The Unmaking of June Farrow is one of my favorite books ever because of all of the reasons you said. It is one of the few that kept me up until 4 AM to finish.
I love the cozy fantasy theme here! I also fell in love with the cozy fantasy genre this year. A couple of my favorites from this year are A Psalm for the Wild Built and A Prayer for the Crown Shy.
Just downloaded Fable! I’m really liking it. Imported all the info from GR so now I have a complete year wrap up! 🎉 I am following you as well already :))
I just started reading The Spellshop. Since you loved that, I encourage you to read The Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking, similar vibes! I think you'd adore it.
Hey Faith, i just discovered your channel a few days ago! Love your content, you deserve many more subcribers since your content is realllllly high quality! Thank you for the book recs in this video. I wish you a happy new year. Love from this really small booktuber from The Netherlands x
Half a soul is one of my favorite books I read last year, definitely want to re read it sometime soon! So glad you loved it as well ♥️ As for my favorite book I read this year, definitely One Dark Window! It was soooo interesting and fun, you should check it out if you haven’t already! ☺️
Based on your favorites, I think it's possible you will like the anime and manga "Snow white with the red hair." It's about an herbalist, and the romance is so sweet but isn't the main plot. I'm loving what I've read/watched of the series so far 😊
Ahh so exciting, great list!! I loved ACOMAF too (it was on my top 12 in 2023) and Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands and Funny Story were both honorable mentions for this year! June Farrow was a good one too, even though it was quite hard to understand, haha. And I just got An Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love for Christmas and can’t wait to read it! My top 12 from 2024 in chronological order are: Tress of the Emerald Sea, The Hate U Give, Six of Crows, Words of Radiance, Seven Days in June, Piranesi, Just For the Summer, The Things We Cannot Say, Remarkably Bright Creatures, The God of the Woods, Beartown, and The Winners!
I read 128 books this year Here's my favorite reads Tales of the body thief by Anne rice book 4 in the vampire chronicles Miss memory lane by colton Haynes memoir Clytemnestra by constanza casanti The wild truth by carine mccandless memoir The maid by nita prose Good luck with that by kristan Higgins One summer in Savannah by terah shelton Harris Queen of the damned by Anne rice book 3 in the vampire chronicles Her too by bonnie kistler Binding 13 by chloe Walsh The violence by delilah s dawson Just for the summer by abby Jimenez Funny story by Emily Henry This could be us by Kennedy Ryan
I love so many of these same books, and others are ones I want to read. My top favorite books of the year are Morning Star (book 3 of Red Rising), the first two books in the Mark of the Lion trilogy by Francine Rivers (although the second one was my favorite), Half a Soul, Tress of the Emerald Sea, The Reappearance of Rachel Price, and 11/22/63. Special shoutout to Bridge to Terabithia, which I just read to my class a couple weeks ago, which will stick with me forever.
Half a soul was the first book I read in 2024, really liked it! Second book in the series was the first for this year. ☺ But my absolute fav from 2024 was The long walk by Stephen King. Kind of brutal but just stayed with me for some reason. But I can't wait to read The spellshop! 🤩 Been eyeing it alot the last couple of days.
Emily Wilde (x2), Spellshop, and Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love (gosh that takes forever to type) were all on my top 10 list too, and Rachel Price didn't make the cut but was still a 4.5. Haven't read any of the others, but that's enough for me to think I should take them into serious consideration as books that may also match my taste.
Great descriptions! I was just diagnosed with inattentive ADD. Speaking of neurodivergence.. I watch all these books reviews because I wish I could read. then I get distracted. How do you stay focused to read ?
Honestly reading is oddly the only time that my brain somewhat focuses and shuts off. Because I have to imagine what’s going on in the book (what my eyes are also looking at) my brain can’t think about anything else and it’s lovely lol. Sometimes I’ll start to wander but it’s easier for me to get back in focus when reading.
I personally like audiobooks. Sometimes I do just stop listening and my brain wanders off. I mostly listen to them while doing random tasks though (washing dishes, cleaning up my room, cooking), which then again helps me focus on the audiobook and the task as well. It somewhat helps my brain with productivity idk.

I knowww it was so good! I need something to fill the void

I think plants might have feelings. I heard trees talk to each other through their roots. God made nature amazing.
Thank you!

Just letting you know fables had some controversy involving their wrap ups recently. I would highly recommend looking it up.
