Celebrity Edge is my favorite ship. I love Celebrity their cruises are great and the food is delicious. Next time try a sky suite and you get the Luminae restaurant as a perk for suite guest. Fantastic experience!
I would think those low chairs would be hard on elderly people too. It would be difficult for me because I have had several surgeries on my knee. Looks like a nice ship though. Congrats on your wins. I never win 😛

It was great meeting you guys on this cruise. I'm gonna start with all the pros and then tell you about the frustration we are now experiencing. We loved your Maya Chan content as it truly was an amazing place with amazing food and they were totally up front about it and letting you decide to cancel or not. The Edge is the nicest ship we have ever been on. The food was the best cruise food we've ever had. Lastly, the service was second to none. We did Le Petit and Chef for a specialty dinner and Raw on 5 and Le Grand Bistro for a specialty lunch. You absolutely must try Le Grand Bistro for lunch next time. Best meal I've ever had on a cruise ship and may be one of the best meals I've ever had. We loved it so much we booked another cruise on the cruise on the Edge in the same room. And that's where things get interesting. Again, the experience on this ship was second to none. It's off the ship that's the problem. Like I said, we booked the next cruise on the cruise. For doing this, we got an extra $200 onboard credit in addition to the best rate and were assured the best rate guarantee applied. In fact, we could have just given a $200 deposit and had up to 90 days to book the cruise and still received the additional onboard credit. But we did just book it on the ship. The rate (which anyone off the ship could have booked) included $200 in onboard credit (so a total of $400 with the addition), premium drink package, basic wi-fi and tips. The week after we get back, Celebrity has a sale. It's not a huge difference, it's about $75 less total for the both of us, but includes $400 in onboard credit, premium drinks, and premium wi-fi so that's $200 more in onboard credit (again, anyone could have booked this) and premium wi-fi so in absolute terms it's roughly $400 less. No worries, we have the price guarantee. I could have just done the onboard deposit and booked the cruise at this rate and would have got my $200 bonus credit. So Celebrity has a form you fill out for the price guarantee. It's a PDF and half the text boxes don't work. I finally give up and just transfer all their questions into an email along with screenshots of my rate for the sailing as well as what you could book the same thing in the same category for now. Should be easy right? WRONG!!!!! Get an email back after almost a week saying that's not the rate they see now. Well no #$%T, it was a sale and I emailed you during the sale. I told them in my initial email it was their current sale rate. Their response said I should call so I did and waited and hour. Tried the next day, waited an hour. I don't have time to deal with this so I wrote another email saying it's not my fault they don't seem to be able to look up their own rates and that I had attempted to call them twice with no luck so they needed to do whatever they needed to do to figure it out. Their response back was a smack in the face "CALL US" with the phone number and that was it. Tried to call today again, gave up after 40 minutes. Hell, I emailed right when I got back from our cruise they mistakenly charged us for a Red Bull in Eden when it was included in the premium drink package and I barely got a response today that they "received my email and would review it." Frankly, this is embarrassing. They do such amazing work on the ship, but any interactions you need to have with them off the ship are a nightmare. It seems they are actively trying to not honor their price guarantee. Now I have to set aside a large block of time to make sure I get this taken care of. We stopped going to Disney after 2 decades because of nonsense like this after spending well over a hundred thousand dollars with them. It's rare I complain about anything, but this is just so disappointing because the onboard experience is perfection, we gave them perfect scores on the survey and called out 8 employees by name including Riza at the gelato stand for exceptional service, and then they allow their off-ship employees to just ruin it. I try to be understanding, but this is totally unacceptable. In addition, we talked our friends into going on that next cruise with us and if it wasn't for them, I would be tempted to just let them keep my deposit out of principle and never spend how ever many hundreds of thousands my wife an I will spend over the next 2 decades with someone else. Hopefully I will get through to someone eventually who's competent who can make this right, but no matter what they took something amazing and tainted it for absolutely no reason. Sigh......

Maybe it's a Celebrity thing regarding shower doors and chairs in common areas bc we sailed on the Millennium recently and our shower door opened into the shower and I was struggling to maneuver into it. I also noticed how low the chairs were and I thought "this cannot be good for people with bad knees." Again, I'm not a tall person but I noticed how low they were! I think you're giving wrong information about the coffee at Cafe Al Bacio... It is included in the always included classic package. The coffees with alcohol are not included. We ordered mochas at the cafe every day and weren't charged. We ordered cappuccino as our after dinner coffee in the dining room and weren't charged.
Interesting we were definitely charged for those coffees at Cafe Al Bacio. Also when you read the description of what is included in the classic package it does not say coffee. But it does in the Elevate package. Maybe they changed it. Huh?
you are correct coffee at Cafe Al Bacio is not charged for when you have the included package as long as its under 9 dollars .As is in the classic package .
Re: the tickets you win and redeem for "schtuff" - If there's nothing you'd really want to come home with, consider giving yours to someone who "just needs a few more"! Honeymooners and first-time cruisers will appreciate that kind of a gesture!

I was going to comment on that. We were on celebrity millennium and it was included. Mochas, lattes, cappuccino, tea were included. The ones that weren't were the ones with alcohol.
I don't think it's weird at all. I've never thought any of the designers on any RCCL/Celebrity ships have actually sat in any chair. They're all worthless, tooo narrow too! Most cruisers are too wide to fit in any. Pet peeve!
We are doing an Alaskan cruise on the EDGE June of 2024. Can we bring our own soda and water as a carry on? We have gotten so many different answers from other cruisers and from Celebrity! Also we have anytime dining. I noticed you had to make reservations for the four main dining rooms. How do I make reservations? Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.
It’s difficult to find their actual policy, but everything that we understand is that you can carry on as much water and soda as you like, as long as you are physically able to carry it on. There doesn’t seem to be a limit other than what you can physically carry.
