Liszt did write a lot of gallopy stuff but there are much more. Some say he composed impressionistic music before impressionism was even a thing. His late works are in a totally different style. He even tried atonal stuff in his late times. He was very ahead of his time.
Very good! Some interesting similarities to Alkan op 17, composed 1844 ( ruclips.net/video/nhbPjWS9f10/видео.html ), both composed in the same period. Liszt first version (S.142 from 1842 and this second version from 1852). I guess they inspired each other at that time in Paris. Can we find any documentation on this subject?
This is definitely one of the less widely known Liszt piece that will blow your mind through its mind-boggling beauty
Bravo maestro.
you have an incredible ability to find the absolute best recordings of these pieces. keep up the good work! your uploads always make my day :)
Is Liszt the most gallopy piano composer of all time? I can't think of anyone who writes more music that makes me want to ride a horse fast

Rossini's William tell overture is the ultimate gallop piece imo
Try Schumann, he’ll take it to the next level

Very underrated piece
