We are also all seniors in our 60.s with silver hair but can still jam like no other Generation ever did. We all sang all the words, that The Isley Brothers song who wrote this song. I still have my 45 record by them. Then the Beatles re recorded but it was not near as much fun to dance to as The Isley Brothers.

In the Amnesty 1988 tour the performers (Springsteen, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Youssou N'Dour and Tracy Chapman) did this as their closing number but switched to La Bamba midway and switched back and forth a couple of times. There used to be a version from their final show in Buenos Aires but I guess someone put in a copyright claim.
Its the same I IV V chord progression, the dead did the same thing with Good Lovin/La Bamba, I don't know of anything that Springsteen and his E street band did, but I'd love to hear some of that stuff.
This was my first Bruce show. Will remember it for the rest of my life. The Boss rules.
