Level Crossings in the UK, and in many countries worldwide, do have a red/white colour scheme on signage and barriers. I guess red/white is quite visible which is why it is commonly used
More than likely. The Avanti Pendolinos don't have any nearby stopping stations so they must pass close to the line speed. I'd probably say the same for CrossCountry services.
Yeah, this is one of a couple of crossings on the West Coast Mainline. There's not many crossings where you can see Avantis at speed, but this is one of them and its a great location, as is nearby Wedgwood crossing 😁

I was here just the other day waiting for the CrossCountry train to pass. They must pass this crossing at full speed or near to full speed

I've been to this crossing many times one time I saw it closed for 20 minutes
at Barlaston the class 390 service from Manchester to London
