Of course they want electric vehicles it’s profit for them, and why the easy questions? You have JPS right there -ask the tough questions
    1. why don’t they have a phone line that they answer
    2. Why don’t they concentrate on customer service?
    3. Why are there 20 outage notices every month?
    4. I see when you brought up solar she quickly changed the subject. You should’ve asked more about that.

    Hey Throp,
I am very appreciative of the work that you are doing in promoting the land of my birth. I am a renewable energy enthusiast: I am very passionate about this topic, and in particular, Electric Vehicles (EVs). That is why I’m so impressed with your JPS guest: She has definitely educated herself in this space. Hats off to her.
All this is pushing me even harder to return HOME.

The Problems that we have with Lithium Iron Battery is that, the places that the raw material comes from to make these battery, have turn into toxic waste site! And the Battery becomes useless within 8 to 10 years, and there is a problem of disposal of those battery; it is also known that these battery have to be kept at a specific temperature or risk instantaneous combustion! So we're swapping one type of pollution for another. The Government of these High Tech Country are not informing the public of this fact. Jamaica need to do it's due diligence in regard to the power source itself, the idea of the Electric Car is fine however, the power sources is the Problem. Are we going to make the same mistake with Lithium Iron Battery, as we did with Fossil Fuels???...What Your take Mr Throp...

Look like another jps co.monopoly might be in the making. Also look like jps is only interested in increasing demand for its service. Not faulting her but we need to be transparent about jps motivation.

JPS needs to reanalyze its direction on EV, which will not be a viable direction for the region, and consider full coverage of electricity for the island. If there's following the US, it's not going on a higher plateau here.

Very interesting interview Throp, EV may not be for everyone but it’s still a good option.

They have zero interest in bringing energy cost down! Why are we talking about electric vehicles? Talk about going solar so our bills can be 80% less! No company should monopolize any industry in our country in 2024!

They came to put my meter on actual instead of estimate upon my request, which I had no idea they were doing. They saw my solar panels and my next bill came in at 80,000 J- it should be zero. Nobody answers the phone. I would suggest to them that they get their infrastructure in place before they start worrying about builders and electric cars.

Search the internet for EV’s catching fire. The average person will not be able to afford a vehicle.

Jamaican government needs to import cheap Chinese solar panels and technologies and make them a auto citizens

Why don’t you ask the JPS woman why is JPS electric rate the highest in the Caribbean and the Western world? Why don’t you ask some tough questions that Jamaicans care about?

She is not saying of interest. Research proves electric cars are not as sustainable, German and Sweden invest millions and end up regretting also adds China to that list. Talk about solar for housing, make more affordable for people get them

Battery prices costing African lives. This lady is wrapped up in fluff. Those who know the 2030 agenda know her double speak about sustainability.
