know and I will contact the two official organist: Ghislain Leroy and Denis Comtet. Karol Mossakowski has left after many years as comanager of this beautiful organ.
See you soon in Seoul
Very beautiful🍃
Sehr schön vorgetragen ❤Dank und liebe Grüße aus Castrop-Rauxel.
This was so somber, I wonder if it's in tribute to all the trauma happening in the world right now.
Handel wrote this based on other composers work. It was written for the harpsichord. It is actually a dance and was viewed as erotic by the Church then and banned. It is a secular piece of music.
Wonderful and not fast.
Beautiful! I would like to propose you to make a transcription of Beethoven's "Für Elise". I know it's simple, but I'd like to hear it on the organ.
❤🎶🥰👍🫠🙌👏😘
Have you received satisfaction?
Lovely interpretation 💗
