Louis, you are a f**king legend. I have so much respect for you brother. Keep being honest, as you are just as human as every one of your followers, and we love you for it. Thank you for being our role model.
The thing about Louis is he keeps it real. Doesn't pretend he hit the gym each day. Guys honest as hell, why I follow the guy. Good content and open and transparent. Fair play to him in a social media world full of lies.
Whenever I feel the fomo when I see my friends IG stories from a huge party - I think of the morning after. How amazing it is to go to a party, drive home early and workout the following morning like a boss.
Great video Louis - appreciate the vulnerability. Normally skip over others when they make videos like this but your authenticity and “balance” is the exact reason I sat through it all. Keep it up mate
Biiiiig video!!! Keep it up you legend!! Same shiet happen to me i lived in patong thailand and after some years daily drinking i felt horrible sober and needed alcohol to feel ok, moved back to sweden my life was horrible, jumped into rehab centers and got sober and now i live kinda the best life ever with daily running etc. Stay sober brother!! And life will explode and level up ❤️❤️💯💯🔥🔥
Great to see, Louis. I used to really enjoy your videos, but I've skipped a lot of your content the last few years because they just felt like adverts. Stoked for the future content 🙌
I have not drunk anything since January 1 2020 . Something I came to realise was that I could do social events / bar / club without anything but it was a little difficult at first . But I just went back to basics , I realised I have a decent personality and if I couldn’t talk to people sober then what was that all about ?! Did I think that I needed alcohol In order to be social - no I didn’t I realised I can rely on my conversation and humour however difficult it could be . So to this day I havbt drank anything and it’s coming up to 4 years . I don’t even think about alcohol. This is just a brief summary but thought I’d leave a comment
Great video. Really appreciate you being honest about your life over the last couple of years 👏 We all get sucked into shitty habits that we need to come out of. Not easy not impossible it's all in our mind. It's all about taking control of your day and life. Thanks again for a great video. Cheers mate👏
Drinking can become just a routine. Mindset and a new routine can change you. If you WANT to change. Refocus on family, friends, work, exercise and food. Well done Lou x
Exactly! Very well said! It became part of my routine. It was normal. I didn’t think anything of it. But I’m certainly pleased to have wiped it out for a month. Hopefully when I re introduce it I can find more balance.
Thanks for sharing this! I have grown up around a high functioning alcoholic who then turned into a full blown unable to do anything alcoholic in 10 year period. It was horrible to see a person deteriorate like that and just be completely stuck in this horrible cycle that he was not able to break. Ruined family life, friendships, health. Lifelong trauma and anxiety to those who had to live around a person like this. Things can quickly take turn for the worse so it is always better to address this issue asap. I’m happy for you that you had the realisation and strength to make changes and stick to them! Life is truly much more enjoyable without alcohol, all it takes is the right mindset. Hope you keep strong 💪😊
Congratulations and this video is super relatable for me man can’t just have one drink so most of the time I try just not to drink at all, but it is hard. Merry Christmas 🎄
Do these guys ever talk about the crazy anxiety that follows the few weeks after giving up an addiction? It’s always “I gave up drinking and the very next day…. I FELT FUCKING AMAZING!” “IT IMMEDIATELY CHANGED MY LIFE!” It’s total bullshit to anyone that has ever given up any type of substance abuse! It would usually take around 2 - 3 weeks give or take to start feeling any of the positive effects that is giving up a substance issue to take effect. I enjoy Louis content, but a reality check is needed sometimes with these guys.
When you stop drinking you dont have the ''escape'' button of alcohol to rely on anymore. You have to face your feelings and deal with them differently. Its not all rainbows and unicorns but its a lot easier to deal with your problems and anxiety without a crippling hangover thats for sure.
I think you'd enjoy Stoicism after watching a few of your videos and hearing the things you talked about in this one, about struggle and life. I'd recommend you check out "the obstacle is the way" or even the audiobook its easier. It's inspiring and related to a lot of the things you talk about
Alcoholism is a slow death,I’ve nearly 600 days of sobriety behind me and my life has changed completely for the better since, good on ya mate for doing this, you won’t look back💪
I used to do the same when I was your age i think your just waking up im 59 now I can take it or leave it remember everything in moderation even moderation.... love your honesty ❤
Well done you! Very brave to tackle problems in life maturely, recognising the issues is the first step. I think once you start the sober journey u wont look back. Moderation with drinking is debatable especially if people cant stop at 1 or 2. Youre not missing out by not drinking you are gaining so much! Im 3 yrs no booze best thing i did! Keep going, it is possible 👊
Nothing wrong with getting on the beers now and again, as long as you moderate it- you can have too much of a good thing Good on you for finding balance mate
My grandparents drank a pint of Guinness every single day and lived into their late 90's... still traveling around the world and enjoying life. It's not about the drink... it's about your lifestyle and what else you do to stay fit and healthy and most importantly having fun!... (being miserable and in perfect health is also bad for you) a drink is good for you it relaxes you and life is too short to stop the things that you enjoy in moderation.
Well said! I completely agree! Which is why I most likely won’t go full cold turkey! But I need to practice moderation and self control, that’s something I struggle with! 🙏🏼
You are correct, a drink a day is probably healthy, and well done to your Grandfolks, self control is key. I think most of us do struggle to just keep it at one or 2 though. Anyway, merry Christmas and strength to all!
Most behaviours are born out of influence! & addiction is repetitive behaviour that has become dependable. Sharing with people that will keep you accountable is a great way to overcome any obstacles. Really great video.Never be tomorrow’s guy go for it.
Don't Europeans drink often anyway? I'm sure there was more intake whilst in Ibiza. Either way, I am eager to see where this goes from here. I, myself, quit drinking about 15 years ago. I just got tired of waking up with a hangover or not feeling so pumped. I don't miss it and I don't need alcohol, but if I was laying on a beach, I might be tempted to have a margarita. To each his own. Congratulations on this achievement!
First of all! Thank you! Yes I guess us Europeans drink a lot anyway, specifically English, I guess it’s something to do when the weather is always shit and there’s nothing to do. Either way, I’m excited to see where this goes too, but he goal is to control my alcohol consumption not remove it. Balance is what’s most important for me!
I lived in ibiza for short periods before, drank every night whilst there, got completely drunk daily pretty much. But i never understand what louie did drinking in the morning in the sun, to me theres nothing worse, double deydration! makes you feel like crap, he must function differently to me lol get the worst headaches drinking one after another in the sun. When i lived there i never drank in the day, only in the evening. But once home to the UK i rarely drink in the week, only at the weekends
Alcoholism is definitely not mostly due to social pressure. In fact most alcoholics have mental illness, trauma, deal with loneliness and/or have genetic predisposition to substance addiction.

I went near 4 years sober, i took a few in summer as I felt i was missing out on so much with my friends but ive went back of the drink since its just not worth it
Because it’s fun I guess. It’s like a mini escape where you forget about everything else. Just don’t do it everyday. Once a few weeks or a month is fine. It’s fun. Enjoy it and don’t feel bad!
Great job, Louis, your body will thank you immensely, now and in the future. Now, your second task is to quit being a vagabond. put down stakes, settle down somewhere and get a 9 to 5 job. Peace!
Lol! Thanks for the message. My body is already thanking me immensely. But quit being a vagabond…. 😂😭 The most unnatural thing in this world is to sit stuck behind a desk from 9-5 in front of a screen. Pretending to work. The reality is most people in a 9-5 do about an hour or two of deep work a day. The rest is bullshit. Your building someone else’s dream. Why not escape the rat race, take some risks and build your own dream. Live on your own terms, work your own hours, wear whatever you want and work towards something your actually passionate about. Put stakes down, settle down, and work 9-5 is the worst advice I’ve ever heard. There is so much more to life than that! Especially in 2023/2024. I hope you find the courage to go and look for it!

The stress from your on/off relationship with Cindy probably drove you to drink a lot. Hopefully now yous are on a better path you won’t need alcohol as much! Good man
