My sister, who works full time for the government and likes to shame me from time to time for being home and homeschooling, sent me a Tik Tok video recently where Judge Judy was saying the "smart women" find a way to make money. This video made me feel better. Thank you:)
What does it profit a mother if she gains the whole world, but neglects her children? The world worships money. You are teaching your children to love God and their neighbors. Your legacy is going to last an eternity. ❤️👊

Less than 16 hours a week on an evening shift…opposite her husband’s schedule (or vice versa) versus being glued to a phone at any part of the day to create content for your social media presence and to create and keep a customer base and a down line.
You are making money. By providing a stable home for your family your husband can concentrate on work. You should also take some fun videos and send them to your sister so she gets jealous btw😂

MLMs are so predatory. My MIL finds something to sell every couple of years and targets me to be part of her down line. I’ll accept the gifts but she knows how I feel about them. I’ve had multiple girlfriends get involved in them over the years. It’s very sad to see. I can’t imagine asking your husband to fork over several hundred dollars to buy a starter kit of product and barely break even….let alone losing all of it and then some. I work in the healthcare field. I work per diem and structure my schedule around my husband and my kids. I usually only work a few shifts a month. That’s enough to keep us comfortable and contribute to savings . I truly think that a mom who sells MLM product is doing more harm then good. She is wasting money, wasting product, and visualizing friends and family as potential customers and recruits. In fact, it’s probably worse to be around your kids but constantly being on your phone attending meeting with your up line and spending countless hours on social media trying to recruit and sell product.

They don’t seem to have the same problem of a sales pitch at their weekly golf outings. But those companies are not set up for you to earn a dime! you as the rep are the consumer, buying what you need to "have on hand" just to meet your quota to "stay active". There is nothing in the set up of you web profile to help you see what your are spending, vs what you are selling and earning. the web sites are so complicated, but flashy and pretty. It is completely predatory. Job hunting sites like Linked in and Indeed have banned them because they are not really jobs!!!!!! I had to set up my own excel sheets to track my expenses, and I broke even. the companies offer the reps nothing of the sort. Its a cult!!! Actually it is, there is this RUclips, Hannah Alonzo who exposes how bad they are. super bingey to watch!

I tried doing tastefully simple as a side gig and I tracked ever dollar I made and everything I spent. I broke even but most ppl lose money on MLMs it is soul destroying. I went from a normal person to looking at everyone as a potential customer. And it was only a side gig. It’s so predatory.

Honestly it’s perfectly fine, you are making your family a ton of money by managing it well, being a good and thrifty steward of resources, saving your family money on childcare, eating out, etc. A stay at home wife and mother is an incredible economic gift to her family, and that’s the most minimal part of what she brings to the table

That teaching English online to Chinese/Japanese/Koreans is actually a legit sideline here in the Philippines. Minimum wage is around $10 a day and fresh college grads get around $18 a day. Cost of living here is also lower... So that's actually a good way to earn extra!
