Gotta admit, nobody beats Kubo when it comes to character design/artwork. Won't even get into the long list of great characters, but just how well he can make Ichigo's parents their own characters while giving them features that believably resemble his is just *chefs kiss*
I love how people yelled exact opposite when whey saw Kaien and were like "Kubo cant design characters, hes just black-haired Ichigo", and after all this years whey know whey are distant relatives and all this makes sense and just shut up =D Agreed on the point tho, 99% of anime Male protagonists is either not resembles his parents at all or is basically yonger version of his father with different color of hair.
Nah 99% of anime protagonist look notiiably different than normal people of their world, even ichigo and orohime with orange hair are very easily believable as mixed race humans if u did not know the story
I like everything about this flashback, despite usually hating them. The emotional value, the way you can feel their happiness and love, the stuff bleach basically NEVER did, and because of that it hits HARD. But most of all i really like the way whey did fight with balck hollow. The way its night and pitch black, complementing dire nature of whats happening. How its unusually dark for bleach. We had Hueco Mundo where night is all the time howether its still bright out there. Even outside of Las Noches. Here howether its really dark. Almost grim. Manga didnt left such feelings for both parts of this flashback, creative team have done incredible work for the whole arc but this part in particular. Both parts of this flashback are so unusual to bleach, yet so... themed. Not with stupid exposition but with the feel and psychiology. This one semi-arc has did justice to rule bleach has forgotten for the whole show till this point - SHOW, NOT TELL. And did it in such a high regard that redeemed whole show in this aspect

If she transformed - she would just become different hollow. Unique quincy-shinigami hollow, but a new one. This hollow reyatsu was later stabilised in her, and passed down to Ichigo. Again, the hollow inside him - is just hollow powers. With no mind and no memories of same powers inside Misaki or White. Ichigo at birth had different powers, which gave him extreme reyatsu and ability to see spirits in human form, and later, as he was awoken as a Shinigami by Urahara - shinigami powers inside him became most dominant, whitch resulted in the fact that his abilities took a form of a shinigami ones, howether hollow powers inside him werent dormant, whitch resulted in them fusing with his shinigami powers and creating his zanpakuto. Fun fact - shinigamy have to take assauchi and wear it for it to become their zanpakuto over time, but Ichigo had his from the very beginning. Why? Thats a result of him having a quincy powers. Quincy manifest their weapons from their reiatsu. So when Ichigo awakened as a shinigami in the pit under Uraharas store, his quincy powers created that weapon for him to have zanpakuto, and his hollow become that weapon. Why this way? Well, he had more shinigamy in him from the start. White was created from Shinigami troops in the first place, and out of all forces used to create Ichigo, Ishin was strongest one, and he was pure shinigami. So in the very start powers in the Ichigo wasnt stable, and scales were a little tipped in shinigami favor. But after reaching bankai, he stops to develop as a shinigami, and we see him using hollow powers of his zanpakuto, whitch results in him balancing himself, until in the very last arc he finally finds that perfect balance. But i kinda digressed. I meant that outside of him coming from Whites reyatsu, Zangetsu have no relation to White at all, not even speaking of being that same hollow himself.

Between Byakuya telling Ukitake "He is no relation to that man" and Ichigo looking so much like Kaien it was given little breadcrumbs here and there. Shows just how well thought out Kubo's universe was, for all that to have been put in place so early on in the story.
This fight was one of my favorite fights in both the manga and anime and it did not disappoint when going to the anime. My man white was a menace even before becoming ichigo’s zanpakuto lmfao😂😂😂.
Best scene in the show. This is their “snapes memories”. I remember when it turned out Snape was a good guy in Harry Potter what a mind fuck that was. For me seeing how Ichigo’s parents met was on that level.
My only complaint with Bleach is that we never get a reunion between Ichigo and his mother. Could of easily had the soul king reunite him with her even if it was only to speak for a few minutes
My only complaint is the Ywach vs everybody. I wished everyone really fought Ywach. Byakuya and Kenpachi always fought outside of the location of the boss tiers. Aizen's bankai could have been utilized instead of forever remaining unknown. Antithesis could have been utilized more to make it understandable how Uryu could have been spared from Auswalen and how broken it was along with Almighty.
@@monkasphaltit will be explained in the anime that how Uryu survived the Auswahlen, and how special he is and how he got obe of the most broken power upgrade
It could be a mix of colors from both masaki and isshin considering in facial appearance he looks more like masaki but in overall build and personality it’s definitely from isshin. His hair could be from both or a generation thing.
I hope if we ever get the Hell Arc that when Grandfisher was defeated his soul along with Masaki's soul was sent to hell. Hopefully we get a rematch between Ichigo and a powered up Grandfisher and by the end of the arc Ichigo frees his mother's soul and she gets a short time to be reuited with her children, grandchild, and Isshin before her soul goes to the soul society

Nah 99% of anime protagonist look notiiably different than normal people of their world, even ichigo and orohime with orange hair are very easily believable as mixed race humans if u did not know the story
