I knew someone who was in a university piano program and her professor actually used this piece for some auditions. The double right hand runs going at a crazy speed is insanely difficult for even the most experienced players.

Lizst harmonizes simple melodies uniquely beautifully. 0:45 alternative minor scale, 1:02 modulates over new keys, especially 1:12 bar 35 Eb7+13 -> B -> B7+13 -> Em and resolves back to theme in a tempo. love the delicacy. Perhaps overshadowed by all the many virtuoso pieces he wrote, this piece is so friendly and peaceful and underrated that it indeed is a hidden gem.

Im playing this etude yay, and its suprisingly easy to read, but the hard part is getting it in tempo

Just to let you know, this was recorded during her recent recital where she played all 12 Transcendental Etudes in one sitting, without intermission. So although there are a few wrong notes in this performance it is still very impressive how she managed to pull this off. Not every concert pianist can play all of Liszt's TEs in one recital.

The ending was epic!
